Turns out human DNA is spread all across the universe, but actual humans are believed to be extinct. That is, until I’m randomly picked up by a passing slave ship. As if being abducted by aliens isn’t terrifying enough, now I’m about to be sold to a space brothel. I figure things can’t get much worse, until the ship I’m on is attacked by alien bounty hunters. Sparks start to fly when I meet Rovos, the gorgeous leader who promises to take me back to Earth. Only, I don’t know where Earth is and the aliens who kidnapped me aren’t talking. Despite our growing attraction, Rovos is determined to keep me at arms length. He knows the danger of his trade. The heartache it brings. So he vows to find me somewhere safe. Even if it guts him to let me go. Even if I beg him to let me stay.
The beginning was the usual trope of the heroine getting abducted by aliens who want to sell her to brothels and breeding houses. She is rescued by a group of Bounty Hunters who happened to raid the Slave Ship she was on for days. I liked the added concept of the human DNA being spread out in the galaxy and humans believed to be extinct. Which explains why some aliens may look very humanoid.
What I liked about Rovos was how attracted to Anna he was. The telling with his changing eye color was very cute. The only thing that bothered me with him was all the push-pulling he was doing. He was so indecisive with how he felt towards Anna, lying to himself on what he wanted. He was also taking all the decisions by himself without consulting her and what she wanted to do.
Anna was a strong heroine. I really appreciate when female characters are able to defend themselves to certain extends.
''If this were a romance novel, I would describe his scent as something ridiculous, like the sharp tang of metal and warm male.''-Anna
I liked the action but I found the pacing of the story a little bit too fast. The situations didn't flow organically to me. Not much respite between the scenes and events. It didn't feel like they gave me the time to truly enjoy the plot.
The steam was nice and I think I liked Rovos and Anna together. They had a nice chemistry in bed but their relationship development was not really deep. It was an insta-love that wasn't really explained. I think I would have liked more bonding between them. There was no Fated Mates situation, but I think that explanation, even being a recycled idea, would have made the insta-love a little bit more believable to me.
Overall and by all means, it wasn't a bad story at all. I think it was a nice fast read. It didn't blow my mind but I had a good time. Pretty safe standalone (but the main plot continues in the next books) and good side characters as well.
What a great story! This new book from author Deysi O'Donal is "Anna's Bounty, Book 1 in the Earth's Bounty series". The characters are well written, but the world building skills are even more developed and intriguing. A fantastic plot moves this book along, as we anticipate Book 2 and what will happen next with other characters in the mix.
The main character in "Anna's Bounty" is Anna, a nurse who never believed in aliens or the possibility of an alien abduction...until it happens to her. She is terrified as she finds herself on an alien space craft, being prodded, poked, and tortured by aliens as they attempt to determine her sex and install a language device in her head, without a sedative. Once the device has been installed, in spite of the pain, she is able to understand the aliens and learns just what terrifying future awaits her. Before their plans can be realized, the ships is captured by alien bounty hunters. The bounty hunters, lead by an alien being known as Rovos, promise to keep Anna safe and to do everything I their power to return her to earth. But the attraction between Rovos and Anna may just be a problem.
If you decide to give this book a try, I feel certain that you will enjoy this fun, spicy, action filled romance. I am super impressed with this new author and the beginning of this series. Can't wait to see what transpires in Book 2!
I had the chance to read Anna's Bounty by Deysi O'Donal and I am in love! There's such a unique twist on who humans are in relation to the universe - it got me totally hooked from the beginning. The side characters are thoroughly developed, and I can't wait to read Igid's story in particular. The world building was so fun, and I really enjoyed both of our main characters. No spoilers here, but definitely give this world a try. I LOVED IT!
I read this as a beta reader! The idea that humans are actually aliens has long been a favorite of mine! Think about it, if that's true then what are the possibilities for humanity as a whole! I really enjoyed the characters especially one specific side character who is sassy and doesn't give a shit about pulling her punches.

Anna's Bounty de Deysi O'Donnell Serie Earth's bounty libro 1
Argumento:
I really enjoyed this book. The author does a great job at world building and the characters are believable. I became invested in Anna’s experience and wanted to throw my shoe at Rovos a few times! Lol The love scenes are H O T Looking forward to more adventures from this author

First of all, let me just say that the parts that were steamy, I was forced to re-read them. Repeatedly. All right, because I really wanted to. The chemistry between Anna and Rovos is crazy hot. That said, I really liked Deja's Bounty a lot so I was really looking forward to this book. I got this confused with Deja's Bounty because I thought Anna's Bounty was the prequel but it just didn't seem like it even though Deja did appear with the resistance. It does have a cliff-hanger but I know that Deysi O'Donal does not disappoint. I'm very excited to see where this story goes in the next one.

What a great book! I really enjoyed it. The plot idea behind the main storyline was really different and the characters were great. It kept me hooked from beginning to end and I was desperate to know more. I didn’t want to put it down-- cue reading whilst brushing my teeth! I'll definitely be reading the next books!
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC for this book.
This book throws you into a whole new world, it caught me off guard with how captivating it was. I'm already looking forward to the next book to learn more about this universe and the characters backstories. The romance between the two lead characters was believable and while it did feel like a case of hero worship, captive falls in love with her rescuer, it had enough of a unique storyline and character development to keep you interested. Definitely looking forward to future books from this author. If you want something new but still a classic romance with some steamy scenes this is a book for you!

I LOVED this book! The author's building of an alien abduction and just the story building was really easy to follow and get sucked into. I think the steam is also medium hot as well, so that was really fun to read as well! I just absolutely LOVE ML's whom are such sweethearts, and this ML is definitely right up that category. I also did really feel in touch with the FL whom goes through the stages of grief and fear, but also attachment and growing love for the ML.
I do think my only reason for making this 4.5 stars is that there are some unnecessary points that were never really brought up again, that I felt should have either been cut out of the book or expanded on. The ML's tail? I'm fine if it was used in steamy ways or not, but I find it interesting that this one feature of the ML was not mentioned ever again really after the FL notices it for the first time. I think I'm just used to reading alien books, that just at least mention or illustrate the differences of each other. However the implication very very very lightly sounds like they're sort of (but not) feline type? with it really just being the purring, the eyes, and the tail being the only parts that are mentioned early on. There are a lot of other small plot points or details that don't get touched, but I felt they are mostly negligible.
Anyways regardless - this author is definitely on my watch list! I want to read what happens next, so looking super forward to the next books!

'Anna's Bounty' by Deysi O'Donal is the first book in her new Earth's Bounty series and tells the story of Anna, a nurse, and Rovos, an alien bounty hunter. Anna was going about her business working, living her life when she is abducted by aliens. Anna didn't really believe in aliens and now she is on a ship being poked and prodded. She can't understand anything that they are saying until they put a translator device in her head. She wished she hadn't gotten a translator device because now she can hear them talking about how much money they are going to make off of her when they sell her to a brothel or a breeding program. Anna is pretty sure that her life is over.
An alarm sounds and shouting is heard from outside the area Anna is held. The ship has been overtaken by alien bounty hunters. Rovos, the leader of the bounty hunters, subdued all of the pirates and has assured all the captured individuals that they would be returned to their rightful homes. Anna was glad to hear that but she didn't know where Earth was and Rovos did not either. But he promised to keep her safe regardless. She hopes keeping her safe means keeping her close.
Ms. O'Donal has written an engaging start to her new series. This book is well written and well developed with interesting characters and an intriguing plot. The story has suspense, action, surprises, laughs, and plenty of steam. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who likes some sci-fi with their romance.

Anna is a nurse on Earth. She doesn't believe in aliens, *however* she's forced to come to terms with the fact that not only do aliens exist, AND that she's been kidnapped by them.
Her kidnappers plan to take her to a brothel where humans are a luxury, the Volthios slaver ship is boarded by bounty hunters, and Anna feels an instant attraction to Rovos.
The characters were well developed, and the attraction between Anna and Rovos was excellent - I loved the will they, won't they - OMG what happens now. I really rooted for this couple. :)
Please please please tell me that Igid is going to get her own story.
Can't wait for the next one!
I received an ARC of this book for my honest opinion.
A fantastic new author and an exciting and compelling book! I loved this book! I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't put it down until it was finished. The premise is a definite twist on the humanoid space proliferation idea, which was absolutely refreshing and new! I loved the progression of the two main characters. Rovos took the longest to come around, his feet dragging was kind of aggravating, but he reminded me of one of my sons who dated the same girl for eight years before he figured out that he wanted to marry her, lol. Annah had the most to deal with and she grew in her role with each chapter, getting stronger and trying to figure out how to live the next part. There was a lot of steam in the pages, and enough physical action to keep the pace snappy. For a first book release, this author wrote a book that is engaging, fun, sexy, and easy to read. She is definitely an author that I'll be following and I'm looking forward to Treto's book soon!
While walking home from work one night, Anna is abducted by aliens. The aliens aren't sure what they have, if it's male or female or what species it is. When they figure it out, they are thrilled with the amount of $$ they will make selling her to a brothel!! They implant a translating chip in her head, with no anesthesia. They continue to poke and prod and continually abuse her. Bounty hunters capture the ship and the captain Rovos finds Anna and rescues her. There is a crazy attraction, but she wants to go home and he won't act on the attraction. He promises to protect her and take her to a safe place. The story has steam, action, and is well paced. Solid read. You can read it for FREE with your KU subscription. Enjoy!!

Anna never thought much about aliens or alien abduction stories, but she’s about to get first-hand experience. She is kidnapped and not treated delicately as they prepare her for sale. The device that lets her understand their language might even be worse since she now knows their plans for her.
Before she is actually sold, another ship rescues her from her captors. The bounty hunters are led by Rovos, who promises to keep Anna safe try to return her to Earth (except no one knows where it is). But Anna wouldn’t mind staying with Rovos if she can convince him she’s willing to give this new life a try. Will he give in and make her his?
Loved this exciting story! It has tons of sweet and steamy romance... with a great couple that warms the heart. Danger, drama, adventure.. Fantastic characters!
When human Anna is abducted from Earth by alien slavers she thinks all hope is gone. Rescued by a crew of alien bounty hunters she is horrified to discover that humans are a prized commodity because the galaxies think pure humans have died out. And to make matters even worse, she’s gone and fallen for her alien rescuer Rovos. An exciting romp through space and emotional upheaval, betrayal and fighting. I loved it.
Anna’s Bounty by Deysi O’Donal is an exciting addition to the Sci-Fi Romance genre. Though the theme of human females being abducted from Earth is not a new one the author has added her own unique spin to the trope that holds the reader engaged with its imaginative execution. Well crafted characters supported by a fast paced narrative keep the story flowing with action, adventure and a sizzling hot relationship between the two leads Anna and her rescuer bounty hunter Rovos. The entire crew of bounty hunters consisted of likable supporting characters who added their own special flair to the storyline. I’m looking forward to reading more stories in this new series.

I found this author via a readers group and if I didn't know through there that this was her first book I never would have guessed! It's much better than many I've read, with great world building and compelling characters. Can't wait for the next one to come out!
DNF. Not for me. The writing was a little immature, and the I didn't like the FMC's reaction to being abducted. Lot's of grammer errors and misused words as well.
Great start to a series by the new author Deysi O’Donal. I loved the characters of Rovos and Anna. The romance sizzled off the pages! The supporting characters…I wish they were a little more developed…thus the four stars. I’m sure we will see the evil Volethos again. Deja’s adventure seemed interesting and I am hoping she gets her own story. Fresh out of the gate, this author shows potential and I will enjoy reading her next book. ❤️
This book is a great start to a good series. Action and fated mates are my favorites to read and this book did not disappoint at all. If your into a book that keeps you interested from beginning to end and has you silently (and sometimes out loud) rooting for them to win. Anna and Rovos make a good couple and I couldn't be more excited for them. I can't wait for the next book in the series and you will feel the same. Go ahead, get the book, you won't regret it for a second.

This is my first book by Deysi O'Donal but it will def not be my last! I was hooked from the second she was abducted and ended up on an alien spaceship. O'Donal's world-building was spot on, and I loved seeing the places she created as the story moved along. The characters were well developed and the back and forth between Anna and Rovos had me turning the page to find out if they would finally get together! I love a forbidden romance type of trope and this has so much of that between these two characters. The tension between these two was perfect. I cant wait for book two in this series!!
The first book in the Earth's Bounty series a well written story that held my interest until the end. Anna gets abducted from Earth and Rovos and his crew of alien bounty hunters saves her. There is suspense, drama, danger, twists, turns, villains, and romance. I want to read the next book. This is a new Author to me. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I don't know what other pen name she wrote under but this is the first book I've read by this author and totally enjoyed it. This was a shot, quick story with lots of steam, romance, danger, adventures, and drama. Great characters and delightful. I will watch for other books by this author. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
loved it !!! love Rovos... swoon... love Anna.... this is their story... a fast paced action packed drama... kidnapped... attacked.... saved by bounty hunters...yeah, this is my life... heart aching... heart breaking.... such a good story....

Another by this author that I had to read straight through. I love the colorful characters and the vivid pictures the authors words paint. Can't wait to see what's next!
This was a quick and fun read! I thoroughly enjoyed it! There's a ton of up and down drama that typically comes with reluctant heroes, but Rovo is worth the hassle ;) There's plenty of shoot outs and chase scenes with steamy loving in between! Overall, a blast to read!
