Liliana Hart

Liliana Hart spent five years teaching music in the public education system. She molded America’s youth, busted kids for smoking pot in the restrooms, and broke up illicit affairs behind the stage on a regular basis. (Liliana’s Addison Holmes Mystery Series, about a small town teacher who gets into a whole lot of trouble, is somewhat autobiographical, but she won’t confess to which parts).

Liliana began reading romance novels with all her new found free time, and when she ran out of things to read, she decided to write her own novels. The result was a 150,000 word thriller—a dazzling adventure—where the heroine was a thirty-year-old virgin assassin (Yes, you read that right). She couldn’t imagine why people weren’t knocking down her door to read it, but she persevered and began writing a second book. She finally got the hang of things, and eventually learned that losing one’s virginity wasn’t all that romantic after all. All of her books involve some kind of suspense (she just can't help herself), laughter, and a lot of steamy sex.

Since the failure of her first attempt, Liliana’s books have won awards such as: The Daphne Du Maurier, The Suzannah, The Linda Howard Award of Excellence, The Maggie, and many others. Her affiliations include Romance Writers of America and Mystery Writers of America.

Liliana loves to cook, and is addicted to reading, Internet Boggle, kickboxing, and Bones. She lives in a big, rambling house in Texas with a couple of cats to keep her company. She loves to get emails from readers.

Enjoy the Adventures!

Wow! Liliana Hart never disappoints!!!

Every time I read one of her books I get so wrapped up in it I can’t put it down. I am a huge fan of the JJ Graves series and with every book the series just gets better and better. I just finished “Dirty Minds” less then 10 minutes ago and I feel like an addict jonesing for his next fix. Waiting for the next book is both exhilarating and devastating at the same time. Thankfully the next book is due out in September. If you haven’t read a Liliana Hart book before pick any one and get started. You won’t be disappointed.

well now that was an explosive ending!!!

Jaye and Jack are back with bodies piling up, a military angle, lawyers and sleazy government workers, women being trafficked and some help from the Carvers… I couldn’t have asked for more.

Jack and Jaye think they are going to have a free weekend when their teenage houseguest, Doug, is visiting his mother. Of course, that doesn't happen. FBI agent Carter makes a brief appearance. He's still in hiding after discovering something he shouldn't. Jack and Jaye under surveillance by the FBI. And there's a little matter of a sniper killing people. What they discover is truly awful. This book does a good job with the case storyline. We also get to see other characters that we know and love. We also see some advancement of Jack and Jaye's relationship. What they do is taking a toll on them and they need to figure out how to deal with it. I look forward to learning more about that in the next book.

I'm addicted to this series, plain and simple, and as far as I am concerned, Liliana Hart cannot write fast enough. It's been a while since I've read the last book but it's like coming home. I love the banter between Jaye and Jack and the next best character is Carver. I really hope the situation is solved soon and we get more Carver and Magnolia. Doug and Mackenzie are also entertaining but it's still not the same. I don't care if this is realistic or not - the sassy AI laptops are very funny with their own comments to the scenes. The crime here was ugly but with an interesting closure. I would have loved to see how Kateryna fared as, when it was not clear who was responsible, I thought they might make her disappear. It felt a bit rushed in the end but was still a good part of the series. Now I'm looking forward to the next one. Book 14 will only be available in October and I hope it won't get pushed back. If you haven't started the series, I really recommend it. Great characters with great stories.

I have no idea why I picked this one up without much research. This is from the middle of a long series. Right off the bat I knew I stepped into the middle of a series but I was able to sink right into it. The characters are cool, check. The crimes were well done, check. The chase was fun, check. The conclusion was appropriate, check. Overall it was at time fast ‘n fun and at other times deep ‘n heavy. It never honestly picked a lane.

A steady continuation that keeps the tone consistent while adding a bit more depth to the central relationships.

The mystery has an interesting premise and unfolds at a measured pace, with a few surprises along the way.

The dialogue remains a strong point, witty and natural, helping to carry the story even when the plot slows.

It’s not the most standout instalment, but it’s reliable and enjoyable.

A puzzle you can't put down until all the pieces fit.

The JJ Graves book series rocks. I've read all the stories and they just keep getting better and better. JJ is the town coroner and also owns the funeral home. Her husband Jack is the town sheriff and between the two, they are always surrounded by some kind of danger. How they go about figuring out what is going on and why is like putting together a complicated jigsaw puzzle with some of the pieces missing. Their friends and co-workers are fun, quirky, and just plain awesome and make these books an enjoyable read. I can't wait fir the next book in the series.

I have this as book 13 with a different story than the description given. J.J. and Jack are witnesses to a shooting, that leaves one man dead and a secret life revealed. Yet, the man's secrets reaches into the department of justice and the state department. As Jack and J.J investigate, a former mobster, a state department representative, military veterans and women sold to rich men are uncovered. Its up to Jack and J.J. to follow the clues and track down the evidence hold the guilty accountable. This was an interesting story and to some extent has changed the relationship between Jack and J.J.

Another great read in this series

Yet again I was stupid and read the whole thing in one sitting and will now have to wait forever for the next one! It it was worth it.

I really love this series and all these characters, though I think Mackenzie was my favorite in this one!😁 A death by sniper reveals some ugly information and the race to find the shooter is complicated by connections and government agencies and secrets. Thank goodness for Doug!

We get a little taste of Carver and the ongoing mystery of what he’s discovered that has him hiding out. I can’t wait until that one is unraveled.

The tension and suspense work well and the mystery rolls out nicely giving us the opportunity to figure out what is going on. And once again we have a lot of grey in what should be a black and white murder case. Hart weaves a great story time and time again. She’s a auto pre-order and first day read always for me.

Dirty minds grabs you from the start

Dirty Minds is a good addition to the series. The story line is fresh, and the characters keep evolving. I like the side story with Carver and can't wait for the next book to read how it develops and concludes.

l love JJ and Jack. Fast paced book. Always enjoy LH books. The mysteries are good with a light romantic twist and no vulgar conversations or descriptive sex. I'm to a point in my life where I value a good story more than sex. Snipers and child trafficking and a little Carver speeds things along. Too bad we may never see the next book.

“Dirty Minds” is another great installment in the J.J. Grave’s series. This time J.J. and her husband are out on a Friday night with several friends from work at the new restaurant/ bar, The Purple Pig. While laughing and joking around they notice an older man hitting on a young woman in a tight red dress. Of course the gang begin making wagers about where this couple consummate their date, is the guy married and even what type of car he drives. However, what no one wagered on was the man Will would fall victim to a sniper’s bullet and they would be in the middle of a crime scene.

It seems the victim is a slimy high powered attorney who has a penchant for young girls. Before the ink can even dry on the autopsy report one of the ex military suspects in the case falls victim to the sniper. We also learn that a close friend if the first victim may be involved but is working for the state department and is virtually untouchable or is he?

Meanwhile, Carter is back in town and the FBI has rookie agents following J. J. and James looking for Carter. Little do they know but Carter is always one step ahead of them and he even designed H.J’s security system.

I enjoyed this read. It had a nice mix of action and intrigue but one thing that bothered me was they left a few situations unresolved such a what happened to the girl from Ukraine who had been trafficked by the first victim? This bothered me because the author pulls at our heartstrings with the girl’s plight but then leaves us hanging. Oh well maybe she will revisit this situation in the next book in the series. I sure hope so.

This case stressed me out. Trafficking is one of those topics that make me unbelievably anxious and gives me very real nightmares, so it was very difficult for me to get through this one. For the majority of the book it was a two star read for me not just because I felt sideswiped by the topic surrounding the case but the grammatical errors seem to have gotten worse. There were inconsistencies than irritated me, particularly when one of the victims seemingly commits suicide and Jack mentions there being no weapon, when two pages prior, Jaye mentions the gun laying by the victim’s hand in the carpet.
The reason I’m giving it 3 stars is because I’ve been waiting for potential baby news from our leading couple, and at the end of this book Jaye FINALLY agrees to start trying for baby with Jack. Thirteen books, THIRTEEN!!! That’s how long it’s taken. I’m here for baby news. Woohoo!!

Jack and Jaye are out with friends when she notices a young woman with a group of business people. Minutes later, gunshots are let loose, but only one man is killed, one from the table she noticed.

Learning about the victim causes details to surface that explain why he’d be a target, and another guy is killed before he can talk about what he knows.

At the same time, the team, with help from Doug and McKenzie, uncovers a human trafficking ring, and the killers have been seeking some vigilante justice.

I don’t generally read books about trafficking, but I loved the twist of having the killers be good guys instead of murderers. The story with Carver is still unclear, though he and his family are safe, but I’m hoping they’ll be back soon.

With a sniper on the loose, Jack and JJ are trying desperately to figure out what is going on and why. We start to see more of what is going on with the Ben Carver situation, and now you have to wonder what did Ben get himself into. There are many moments that are very high octane in this book and I must admit that I’m sad to see that the author has taken a break and may not even return to writing. I’m a little frustrated that as of this moment there is no closure on many of the story lines however, I still enjoyed this book as I have the entire series. When you read this series it always feels like visiting old friends or family and you never want it to end.

With every book in this series I ask myself why I am continuing. I really like JJ and Jack as protagonists, but I want to be emotionally invested in a book and that is mostly achieved through the MCs. We're 13 books in now and nothing really happens to Jack and JJ and nothing has changed (although we finally get some discussions on starting a family at the end). The murder mystery is okay in this one but I did find some of the discussions on suspects kind of boring. I will check out the next book since I came this far.

What a blast!!!

As always this is a great story with plot ups and downs and wonderful characters. Hart has a knack of pulling the reader into the very center of the story and making the characters so real they can be touched. Her writing is fast paced with humor and romance spread liberally throughout. I can't wait for the next book. I never want to be without a new Liliana Hart book. VERY STRONGLY RECOMMEND DIRTY MINDS!!!

Absolutely FANTASTIC.

I love this series. I especially love the witty banter between Jaye & Jack. It is EPIC.

This was beyond fast paced with a lot of dark edges. This book has it all. Mystery, twisted scenario with the back drop of this couple who kicks a$$ every time. I’m dying for the book that tells us what Carver got into. Hopefully next. I sure hope this series doesn’t end soon because it’s so dang good.
