Friends to lovers. Trying to push away feelings never help and trying to run from what is suppose to be doesn't help. Ali and Westley were meant to be.

Friendly love
I love a good friend's to lovers romance and this didn't disappoint.
Westley (I appreciated the unique name) was finally bouncing back after a rough time in quarantine. She lost some family members and went months without seeing her family. However, she was able to start a new virtual business that turned into some new opportunities. Current state she was excited to see her best friend forever that she hadn't seen in over a year.
Ali was a former NBA player that invested in businesses to keep a steady cash flow. He had achieved freedom and was excited to finally get back to his home town where his family was and of course his fave Westley. They had been friends for years and for the first time he saw her as more than a friend...he saw her as a beautiful woman. Everything in him wanted to claim her.
As their relationship shifts and they become more than friends...their physical connection is magnetic. They are very in tune with each other. However, they are both scared to ruin their friendship. Ali especially doesn't want to hinder her growth. As they take a few steps back they realize together is what they want to be. It was sweet to see Ali sacrifice a little to give them a shot.

Westley and Ali, friends since childhood haven't seen each other in a while because of quarantine, but when they do they start to see each other in a different way. Out here creating soul ties and things. The growth in their new relationship is something you don't want to miss. Ali proved time after time that he'd do anything for Westley and it was beautiful.

Ohhhh! My nerves!!!! They was on them turf! I do not understand why bestfriends can't fall.in love if they want to???? The respect, loyalty, and companionship is already in place . Anywho, it was great to watch Ali and Westlley get to love. Nice read!

Sweet and steamy
That Ali sure was a giver. He is definitely a book bae. The sex was so steamy. They weren't just thrown in just to have them. But were necessary. Although the characters well very well developed I thought Ali and Westley's story was far fetched. Sitting on his lap, he slapping her on the butt. They were very flirty for either one of them to never had feelings for each other. I mean I had male best friends and we were very close bringing food to each other his every other visit to my job, fighting anyone thst bothered, having something to say about my clothes, very protective but I feel for him. The other two male friends who spent money on me low key liked me but I kept them in friend zone so I could get with their relationship at the beginning.
And the usage of best friend to describe each other almost every page grated my pure T nerves- I was like "I get it you guys are nest froends!" But once they turned that corner it was beautiful to read. Highly recommend!

My Opinion:
'Tampering with Temptation' was a sweet love story of how the best friendship became a loved one as it was for Ali and Westly. It was interesting how this author put these two together as they could finally work out all the problems they had before them to get where they wanted to be. One could tell that these two had love and devotion from the very beginning. The love scenes were very explosive, hot, and stream. If it ain't that. I don't want it!
West was a little shaky with the indecisiveness, but not so much that I couldn't totally identify with her. Even our mental, spiritual, and emotional growth was just about parallel! Only difference being an almost 20 year age difference, and that I'd quit my job before transitioning into something equally big & different yet also extremely gratifying. Even the amount of weight gained was about the same! 😳😂 Shoot the freedom I felt in loving on myself and, finally, my body enough to wear crop tops and go braless resonated with me!
As for Ali? Whew chile! 🗣️ God, please send me a love who can communicate and understands how to extend grace and space when needed - and also be as nasty as we want to be!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🥰

This was a cute friends-to-lovers novella that I finished in a few hours. Ali and Westley were perfect for each other, even though it took them a little while to accept it (well, Westley anyway; Ali was ready!). The sex scenes were great! I loved that the author wasn't afraid to go there, and 'get there', if you know what I mean. There was passion, it was steamy, and was all around sexy. I've read books lately from other authors and I don't know. It seems like some of them are uncomfortable with writing about sex because the scenes aren't that good, leaving the characters with a lack of chemistry. Not with this book though! I felt the passion between Ali and Westley and longed for more with each page. It was clear that they really loved each other and just needed to get out of their own way and make their relationship official.

Wesley and Ali's transition from being friends to lovers is a bit fast for my liking but they still convinced me of their genuine care and adoration for each other so I still enjoyed reading about their story. I also wanted to note how both of them care for their friendship and how they would choose to be platonically be together because they can't live without each other. The friends to lovers trope in this one is so chef's kiss! I also loved reading about a very rich friend being generous and loving to the heroine. We love a "friend" whose love language is gift giving. The setting of this one is very interesting as well since this was a year after the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns.

I really enjoyed this book but I wanted to love it!! This is about best friends Westley and Ali who realize their feelings for each other after all these years, for me Ali saved this story, he is best friends GOALS! Such a caring and attentive sweet heart but definitely knows how to get down and dirty between the sheets.......Westley however, it was kind of touch and go with her for me, I really wanted to like her and in some scenes I did but as a whole I found her to be unfair and a bit selfish.
All in all I'm glad I read it and will continue to read these Boss babe Novellas because I love the writing style!

Romance of fire
I loved Westley and Ali’s story. B. Love makes characters so authentic. I know we love a full on novel from B. , but her novellas never make me feel like I’m missing out on anything. Her character development is always on point. You never feel like you don’t know the characters and their situation. Ali is everything!!! And I love that Westley loved this man far beyond what he could do for her. This is a short , romantic and sexy story that should not be missed!

Nice Novella
Tampering with Temptation is a friends to lovers book following Westley and Ali. I like that this book was done during Covid and I love that the heroine was not your typical slim black woman but a women with curves. Westley was well written and definitely relatable in my humble opinion. Ali Ali his unwavering devotion to Westley even when it went against his own heart was selfless unconditional love at its finest. Although quick the overall story didn't not suffer from bad pacing. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Great read!
I really enjoyed it this short novella. The author incorporated how COVID caused Westley to change the outlook of her life after losing both of her jobs. That was something that many people had to adjust to during this time. Westley and Ali decided to take their friendship to another level after not being able to physically see one another for a month. Although the relationship was strained initially, they managed to make things work. Absolutely love friends to lovers stories and would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys friends to lovers romance stories.

Him speaking on Derrick should have shown Westley exactly how he was feeling. Westley needed to know and Ali not only told her, but showed her how he was feeling about her. I'm glad they realized they could have their relationship and friendship. Amazing job, B! Covid helped Westley to truly move forward with pursuing more.

Cute read. I really enjoy friends to lovers stories, and this one fit the bill. Ali is allat man! Ali seeing his friend after a year, changed his whole perspective on life. He "saw" her for the first time, and his heart, mind and soul wanted her to be his. Getting Westley on the same wavelength was a bit challenging, but it didn't take long to get her there. They were adorable together. 👍👍👍

A nice short read! Straight to the point with understanding Westley and Ali’s long friendship. I loved that Ali had no problems letting Westley know how he really felt about her. I also loved that Westley realized over the years how she didn’t speak up when it came to what she was feeling but did in the case of her and Ali. The ending was cute and it was a nice overall story!

I loved getting to know Westley and Ali! Ali was definitely best friend bae 😘😘😘. I think their transition to lovers was smooth, very sexy 💦🔥and very cute. Have you ever read a book that was both too deep and not deep enough?
There were scenes where Westley and Rahim talked, communicated and held the best for each other.
Then came the other scenes where they were basically acting like children, all of a sudden tongue tied, not willing to speak their truth.
Then, the preachy vibe of the book pissed me the fuck off.

Their relationship is beautiful. It always takes a min for both parties to get on the same page sometimes in a relationship and this was no different. I loved their relationship from beginning to end. The way they are there for each other and the friendship. I'm happy Westley came to her senses about their relationship.

Aww man this was a good friends to lover story. I'm glad that West decided to tell Ali how he felt about her. At first Ali wasn't with it but then she came to grips with her feelings and went with it . Looking forward to hearing more about Ali and West and how their love blossomed.

Ali & Westly 😍😍😍 Omggggg I love a good friends to lover troupe and this one did it da me. Very realistically written capturing the uneasy feelings around making the jump from friends to a relationship…but the courage to take the risk can be so sweet! A happy ending and a great story!!

Westley was a boss babe in the truest form. She hit rock bottom but still made it out top.
Ali was by her side the whole way through and the transition from best friends to lovers was no different.
This book was short yet so fulfilling and Author B came through for us with this gem as always! ❤️

While I love a friend's to lover story, I was over all the indecisiveness going on with Westley and Ali. They made a great couple, tbh, yet let 'what ifs' hold them back. I love that no matter their feelings, they each were open and honest with the other. I'd love an update on these two.
