He never craved anyone as deeply. But winning her may destroy him…
Storm Reed demands control. A powerful Dom, the influential billionaire requires absolute submission from his partners. But when he meets a gorgeous young woman who stirs his soul at a charity event, he’s driven to pursue her intoxicating innocence despite her off-limits virginity.
Securing several dates with her, Storm battles to keep his rougher instincts in check. But as she unexpectedly consumes his heart, her friendship with one of his most-hated rivals threatens to unleash his need for total domination.
Can Storm cross the young beauty’s boundaries and still secure her undying love?
In the Eye of Storm is the searing first book in the tempestuous Storm dark romance series. If you like bad-boy billionaires, blistering bedroom scenes, and unpredictable cliffhangers, then you’ll love Pandora Snow’s emotionally raw tale.
Trigger Warning: This novel contains scenes of cheating, obsession, and non-consensual punishment.

Where do I start with this review? First of all, it is written in Storm’s POV, entirely, which I generally don’t enjoy reading, so I persevered to finish this story. It was a struggle, but that is only because of my dislike of this type of writing.
Overall, the storyline was good, but getting into the mindspace of a dominant obsessive personality was emotionally draining. This man is emotionally crippled by his childhood experiences, thus making him the persona he is today. He is a compulsive dominate, unable to relinquish control at any level. He has anger management issues. He is addicted to sex, and has a binding arrangement with an exclusive escort for dom/sub relations every day to release his pentup anger and sexual problems. Everything is fine, until he meets Descent, a naive virgin who has him entranced.
Descent is young, inexperienced, a virgin, who has lost both her parents and is recovering emotionally from that loss. She meets Storm, and is relentlessly pursued by him, unbeknownst to her that he sees her as his perfect submissive whom he wishes to train to obey his every desire.
They fall in love, but Storm’s inability to reconcile his dominate persona with the new feelings of love he begins to get for Descent, lead to his unraveling. Because of this lack of control he continues seeing escorts to release his struggling emotions. His lack of control to keep his anger leased results in Descent reassessing their relationship. There is also the inclusion of a third player in this story. One who is triggering Storm’s emotional meltdowns, and who is also silently and ruthlessly pursuing Descent as well.
This story has triggers. It is an emotional roller coaster. And it does not have a HEA. It is the first of a series, so it has a cliffhanger.

In The Eye Of Storm by Pandora Snow is a new style of romance writing for Pandora Snow. Storm Reed is a multibillionaire. He leads a darker lifestyle; he seeks relationships outside the "normal" convention. I spent a good deal of the book trying to decide whether I like him or not. I am leaning towards thinking I might. I believe his past screwed up what he thought he needed from relationships but now he finds himself craving the love of a perfect woman. Descent is a soft soul who doesn't have any real relationship experience with men. Storm literally storms into her life and it is never the same.
The book is written from Storm's perspective. I am a little curious about Descent's feelings and wished we got more of this. The romance is darker so this book isn't for everyone but I am glad I took the time. I don't remember if it came with trigger warnings but it should be noted. As I said it is a departure from the traditional romance by Pandora Snow but her writing comes across as fresh. Storm is an antihero of sorts because he isn't one who knows about feelings but the fact that he does consider Descent's feelings is a start. One suggestion is more from Descent. Other than from Storm's perspective I don't feel I know Descent as well. Be forewarned, this is a series and it does end on a whopper of a cliffhanger. I am definitely waiting for the next part.
I enjoyed this book found the characters very likability but Storm really has his problems, poor Decent is just to innocent for someone like him but that’s what the book about and it’s a great storyline looking forward to the next book
Why should you read this book?🤔 👇🏻 It has those “stormy” 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ • 👍🏻Author Pandora has done an amazing job with the background of the story, plot and seamlessly blended characters🤩
👍🏻 The story is about Storm and Descent. Storm demands control in all avenues of life and is used to getting his way until he meets Descent.
Storm has deep issues that are result of his childhood trauma where the only type of love he knows is from pain. Descent invokes emotions in his hardened heart, her love so pure love and so full of innocence and compassion, something he has never experienced which leaves me confused between attraction and frustration. He struggles with his need for dominance, his extreme behavioral tendencies and control, and crosses a line he shouldn't have! Is he willing to fight his own demons or will Descent sacrifice herself for him?
👍🏻The book is written from Storm's POV which was definitely a first for me and something different too. Being a dark romance, Storm comes across as the anti-hero but since it was the first book in the series with a cliffhanger the end is yet to be known!
Stay tuned for the next book in the series!
⚠️Trigger Warning: This novel contains scenes of cheating, obsession, and non-consensual punishment. 👍🏻My recommendation: If you are looking for a dark romance, this can be your next read!🖤
This is the first book I have read from this author and I am at a loss for words. This is the story of Storm and Descent. Storm is an aggressive, cocky, manipulative, arrogant Dom who had a very traumatic childhood and never received the help he needed to deal with the fallback. He can be sadistic at times to women even though he has a foundation for abused women. Descent is a sweet, naïve, caring and very timid young woman who lost her parents at the age of 18. She exhibits all the signs of being a “submissive” (unbeknownst to her!)
I have to say that I am not a fan of Storm – he expects Descent to be exclusive to him, yet he still goes and releases his anger at Trinity (BDSM Club). This story is full of drama, manipulation, lies, deception, non-consensual spankings, passion, and will make yuou feel like you’ve been on a rollercoaster ride with the ups and downs and twists and turns of the emotions displayed not only by Descent, but by Storm as well as he starts to feel things his dominant personality is not used to. This ends on a cliffhanger, and I cannot wait to read the next book to see if my feelings will change about Storm and I hope to see Descent grow a little backbone and stand up for herself instead of falling for Storms lines. I purchased this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book honestly took me a long time to read purely due to my work life and also as it's a long book.
I usually prefer ebooks to be around 200 pages, this one is 316.
I honestly enjoyed this from Storm's POV. I definitely wouldn't call him a hero as others have. He clearly needs psychological help for the trauma he faced in childhood to prevent him from getting so aggressive!
I can't believe that this ended on such a huge cliff hanger and I can't wait to read more. Will we hear the story from Damon's perspective? I'm positive be was behind all of the problems with the overseas contract!
Well written and worth reading.
I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author via Voracious Readers Only and I'm leaving a voluntary and honest review.
Storm is a dom and on the side of sadistic. Descent is young and unexperienced. Storm sees Descent and wants her. Their relationship is not a balanced on. Storm is totally demanding and Descent is sweet. The characters were developed and were on opposite ends of the spectrum, but I enjoyed the book. Once I started it was hard to put down. It was a rollercoaster of feelings and activities. It was dark and a cliffhanger but it just makes me want more.

Snow is an interesting character. It’s a story that will take you into a roller coaster ride of emotions for him and De’sent. My Moods went from anger, empathy, sadness and confusion. Both characters have plenty of issues, that will only be resolved by them. Must read to really understand.
Great start to a duet. Looking forward to the next. Storm has a really trying childhood with lasting trauma shattering his self control being a Dom. Not sure what's to come but looking forward to reading the next book.
I'm hesitant to continue reading the second book. This story seems to concentrate on the descriptions and doesn't seem to be leading somewhere. We'll see🤔
Storm craves control, he's a dominant and craves control in all things, but when he meets Decent. Decent has lost both her parents when she meets Storm who starts to pursue her, he wants her, he sees a perfect submissive in her, but shes a virgin, so he must do everything differently to other encounters he is used to. but as new feelings of love blossom can he keep himself in control? especially when hes not the only one after Decent. well written my first book by this author and ill be back for more. this emotional dark twisting romance will have you wanting more! cant wait for book 2!
Whew, this book was a lot. There’s the m/c’s Storm Reed and Descent Skye. Storm is a Dom and he lives the BDSM lifestyle hard. It’s just the scars and trauma of his upbringing are breaking through to his current relationships. He’s blacking out and hurting the ones he loves. In the lifestyle, this is a big NO! If you’re going about a D/s relationship the right way, there isn’t room for non-consensual or dubious consent…green, yellow, red or your safe word.He meets Descent and she takes over his every thought, he becomes obsessed really and she gives him her submission, though he sort of tricks her into it. This man is a very adept businessman and he definitely has a way with words and uses that ability often with Descent to get her to bend to his will. He’s losing control and his grip on reality, I’m not sure if he’ll seek the help he so obviously needs.
I’ve read dark romance before, but there was something about Storm that bothered me. He was extreme and almost seemed manic at times. The story is from his POV, so hearing some of the things he says in his head screams 🛑🛑🛑 Descent has definitely got to be very careful.

This book had a similar vibe to Fifty Shades of Grey and the Crossfire series. An innocent heroine and a damaged Dom. The characters were intriguing. Descent was honest and open with her passion. Storm had an overload of issues and anger. It was an emotional read, lots of ups and downs. My main reason for giving 4 stars rather 5 was that it felt at times as if the author was trying to show off their big vocabulary rather than write straight-forward descriptions and scenes. I want to know what happens next with Storm and Descent.

Usually when I give a three star rating it's because the story is okay, but if I lost the book in the middle of the story, I wouldn't get it replaced. This is not the case here. This book is full of mistakes, as if the author started writing one sentence, then went in another direction half way through but didn't bother changing the first part. Usually when I get these types of books, I refuse to read them. The problem here is that the story is REALLY GOOD! You see everything through Storm's eyes and it was pained, twisted and beautiful. There are also some intense scenes around consent that are hard to read but are important in understanding the dynamics between the main characters. So here it is, I give it one start for the technical writing but I give it five stars for the style and story. Thought it ends in a cliffhanger, if the author does not fix the mistakes, I will not be reading the next book.
Although an enjoyable read there are many things that don't sit easily with me. The first is the obviously similarity to the 50 shades trilogy, rich billionaire into BDSM meets virgin, tried in induce her into the lifestyle, fails spectacularly. Yes I enjoyed seeing the story from both sides, some chapters were written from Storms viewpoint and others from Descents viewpoint. The first six chapters were full of mistakes - I think I some how got the pre proof copy and after chapter five the book stopped. So I downloaded again and got a perfect copy. I do have sympathy with Storm - our male protagonist but he is a sadist more than a DOM. Descent will eventually fall for him I'm sure but I hope as in 50 shades she manages to dial down his need to cause pain to his partner. I was given a copy of this book by voracious readers only.
This was solely hero (if you can call him that), POV. Big mistake; all romances are better when written in first person, heroine POV. As a reader, it's far better to imagine what the hero is thinking, rather than know. This hero was cocky, arrogant and a bit of a dick really. But if I'd not been in his head, my imagination would have made him a better person, attractive characteristics are personal to the reader. I read a few chapters to see if I could overcome this failing, but the writing didn't flow, it was too wordy. I got the impression that the author was using words and phrases she knew (lots of them), rather than what was appropriate for a book to flow.
This was a difficult book for me to read not because of the dark nature of the story, but of the formal style of writing. It really worked for this character, though, because Storm was wound tight as a drum at all times. His emotional condition was damaged and the relief from his internal demons seemed to come from his regular encounters with his submissive.
His obsession with the inexperienced Descent gives this book its high intensity and takes the reader on a dark emotional rollercoaster that does reach a HEA with his installment of the series. If you like damaged, obsessive and possessive Doms and the women that push them off the emotional ledge, you will want to read this book.

This is Storm and Descent's story, or the beginning of it anyway. Storm is the one telling us what he feels and he just barrels through Descent's life, taking charge and taking no prisoners. I'm curious to see what happens next and if we will know how Descent feels about this relationship. Good start of the series. I received a free ARC copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
The first book in the Storm series is addictive!! I’m not sure if I like Storm very much!! He’s Very demanding and possessive! The plot is very intense and dark. I just couldn’t stop reading! I wasn’t prepared for there to be a cliffhanger, so be aware….there is one. I hope to get the chance to read the next episode. *this honest review is based on a complimentary copy from BookSirens*
An enjoyable, captivating steamy page turner that keeps you entertained. The main characters are complete opposites to each other allowing their natural chemistry to pull them together in a fierce way. Storm and Descent's relationship triggers an emotional whirlwind making you love them. An amazing must read adult romance.
This was the first book by this author I’ve read and I’m still not sure how I feel. Storm is an aggressive Dom and afraid to let people in until Descent, who is a timid little mouse in my opinion. We are left on a cliffhanger but I’m not sure yet if I’ll be reading the rest in this series. 🖤🖤
I have no words, this first book left me speechless. The writing was fantastic and the characters amazing. The story had such a great pace...looking forward to book 2.
