This novella was better than the first one in this series, but only slightly.

We start the story with Cara who is on vacation at a cabin with a few girls from her cheerleading team, the goal being to befriend each other and thighten their bond. The thing is, she doesn't really want to be there nor does she feel close to them, and she decides to go hiking on her own. Meanwhile, Yuri is hunting with his dog and notices her. For him, it's love at first sight and he decides to silently follow her and stalk her. I can't really say much more, else I'll be spoiling the whole thing, but that's pretty much the premise.

I didn't care much for Cara, but the way she was described at the start was oddly relatable. She was reserved and she liked to do her own thing, partying with the cheerleader not really being her cup of tea. For that matter, they called her boring because she didn't necessarily join on the fun that they had, even though she did make an effort. Being an introvert myself, it's a situation that I've been in many times before and I could definitely understand Cara in that specific scene at the start. After that, everything seemed to revolve around Yuri even though she barely even knew him. It seemed to me like she wanted to escape from the life that her parents had been dictating for her, and Yuri was a sort of messiah she clung up to the first chance she got.

As for Yuri, he was possessive, obsessed and protective, but overall, I thought he fell a bit flat when he was with Cara. I really thought he'd be more intense and commanding but instead, he sort of became melodramatic with his ''I should go'', ''I can't be with you'', ''I should stay away'', ''This is the last time you see me'', etc. You get the idea. I just wanted more from him. When he was away from Cara, he would keep talking about how much he desired her and how much it pained him to stay away but when they were together, only mild stuff happened. It's just unfortunate because he had the potential to be very intense and demanding but just wasn't. Cara mentioned his dark gaze a few times, but he never released that supposed darkness.

Overall, the pacing was decent and I'm glad the author took the time to develop a bit the chemistry between Yuri and Cara. They were what the other needed and it was nice. Like I said, it's just unfortunate that the author didn't exploit Yuri's dark side as much as she could've, especially in the intimacy between the main characters. By all means, it's wasn't bad at all though! I think I'm just being difficult lol.

Also, what happened to Yuri's dog? She wasn't even in the epilogue 😭 Kiraaaaaa...

✔️HFN Epilogue: A few months later, they are living in Antigua. We also don't know if h's parents know where she is...They are most likely worried sick while she lives the good life with her new boyfriend. Very nice... 😒

Would I recommend this novella? Just like my other review, I think it might be a nice start to dark romances if you aren't familiar with them. It doesn't dive into super crazy stuff but still has a mild darkness to it and questionable behaviors/outcomes.

Yuri left Bratva after the patriarch's son killed her sister, and he's been on the run ever since. But then one day he stumbled upon Cara in the forest where she and the other cheerleaders were having a retreat. He didn't approach her immediately but continued to stalk and watch her. This stalking went for months. But no one can ever just leave Bratva, and they've tracked Cara successfully knowing she'll be Yuri's weakness. Since Yuri was stalking her he saw everything and went after Cara and his abductor. Once he found out about their location he killed those guys and apologized to Cara for bringing her into trouble but Cara wasn't having it and she's not blaming Yuri.

They got their HEA but they have to leave the country and change their names because of the connection of Bratva. They have to stay somewhere where the Bratva's power and connection won't harm them. Cara focused on her art and Yuri focused his attention on Cara. This ended in HFN living their best life on a tropical island.

This is a short ,fast paced dark romance with strong characters with a sizzling hot chemistry. The author brings secrets and suspense with a bit of adventure with the two connecting instantly. It's well written and moves quickly and smoothly with descriptive and detailed scenes. I enjoyed reading their story.

This was a hot, steamy, sweet, romantic and safe story about the ex-bratva member Yuri and Cara a college student. They met in the woods and Yuris obssession began. Insta love and lust with a bit action and a HEA👍👍👍 A great safe stalker read😉

The ending was wrapped up a little too well. So a college student decides to leave the country with her boyfriend and what she tells her parents is never explained. The was going to college on a cheerleading scholarship and majoring in biology all on her parents insistence but they're not mentioned in the end. I don't see where a parent that involved in their daughters life, as it's explain throughout the book, would be fine with their daughter dropping out of school and leaving the country with a guy she just met. I know I wouldn't.

This is book number 2 of the Twin Pines Obsessions series and focuses on Yuri and Cara. Cara is on a 3 day retreat with some of the members of her cheer squad for team bonding. She decides she's had enough of dealing with her teammates and decides to go for a walk in the forest. Yuri is in hiding from his past and comes across Cara while hunting for food. As soon as he sees her he is immediately drawn to her. They meet in the woods the next day and from that point on Yuri's obsession goes to a whole other level. He ends up following her back to school and watches over her. The longer he stays and watches her the more he's putting the two of them in danger but he can't stay away. This story was great! I loved Yuri and Cara together! I can't wait to see what comes next.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
This book is book two of the Twin Pines Obsession series it appears each book will read as a standalone however, why just read one when you can start at the beginning and keep reading through the series it won’t be a waste of time. Deliciously dark in a good way Yuri is sexy as all get out obsessed with Cara but knows she is too good for him, and he will do anything in his power to ensure her safety will she accept him, and can they have happiness?

Yuri is out in the mountains hunting for his dinner. He happens to see an angel walking in the woods and he's intrigued. What is this beautiful angel doing in the woods. He feels a pull to her that he's never felt before. He finally meets her and Cara finds that she likes everything about him. He's built like the tallest mountain and as strong as an ox. She is totally enthralled with him. Yuri follows her and find her dorm room but he knows that he has to stop watching her as the Bodrovs Bratva will find her and destroy her. This has action, drama, fear, danger, kidnapping, murder, passion, love and steam. Cara makes her choice and Yuri is who she wants. She knows that he will protect her and keep her safe. On the run from his past Yuri spots Cara on her cheerleaders bonding retreat in the forest near his cabin and becomes instantly obsessed with her. Though he knows he will bring danger to her life he cant keep away.
Cara had never felt anything like the way Yuri makes her feel, drawn into his temptations, wanting him. But now Yuri must do all he can to keep Cara safe from the past that's not so far behind him. This is a well written obsessive stalker, insta loving age gap romance, with steamy hot scenes, action and more!

Another quick, stalking novella by Amber Faye. She has a fantastic way of portraying her characters and truly capturing their obsessions with one another, making this read just as captivating as her previous. I truly feel the characters' emotions and need for each other, and wasn't able to put the book down until I was finished. Gripping, quick read that I would recommend to anyone who likes stalker romance with a Bratva twist. I wish it had been a little longer to delve further into the characters, but isn't that always the case with a good novella?

This was such a delicious, little novella!! It covers everything for it being a shorter read and didn't feel like anything was left out. Having the sweet side of an instalove vibe but also suspense and danger of a dark romance. Yuri is obsessive and possessive of Cara but fights himself with wanting her but also wanting to protect her. Cara may not be the most experienced woman but she knows what she wants when she sees it. I loved their story and give it a big 5 stars!

I loved this fast pace stalker/obsession romance, Cara is not happy with her life, she is good girl that has a dream to be a painter, but to keep her parents happy she is part of her college cheerleads team and is doing biology. Yuri is brutal and dominant man on the run from his former bratva until he stumbles in front of his Angel and he develops an obsession toward her, I loved the way hey fall for each other and loved the book, the plot is good and the storyline is great!

Unfortunately, Yuri can’t get close to her or she could be put in terrible danger. As Yuri begins stalking Cara, he realizes that he can’t completely stay away from her.

Tracked is a short romance that is well rounded and steamy. No cheating, no cliffhanger and HEA

Tracked, by Amber Faye was an amazing dark romance between predator and prey. Cari and Yuri were simply amazing together. Cari is on a cheerleader retreat with her classmates in the woods when Yuri spots her in the woods all alone and he immediately becomes so fascinated with her she becomes his obsession. Yuri knows if he brings her into his world, she will be in danger but he cannot stop watching her. If you enjoy OTT obsessive, stalker romance, you will love their story!

A quick read with a good pace and full of delicious possessive, protective instalove vibes from Yuri, who is hiding away from his past in the mountains. He tries to keep his distance from Cara to keep her safe, whether she likes or wants that or not. What follows is passion, drama and suspense making it a very enjoyable read.

Yury and Cara

Yuri is on the run, hiding deep in the forest where he can't be found. The last thing he expects when he was hunting his food is to fall for an angel walking in his forest. He shouldn't approach or engage with her. That could get her in danger but he can't resist her. And when danger can knocking he will do anything to keep Cara alive. Great plot, packed with action and suspense, likeable characters and red hot romance. Highly recommended

This was my first read from this author. I absolutely loved the first person point of view of the story. This is always a deal breaker for me. This was a quick read and I will be reading more from this author in the future.

I liked this one a little better than the first book, it actually went into detail about his stalking activities... though it was super short, I read it in one sitting and I'm not mad at it.

I haven't read many stalker stories before but this one was decent and I'll probably continue with this series.

Yuri and Cara story was sweet yet a bet stalking but with care not malice. One look was all it took but his obsession could put her in danger because of his past. But temptation is stronger and a relationship is started.

Better than the first one! I actually liked this one better than the first short by this author. It’s got a Russian Bratva hero who is much more compelling and the cheerleader leading lady is fantastically relatable. She wasn’t nearly as forgettable to me as the wilting violet from the first one. I still felt it could have used more heat. It was another just okay read for me.

I love Yuri and Cara's story. A "hot stalker" and the woman who loves being the center of his world. Sweet, steamy and a wonderful HEA. I enjoyed the story and will probably read it again.
