He’s not interested in forever, but she won’t accept anything less…
Former model and serial monogamist Simon Amato enjoys being in a relationship, but he always calls it quits before things get serious. The gamble of love is too great a risk – he lost once before, and it nearly broke him. He never intends to put his heart on the line again, until he meets her…
Cancer-survivor Emma Williams has a plan to take back control over her life, and Simon, with his insistence that he will never settle down, is not part of it. Though he offers his assistance in finding her forever guy, his help seems more like subtle sabotage. As the past starts to sneak up on them, the boundaries of their friendship are stretched to the breaking point, forcing them to come to terms not only with each other’s scars - but their own.
This standalone, slow burn contemporary romance features the characters from the author’s debut novel, “If I Fell in Love”, also available on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited.
This book was amazing! The chemistry between Emma and Simon was off the charts. And there were definitely several parts where I found myself reading through tears. I highly recommend reading "Not Part of the Plan"!
Loved it! And a slow burn it was. Lol. Like it drove me crazy, but in a good way. Emma and Simon were great characters that had me rooting for them from the start. Well written, great dialogue. Funny, sweet, sexy and sentimental. I read this book as and ARC and am leaving this review voluntarily.
What can I say about this book? If you want a page turning, slow burn, quick read; you have found the right story. The characters were brilliantly written. The storyline was, as well. Definitely a book I would recommend.
This book is for sure one of those you need to read. It’s a slow-burn romance that builds wonderfully through the pages. Simon and Emma are on entirely different relationship paths, but sometimes that can be a good thing. There is instant chemistry between the two, but Emma finds out Simon is a serial dater. They come to an agreement to be friends thinking that will be enough. It isn’t. They embark on a slow-burn romance that builds with each page turn. Both Simon and Emma have scars, one emotional, one physical. They are each worried about how those will be received by the other. The author does a great job of keeping your interest in this easy-to-read romance. Your emotions will swing the full range in here. Then hang on for a twist, one that could spell disaster. I highly recommend this book as one you need to read. Not just put on your list, but to read.
This one is definitely my favorite so far. Absolutely, positively loved every moment of it. There was so much heat and chemistry. I felt it oozing from the pages
What w wonderful slow burn love story! The character growth for both of the mains was done so realistically and complimented the love story as it grew. I was captivated and rooting hard for the couple the entire time. The side characters were all dynamic and interesting and complemented the main story so well! Highly recommend it, and I am excited to read more by this author soon!
