Beware: Only one of the 5 books was written by Alexandria Clarke
This set of books is extremely difficult to review, considering there are multiple authors, but only Alexandria Clarke's name is shown anywhere. I am a fan of her paranormal books, so ordered this box set, which appeared to be all her books since there were no other authors shown. The first book was indeed one of Ms. Clarke's books, although I would only give it a four, instead of my usual five. There were many errors not caught by the editors that were very distracting, such as frequently using the incorrect person's name in a sentence, etc. The second book was obviously NOT a Clarke book by its writing style, but there was only a title page with no separate author listed. I had to do a separate search to find the author, who is Skylar Finn. Another search found that the final three books were all written by J S Donovan, but I found them to be very choppy and poorly edited as well, with many mistakes in names as well. The only good book in the collection was "In a Small Town" by Alexandria Clarke, and as I stated, it wasn't one of her best. Frankly, I wouldn't waste my time on this very long, not very interesting set of ghost stories.
So I’m a sucker for small town paranormal women’s fiction books and I liked the sound of this one. Now I’m 3% in and have noticed some insane likenesses to Wynonna Earp the tv show. Which I adore except with ghosts instead of Demony peeps.
- The Wild Wild West cowboy name - Gets off bus due a supernatural reason - Wild West outback town - In town for the funeral of family - The town that hates her for something she didn’t do - The smart younger sister who’s always left behind - The abandoned children (the sisters) who’s parent walks out on them and then the other parent dies - The smart sister who’s obsessed with finding out about the history of the family to help the older sister out - The lesbian redhead deputy who’s immediately attracted to the younger sister -The younger sisters name starting with W - The younger sister who’s adamant that she’s straight when she’s clearly not.
That’s all I can think of right now as I’m only 3% in. Not saying is a bad book and I might change my star rating later but it’s a heck of a lot of same same.

This series has got to be one of the best I have ever read!!! It held my interest from beginning to end. I would have to say that these books have put this author in the same league as Willow Rose!!! Bravo!!
The characters and stories were easy to like, were human in their portrayal, believable. The only objections I had were purely grammatical. It needed work in the proofreading. The mistakes were distracting..
Such a varied collection of stories, characters, and settings that you can keep reading for many hours! All are well written and you quickly become entangled in their lives as these riveting stories unfold!
It is tough to rate this offering. Book #1 was a solid 4.5, but everything went downhill from there. There are so many mistakes that it is sometimes difficult to follow the storyline. My suggestion: Find a good proofreader/editor...
