I love a pregnancy trope, but this one was not good at all. I can’t think of one part of this book that I actually liked. Becca and Grant’s “chemistry” gave me such bad second hand embarrassment, there were so many times that I didn’t even want to finish the book. This is a short book and normally I really like those because I’m busy and don’t have a lot of time, but this book jumped way too fast. The “attraction” between the two MC happens way too fast, they also fall into bed way too fast. That is especially annoying to me because we have to hear Becca complain about how she could loose her job for multiple pages only for her to sleep with him after one opportunity. Grant keeps mentioning their “creative” sides and how they’re so similar blah blah blah. The man only stands in front of a camera and looks hot, that’s as far as his creativity spreads. On top of all of this the author’s sentence structure is horrible. I had to read some of her sentences multiple times just to understand what she was saying. I’ve read more descriptive writing from a toddler. I had to hold myself back from rolling my eyes throughout the whole book. The plot was bad and uninteresting as were the characters. Would not recommend this book ever.

She ran away and kept his child from him for 10 years because someone lied and said he was marrying someone else ONCE. The miscommunication trope is overused and lazy. Very disappointed.

I really wanted to like this book, but the grammatical errors and incorrect word usage was so prevalent I couldn’t focus on the story. So many errors, DNF. I don’t say that lightly. I finished nearly 700 books last year and I’m already 90+ deep this year. So, I’m okay with overlooking some errors, but when there are this many it completely distracts from the book.
Im never taking recommendations from tiktok ever again.
I don't want to rip into this book so I'm just going to put my feelings into a simple analogy below...
This book is the film equalivalent of a really cheesy lifetime movie. However instead of the D-List celebrities, cheap cinematography, poor editing, and overused concept/storyline we got: MC's that were so boring it made me cry, lacklustre chemistry, juvenile dialogue and a piss poor plot.
This book had so much potential but I skipped like 50 pages. It got so boring. The author can write but it’s the fact the characters have no actual personality and if you are going to write a book with second chance/baby trope he needs to be way longer then this. We need an in-depth of characters we need more of a background story. I’m mad at tiktok for wasting my time. They also has no chemistry I cringed.
I feel like if you are going to use the miscommunication trope don’t make it like the others I think is readers are used to the same thing she runs away because he’s with someone else. You got to make it unique for someone to be interested. This book was poorly written.
It's so bad, why did I read this? Poorly written, we do not understand anything about advances in time, hopeless and uncommunicational main characters.
TikTok is where I find a lot of new authors to support. For some reason I ended up adding this book to my TBR and I picked it up one day to read.
Let me start off by saying there is a lot of potential in this novel but as it is it feels like a rough draft. I really don't like leaving negative reviews but this book should be pulled, rewritten and then republished under a different title.
The time jump felt like it was too much time for a relationship that never was. I would have expected a little more time for characters to "fall in love" vs the short time they had together. Seems a bit obsessive. That is very well a personal preference. I questioned if the author had a child, or knew children the age of her MC's daughter, because for the age of the child in the story the actions did not seem to match up to me. Not to mention she had zero concerns about "stranger danger" and was also obsessed with a man she met for mere minutes. There were a lot of grammatical errors that made reading difficult to get through. DNF is not an issue with me and it took me a solid week to get through this book. I should have been able to easily read it in an hour. I noticed that a lot of facts and details didn't match up throughout the storyline and it was driving me crazy.
I truly believe that there is potential in the plot and characters but they need more development to get there.

eh, it was okay. nothing much to talk about, just that the characters spent too many years apart. there wasn’t any connection other than the intense attraction right from the start.
This was a cute meet cute/ insta love spicy book! I only gave it 4 stars because I wish it was a little longer and I didn’t like the time jump! 😂 Breanne always kills it with the spice though!

HORRIBLE the characters were so boring the mmc was just attractive and that's all we know like go girl give us nothing. The miscommunication just ughhhh if I could I would go back in time and stop myself from reading this it was that bad
If I wanted to read a damn wattpad book, I would’ve. DNFed at 15% and I’m never coming back to it. Though I’m only giving it a 1 star rating because it gave my friend some good commentary
The writing on this book was horrible. The same words and statements used on repeat, it was as if a middle schooler sat down and wrote this book without any thought to how the plot was to play out. While the storyline idea could have had merit, the writing and the lack of formative thoughts made it very lackluster. I would have given is 0 stars if that was an option.
This whole book seemed overly ridiculous and unlikely.
Becca gets hired to be the exclusive photographer for Gabe, a famous model, and is told to stay away from him. But Gabe's interested in Becca and can do what he wants. And while it all seems like fun, Becca is let go just as she finds out she's pregnant and that Gabe is seeing someone else.
Or so she is led to believe. So she leaves the city and moves to a small town to be an assistant to a photographer who does mostly studio prints. And when she thinks she's just doing a charity dog shoot, she runs into him again and knows she had to hide her son to keep him.
Becca and Gabe get their happy ending in this standalone book in a series.
Everything was so over the top here and quite unbelievable. It also seemed like Becca was just out of school, so why would Gabe's people hire someone so fresh? Also, do models just get sent stuff and told to take pictures wearing stuff? I figured the agencies that hired the models would be the ones to arrange all that and have their own photographers.
At first i thought Becca was a confident woman but the more i read, all that stuttering(like once or thrice is ok but every time??really? cuz it didn't really seem like her) and her behavior made it seem like she wasn't the character i was expecting when i read the first chapter. And her backstory with her dad n all, i personally felt like was a lot of wasted potential cuz it was pretty clear that her insecurities mainly come from that. And we barely even got to know about Grant's personality, honestly he sometimes felt like just a side character. And their relationship like TF was that even?? No communication at all like NONE, like they never talked about it and im not even sure they were dating they just seemed like fuck-buddies most of the time. And atleast when he found out that it was his kid i hoped they'd have a serious conversation about the past and present but they just ended it in 3 sentences. I don't usually give such long reviews but i am rn cuz i just feel like this story had potential but it seemed kinda wasted.
This book was either written by a white man or a 13yr girl. I wanted to puke at “my womanly parts came alive” “his masculinity took my breath away”. It read like a terrible Wattpad book. I was hoping the smut would be too notch to balance it out but no. It was also aweful. Book tok hyped the book up so much. I was very dissatisfied.
I think it would have been improved with either better smut or dual povs. Also better writing wouldn’t hurt but…..
And don’t get me started on the characters Becca hiding Gabriella to save grant career. I honestly don’t think grant dating his photographer and having a daughter would have don’t any damage to his career. Merlin was a forced antagonist that basically came out of no where.
Everything about it seem forced. But I glad cause I don’t think I could have mentally handled this book being longer. I will not be reading the rest of the series.

I wanted to DNF this so bad but I stuck it through. - forced chemistry. This book is the absolute definition - i felt this book was literally just the highlights of their relationship. And I mean highlights - I found this book on Tik Tok and it was promoted that she finds out he’s marrying someone else and then leaves. But it’s the opposite. She left, found out she’s pregnant and then finds out he’s getting married. - far as hell time jump. (10 years) - how many times can this kid say “momma” - she’s 10 and asking to be put to bed by a guy she just met. …….what?
Overall. I feel that this book was written by a 6th grader.
Opinion: Honestly I think this is the worst book I‘ve ever read. I saw a TikTok and I immediately wanted to read this book. Although it has all my least favorite tropes, I still hoped it would be good. So here’s the thing. 1. I don’t know Becca‘s age but she was acting so immature. And after those ten years too. The constant giggling and stuff. I just can’t. 2. Grant was also weird. I don’t know why but he seems a bit off. 3. Their relationship was also weird and really unrealistic. The insta love and their instant connection which Becca pointed out in every sentence? I think because of the constant mentioning it felt unreal. 4. She was this person who was like “I don’t do relationships because of my past experiences. My father left my mother after finding about her being pregnant with me and therefore I swore off men and only do one-nightstands.“ And then after meeting Grant she was instantly in love and wanted to marry him, have his kids and build a life with him? How can someone change their opinion on such a serious topic in a short period of time? 5. And the club scene? Wtf don’t get me started haha 6. I also hated Merlin and Bianca (I don’t know if that’s her name and I just finished this book (just mentioning)). They both seemed off. And Merlin grabbing her shoulders violently should have been the first warning. 7. And Becca moving out of town after Merlin telling her that Grant was to marry the supermodel? How can someone just leave like that without putting off a fight? That man is her BABY DADDY??? 8. Gabriella is such a sweet child but Becca constantly mentioning her child’s innocence was weird. It was like reading a mafia story where dangerous people and killers want to protect their children from their dangerous lifes because of their childrens innocence. I mean of course are children innocent but you don’t have to mention it in every sentence girl. 9. I was really hoping their “reunion“ would be “epic“ (not really epic but something extraordinary). But naa. She fainted AGAIN and fell into his arms AGAIN? What? 10. The reasons why she was keeping her daughter a secret were all stupid. I mean come onnn 11. And in the end Grant is throwing this big ass runway to reveal Becca and their daughter to the world. They haven’t had a proper talk after Grant found out about his daughter from Merlin. And how can he throw a runway and reveal this big subject to the world? Their daughter doesn’t know about her father and what would have happened if she was watching the broadcast on TV? I am really confused 12. He is resigning from his company to spend the rest of his day with his family. I mean I get it. You are a fucking billionaire but why resigning from the company? One can still work and spend time with their family? I don’t get it. 13. And why did it feel like every chapter was short except the ones with spice? And why was a spicy scene spread over many chapters? I swear I skipped so pany pages and chapters and it felt like I only read half of the book lol 14. Him saying to his daughter “Remember you said that you wished I was your daddy? Guess what? You wish came true. I am your daddy!“ WTF. If I had a child and didn’t know about them, I would never reveal my “true identity“ this way. 15. And the ending was super weird. They are together although they didn’t see each other in ten years and didn’t have a proper talk. What happened in those years? What was Grant doing in those years? What happened to the supermodel? And why was Grant acting strange if he didn’t marry that girl? Why didn’t he search for Becca? I mean he is a billionaire and he must have his connections right? What happened to Merlin? He wanted to destroy Becca‘s life and disappears after receiving a punch from Grant? And what about Grant’s past and his family? I have to many unanswered questions. I don’t have anything else to say other that WTF. I think the author was reading too many bad Wattpad stories and mixed them all together to create this whatever this is.
If I am offending someone, I am truely sorry.
Tropes: - insta love - accidental pregnancy - second-chance romance - forced proximity - boss x employee - billionaires
