Nina
Live a little, they said. Relax.

From the moment I start this vacation, enjoying my time off seems impossible when everything flops. My luggage goes missing, my purse is stolen, and my reservation is not at all what I expected. Stranded and refusing to stay at a nudist resort full of interesting, retired folks, I have no choice but to leave, and run right into a sexy man who seems so wonderfully normal—and willing to drive me into town.

When he drops me off after helping me find a new hotel, I’m more than surprised when he returns, seeking nothing but my company. Breaking from my need to control every detail of my life—a joke on this bizarre trip—I accept his suggestion to share a room. His only condition: we keep it simple. One week, one bed, but no personal details. A fling. What happens in Cancun, stays in Cancun.

Simon
It’s been years since I’ve met someone who doesn’t recognize me as the celebrity I’ve become. So how can I resist the temptation to share my break from filming with this real and down-to-earth woman who has no clue about my status? She’s different, a welcome breath of fresh air dragging me out of the rut I’ve been in, and I’m not ready to let her slip away.

Her vacation is already off to a lousy start with rain, vermin, and sleazy men. It’s my pleasure to turn her trip around, but as we make the most of a holiday gone wrong, I err in thinking we could ever manage something with no strings attached. When she discovers my omission, learning of the fame I hid from her…it looks like one week in Mexico is all I’ll ever have with her.

Off The Clock (Summer Loving #2) is a cheeky and delightful meet cute book! As soon as I started reading the first chapter when Nina was stranded at a nudist resort that include retired circus performers, I was all in and I couldn’t contain my laughter. Luckily, Simon came to the rescue and who wouldn’t want to be rescued by this sexy movie star. Everything about their story is entertaining and engaging with a great storyline and a wonderful blend of slow burn heat and humor (Simon’s parents took the cake for me lol). And kudos to Amabel Daniels for including diversity in this book. It was also nice to revisit Harrison and Jessie from Season Starter. And the way Ms. Daniels described Zeke’s arms in this book, I need to read his book ASAP therefore I’ve already one clicked One Time (Summer Loving #3).

Off the Clock, Summer Loving Book 2 by Amabel Daniels
I was given this book by the author for an honest review.
NINA!! Stop!! I flipping loved her. She cracked me up so dang much. I totally feel you on lost luggage because that is the worst. It makes the start to having a craptastic vacation. I could totally relate to how she felt. But then I found it even funnier that she didn’t need luggage really given where she was staying for her vacation!!! LOL When Nina runs into Simon it couldn’t have been at a better time.
Simon is stunned that Nina doesn’t know who he is and is actually appreciative of spending time with her. Of course he is hiding secrets but everyone had a closet right??? But the two have a great chemistry and banter. I absolutely loved the story and found I wasn’t able to put it down since I wanted to know what else could go wrong!! LOL

Ahh!! So GOOD!!! Such a slow burn for me but it was so funny and refreshing!!! I am really in love with this authors style and each book I just love more than the previous!!

I think that Nina might be my favorite so far because she just cracked me up the WHOLE TIME!!! From the disaster of a beginning of her vacation to all the humorous things that happened to her throughout the book! She was the best and the attraction to Simon was just the icing on the cake.

Simon had secrets and while I understood them I could feel the small tension start to build up. But with an explosive almost end I couldn’t care less. Simon seemed not at all like the type of person I thought he would be and I worried I wouldn’t like him. His need to be amazing and have this vacation with Nina was just sexy as heck!

I LOVED Simon’s parent!! They were a hoot!! As much as I would of loved to keep reading I think they ended perfectly!! I can’t wait for the next book!!! I love this series!!!

mixed feelings

This was good, I couldn’t get into the first book but was able to read all of this.
It was a solid 5 until POV’s randomly change, and it’s missing words so sentences seem incomplete not to mention originally she was vacationing until Sunday and then all of a sudden it was Friday. The plot changing and other errors for me bring it to a 4.

The end then brings it to a 3, just randomly cuts off and moves to a completely different book giving chapter 1? Nothing to make me think it’s a good hea and move along.

I feel like I’m missing half a book.

Very funny

I am loving this series! These stories are so entertaining, plenty of laughs, funny characters and situations you have to read! Nina is on her first vacation in years before starting her new life back in her hometown. Simon happens upon run into a woman fleeing from naked circus performers, yep you read that right, and that's just the first of the book. Page turning read!

Simon and Nina had me laughing so hard throughout their story. Nina is on a vacation from heck and literally runs into Simon! Simon steps in and takes her away… where even more antics ensue. Between the bad weather, critters, lost luggage, a big secret that Simon is hiding, feelings, let us just say that not all the ups and downs happened between the sheets! What happened in Cancun definitely did not stay in Cancun….it followed them both home!

Crazy beginning!

1st time reading this author. I'll read the other books in this series, too. It started off a little slow with the crazy things that happened to Nina, but once Simon got involved and kept reappearing, it started to get interesting. I can actually see a person like Simon want to just be himself as a man to beautiful Nina. Some adventure and sex, & reconnecting. Enjoy! 📚🎉❤️🌻

Will he or won't he tell her?

Fun read! The suspense of when Simon tells Nina his secret runs through the whole book and keeps you guessing. Nina and Simon have such fun together. This is actually an identifiable book, what with the vacation mishaps and all. A true pleasure to read. Highly recomnended.

Very nice, quick read. 3.5 stars from me. Reads well, bit of smut as always but the storyline lacked for me. It was good enough, and easy to follow. The beginning just felt a bit chaotic. Didn’t fell as though there was much angst either. The potential was there, but it felt very hurried, and swept under the carpet.
