Former FBI-profiler Eva Rae Thomas is back in a heart-pounding novel of suspense. It's so shocking it'll have you sleeping with your lights on. Peter and Mary Marshall went on a vacation with their son and daughter but returned without their children. They went missing from their hotel room one night while the couple was downstairs in the restaurant for dinner. They never saw them again. Ten years later, the Marshalls have put the murder of their children behind them, moved to a different state, and had another child, a son. When he disappears during a vacation trip to Florida, the parents are suddenly in the limelight again. Public opinion seems to be that this can be no coincidence. These things don't happen twice to the same people, do they? Former FBI-profiler, Eva Rae Thomas is doing well in her life, and things are calm until an FBI agent suddenly shows up, asking for her help with the case of the missing child. The kidnapper seems to have a message for Eva Rae since she was the one who supposedly solved the case ten years ago. As she digs into the disappearance of the boy, racing to save the child's life, she realizes this psychopathic killer lurking in the shadows has unfinished business, and he's not stopping till his debt is paid in full. IT'S NOT OVER is the sixth book in the Eva Rae Thomas Mystery Series.

This kindle e-book novel is from my Kindle Unlimited account book six
Eva Rae Thomas is called back to service in the FBI in a kidnapping case. It is the same family the that had twins taken ten years ago. The story involves family relationships action, misdirection, and violence leading to the unexpected conclusion.
I would recommend this series and author to 👍 readers of romantic family and friends relationships adventure mystery novels 👍🔰.
I have listened 🎶 to a number of Willow Rose 🌹 Series and enjoyed each one. Happy reading 📚 and have fun 🌙😀
This book is #6 in a series but I was able to read it as a stand alone since I hadn’t read her other books. This was action packed and suspenseful from the very first page until the last. Kept me up late at night wanting to find out who “did it”. Will definitely look for more books by Willow Rose.
This is the sixth book in the Eva Rae Thomas mystery series by Willow Rose.
There are two distinct time lines going on in this book. One from the past surrounding the death of two missing children. Then the same family has moved on and now son number three has gone missing. Eva Rae gets pulled into this since the disappearance of the two children was one of her first cases at the FBI.
This is an exciting merry go round of a story and I was so surprised who the bad guy ended up being. Rose is an expert at misdirection and plotting. I swear, she must have been a magician in another life. Her plots are like works of art.
Love this series so much! Definitely give it a read. So worth it!
I devoured this book. It is an engrossing, suspenseful read that keeps you guessing until the very end. It's my first book by Willow Rose, but won't be my last. I love her writing style and characters. I will definitely be reading more from the Eva Rae series. I just love when a book surprises you over and over. Don't miss this book, read it, and enjoy! I read the entire book in half a day. So good!
3.5/4 ⭐️ for me. I had a hard time deciding on my rating for it. I don’t think it will stick with me for a long time, which is how I typically describe a 4⭐️ book. Yet, loved it and will definitely read others in the series I didn’t realize it was a series until after I started it. I never felt confused by not reading them in order, but I definitely want to go back and read book 1 so I can see the characters develop over time.
Eva Rae has her hands full with this crime. Ten years ago The Marshal’s vacation in Key West, a family trip full of fun in the sun, but it was anything, but that! Ten years later The Marshal’s finally return to Key West to put the past behind and make new memories. This will be anything but blissful. Can Eva Rae solve this crime before the past repeats itself? Another amazing book by Willow Rose. She continues to keep me on the edge of my seat.
I ripped through the pages of this domestic thriller, even though there were times my doubts of too many coincidences nearly suspended my belief. Willow Rose writes spine-tingling suspense with twists and turns that take you completely by surprise. She never lets up until the last page. You need to know, want to know, can’t wait to know, and never know what’s coming next. Based loosely on the kidnapping and disappearance of Madeleine McCann in 2007. I am sure you remember the horrifying case when a three-year-old girl disappeared from her hotel room in Portugal. The parents were prime suspects. The child was never found, and neither was her body. The kidnapper was never found, and every parent and decent human being in the world found themselves more vigilant ever after for their child’s safety. How could this happen? Willow Rose takes the story to an even greater supposition. Could the same thing happen to the same family again? Does lightning strike twice in the same place? Not often, but what if it did? Another child taken from the same parents, and why? Any more clues to this tantalizing tale of FBI agent and profiler, Eva Rae Thomas’s gut-wrenching search for a missing child, and I’ll steal the excitement of this novel. Suffice it to say, you don’t want to miss this harrowing tale into the mind of a psycho killer.
Oh, Wow! I absolutely adore Eva Rae Thomas, her need to protect, and her need to find justice for victims. Ten years ago she got justice for a couple that lost their children to a predator while on vacation in the Florida Keys. The same couple has had another child, and now that child has disappeared from a different resort in Florida. Well Jeez, I didn't see that one coming. I think this is an exciting mystery with some action, a lot of suspense, and a plot that has so many unexpected twists and turns you just might feel dizzy. Fantastic, dark and twisted, a thrilling read. I loved it!
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
This was a great book. Very fast paced, and while I had a niggling suspicion about the bad guy, I still didn’t really expect it. And the subplot twist was a surprise. I couldn’t put this book down. This was my first book in the series. I may even go back and read the others.
This is definitely another book with lots of action, suspense and mystery. One child missing, now another from the same family. Eva is perfect for the work, will the mystery be solved. Don’t miss out once it’s released.
plot was crazy (and a smidge confusing actually) but the ENDING CHAPTER??? HELLO???? yall better get on communicating because i need to see THAT through for my mental health.
This book really draws the reader in immediately. Starts with a set of parents who lost their twins ten years ago … the killer is on death row. Now their third child is missing under the same circumstances. This book will keep you entertained all the way through.
3.5 stars. This was my first in the Eva Rae series and it seemed to be a stand alone read. I'm sure there were references to previous books that I didn't catch, but I didn't feel like I was completely missing something. There is a great twist I didn't predict at all, although I has suspected that Roy was the kidnapper. I definitely didn't predict Roy was Peter. Up until that was revealed, I saw everything else coming. I knew immediately that Jessica was Maggie. Overall the writing was pretty pedestrian and read like an amateur novelist. Or perhaps young adult novelist.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This one left a lot to be done sired. Way too far fetched. How could a five year old swim away and hide for a time , because she was afraid of her father? It was just okay.
Well-plotted and Clearly Written Thriller “It’s Not Over” by Willow Rose brings red-headed former FBI profiler Eva Rae Thomas (Book #6) back into action. Inexperienced FBI agent Brad Shearer shows up on her doorstep in the middle of the night, seeking her help in solving a kidnapping. “It’s Not Over” is one of the best, clearly written and well-plotted thrillers available. Cole, the vulnerable elementary-school-age son of Peter and Mary Marshall, has disappeared from their Orlando, FL resort hotel rooms. Ten years previously in Key West, FL twins Maggie and Blake vanished from their hotel rooms while parents Peter and Mary dined at a nearby restaurant. The FBI called in on cases involving children of “tender age,” twelve and under, assigned Eva Rae to work on Blake and Maggie’s vanishing. The case finally closed with the arrest and conviction of Mike Odell, previously convicted of child molestation and staying in the same hotel. Searchers found Blake’s drowned body, but the only trace of Maggie was a butterfly hairclip near Blake. Because Eva Rae had worked Blake and Maggie’s case and knew the Marshalls, Brad was able to persuade her to work on Cole’s kidnapping. Eva Rae torments herself by questioning the past. If Odell is in prison awaiting execution, did they arrest the wrong person the first time, or was the arrest correct, and Cole’s disappearance is a copycat occurrence. Unknown to Blake and Eva Rae is that Cole’s abduction and Mary’s agony are just the tips of icebergs that others have set in motion. Willow Rose plots this story carefully to keep readers interested and turning pages. She lets readers into the mind of an unidentified person early in the story. It is not a gentle or loving mind, but it continues to sneak into the plot when readers are least prepared. Also, readers are introduced to Roy and his Dad early in the story. They appear to have nothing to do with the main plot, but threads of their lives keep weaving in and out of “It’s Not Over.” Eva Rae and her sister Sydney share an activity introduced to readers in Chapter one. They own and run House of Freedom, which shelters trafficked girls in the CoCo Beach, FL. Sometimes, they pick girls up off the streets. Readers ride with the sisters as they recover Amber. We meet Jessica in Chapter eight as she prepares to run away from home. Her mission is to hand on to her backpack and find a red-headed policewoman. The strands of the plot start to come together in Chapter 60, and by Chapter 66, Eva Rae can begin putting the strands together. She is invigorated and rebounds to finish up what she considers will be the end of the case. The law enforcement part of the story ends with Eva Rae standing amid flashing blue, lights, EMTs, and local law enforcement. The private part of Eva Rae’s story has to do with her love interest Matt, a detective with the local Coco Beach Police Department. She ties all the threads of the ten-year-old and the present-day case together for Matt. Their relationship ends “It’s Not Over” on a loving but mature note. Despite all the various characters interwoven throughout the story, “It’s Not Over” is a compelling novel. It is not a police procedural. Willow Rose concentrates more on the emotions of the characters tied into the story. It will be difficult for readers to interrupt the adventures of Eva Rae and put their e-readers down to attend to daily life. I requested and received a digital Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and the author through book funnel in exchange for an honest review.
Ten years ago, FBI Profiler, Eva Rae Thomas caught the kidnapper and killer of the young Marshall twins and he is now waiting to be executed in days. Today, retired, Eva Rae with her actress sister Sydney now has a new cause. They rescue and help girls who were placed into servitude by trafickers. That is until a rookie FBI agent comes to Eva Rae's home in the middle of the night to enlist her in a deja vu case! Seems another young child of the Marshalls was kidnapped out of their Florida resort. This begins a string of events that keeps you on the edge of your seats with lots of questions. Could one of the parents be suspects? Could it be a copy cat to the killer on death row? Could someone have a grudge against the family and want revenge against them in the worse possible way, kidnap and kill their children? And what is happening with her relationship with her boyfriend, Matt? This is one of the best thrillers I have read in a long while that could keep me turning pages well into the night! Although this is the 6th book in the Eva Rae Thomas series, it could be read as a stand-alone, although this series is well worth getting into. I received and ARC from the author but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.
Eva Rae and Sydney have opened a shelter for homeless, orphaned and trafficked girls. They spend hour’s tracking down the scum that have these girls. Eva worked a case ten years before involving twins who disappeared from a hotel room while their parents were eating dinner downstairs. A perp went to prison for the crime and his excursion is coming up soon when history repeats itself. The family have come back to Florida ten years later with their little boy and he disappears the same way. A little girl may be the key to solving the mystery if she can get to the red headed lady. The book has many twists and turns and the killer will surprise you. It keeps you hanging all the way to the end. Willow Rose takes real cases and makes them her own. I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for the above honest review. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YSSHBRN?...
I love the main character. She's law enforcement through and through, but her first instinct is to protect lives. Eva Rae Thomas and her sister have opened a facility to serve young girls who have been pressed into the illicit sex trade. This is only a small part of this story but it stems from previous Eva Rae books where it was a central focus. You do not need to have read any of the previous books in this series to enjoy and fully understand this one.
Eva Rae has been called in on a case that has strong ties to another case she worked on 10 years ago. In that case, two children were kidnapped and killed. The killer is about to be executed. Now another boy has been kidnapped - and the parents are the same people as the parents from the 10 year old case.
There is plenty of suspense, twists and turns, and surprises. I really enjoy Willow Rose's books. This one will not disappoint.
I thought I’d never lose as much sleep as on those late nights I waited for my teenage son to come home. Years later, I found Willow Rose and — goodbye, sleep — started reading her books into the late night/early morning. This one is especially compelling, as Eva Rae Thomas doggedly tries to find two small children who disappear during a family vacation. She finds plenty of clues and suspects, but their murders went unsolved. The plot ratchets to an even higher level when Eva Rae is called to find a third child snatched 10 years later — missing from the same hotel and the same parents! The pulse-pounding story flips back and forth from 10 years ago to now, gathering a lineup of perverted perps. The media points a finger at the mother, while she begins to unravel as she imagines the horrible treatment her 3 children received. These are the things that spark terror in any mother’s heart ... congratulations, Willow Rose — you’ve kept me awake more hours than my teenage son!
Willow Rose knows how to pack a mystery, then have it unpack and leave you finding things where you least expect them. I kept thinking, “I know who it is! I know who it is!” Yeah...no. (laugh) This is what you want from a mystery and It’s Not Over gives you that with a neck twist.
Rose writes in the Author’s Notes that she got her inspiration for this story from a true-life story and then put her horrifying spin on it (that’s my words at the end...lol). I would imagine that if the synopsis happened to anyone it would be horrifying and then Rose ups the ante. Gruesome and awesome.
We get the point of view of the killer and Thomas in the race against the clock against what can’t be stopped. Thomas has to solve two crimes or does she? I’m not telling, you have to read It’s Not Over where no one is safe - not even the law.
I received an ARC of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.
SPOILER On one hand I generally like the storyline - they are interesting and fast paced But I find so many holes in each of the books it is difficult - Eva Rae seems to be the lead except got the newbie FBI agent - really? That the husband was Roy was intriguing - but with the stolen identify and minimal formal schooling as he was locked up he was able to get the grades and the finances to become a dentist. A single male registered in a family resort hotel did not draw extra scrutiny? In addition, how does he disappear long enough after each kidnapping to hide the children but still be there for his wife - especially with the twins. As Eva Rae follows in her minivan - seriously nothing stands out if you are looking to see if you are being followed more than a civilian mini van, with no back up car so they lose her Also surprised he could leave the parking garage and barrel through the barricades without being stopped - they are literally trained to shoot out tires etc
Adrenaline is still high after finishing this one! I love Eva Rae Thomas- ex FBI profiler! And this one did not disappoint.
Eva Rae gets called in to help with a case she was involved with 10 years ago. 2 kids had been kidnapped from their hotel beds and were found drowned not far from the resort. Eva Rae caught the guy and put him away. The parents of the 2 kids and since had another child and now he has been kidnapped as well.
She knows it must be about revenge of some sort towards the parents. And knows that she locked up the wrong guy before. So she's extra careful this time to make sure she gets the right guy. She races the clock to catch the guy before he kills another little boy. Will she get to him in time?
The story from the kidnappers POV is gutwrenching. Absolutely ripped my heart out! And that ending 😳 WHAT?!
Finally finished It's Not Over. I dragged this one out a bit and I'm not totally sure why. The mystery was good although you had to question a few things in it although I've found that's become part and parcel with Eva Rae stories.
I'm not finding them as 'punchy' now though, almost lacking. I actually put this one aside and read a couple of other books in between to see if maybe I had OD on this series and needed a break. Maybe it was the story it's self that wasn't enough for me but maybe? Many aspects were easy to work out and that was disappointing too.
So I wouldn't give It's not over more than a 3 star. It was an ok read, but not as good as the other books. I will read the other books in the Eva Rae series but I am leaving them alone for a time so hopefully I'll enjoy them more.
This is the 6th book in the Eva Rae Thomas series. It was a great read. The ending was shocking! I cannot wait to see what happens next in the series.
Eva Rae Thomas is a former FBI profiler. When she’s called in to assist with a missing child, she learns that she has met the couple on a previous case.
Peter and Mary Marshall vacationed in the Orlando area with their twins who vanished from their resort. After a devastating discovery, their abductor was captured and imprisoned. Ten years have gone by and the Marshalls have tried to move on. They come back to Orlando with their your son who vanishes at their resort. Is history repeating itself?
Did the FBI convict the wrong person last time or is their a copycat, or just a horrible turn of fate? Will Eva Rae find the truth and rescue the child before it’s too late?
Who leaves their small children alone in their hotel room to sleep while they’re at dinner? I would never even think of it. In “It’s not over”, the Marshalls do and their kids are abducted and murdered. Ten years later, it happens again. The emotional ride of suffering with the parents. There are two side stories of a runaway and a small boy who loses his mother to cancer that tug at your heartstrings, as they suffer through abuse and loss.
In the end, it all ties together and is quite the journey. You will find yourself at the edge of your seat more than once. You might even find yourself, like the lead, FBI Profiler Eva Rae Thomas biting your nails to the quick trying to solve the mystery.
Willow Rose reveals the clues, as usual, when she’s ready for you to draw conclusions and dangle a little treat for the next adventure.
