I thought I will take months reading this book, but actually I enjoyed reading it and it didn’t take so much time. It talks about mental wellness from a holistic approach which means it concerns about mind, body and spirit. The book includes: herbal remedies, aromatherapy, food, supplements, movement, exercise and therapeutic practices. Recommended for EVERYONE, not only those who are suffering from mental illnesses.

Sticking to a new year’s resolution can be difficult. Most people give up by the second week of the year. At LPPL, we have a bevy of resources to help you stick to your resolutions. If you’re looking to improve your overall mental wellness in the new year, Pat Thomas’ book Mental Wellness: A holistic approach to mental health and healing is a great resource. This book is a great holistic tool to begin researching how to improve your overall wellness. It is broken down into easy to digest chapters that guide readers through what mental wellness is and how various holistic practices such as herbal remedies, aromatherapy, supplements, and exercise can help improve your overall wellbeing. There’s also recipes included for infusions, essential oil blends, and smoothies.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading through this book, and found many practices to incorporate into my daily life. I especially enjoyed learning about the brain-gut axis, which is basically the communication system between your central nervous system and your gastrointestinal tract. One of my favorite aspects of this book is that the author reminds to take their medicine prescribed by a doctor—essential oils can’t cure depression but certain ones can affect your mood. The holistic practices outlined in this book are designed to work with modern medicine, not to replace them. If you’re looking for easy to follow recommendations for improving mental health, Mental Wellness: A holistic approach to mental health and healing by Pat Thomas is worth checking out.

"Food Supplement" is a diet that incorporates natural foods to detoxify the body by eliminating waste and toxins from the body, and to provide the body with the nutrients it needs.

I wanted to build a healthy lifestyle by actively using aroma oils, plants, and herbs instead of chemical foods and tablets.

This book introduces many useful tips on the theme of "Mental Wellness," but the problem was that the text was small and difficult to read.

This is a beautiful book! There is so much information in it that you can refer back to again and again. There are recipes, as well as information about different foods and supplements, what they do for you, how to use them; herbal remedies, aromotherapy, even exercises to do to increase health and healing. I had to have this in my personal library! Not only is it helpful, but it is lovely to read.
