Harrison Cooper is the best player in the league. After being separated from his childhood friend, Logan, after an on-ice fight several years ago, they're finally reunited and ready to set fire to the ice.
This wasn't my favourite of the series but it wasn't bad.
Cooper is a playboy when the book starts. He even finds a woman's thong in his pocket and he just throws it in the closet (i was waiting all book for the h to find it). When he meets Alanna she blows him off them beats him at roller derby and suddenly hes hooked. His last girlfriend used him for fame and split up him and his best friend so he is a bit closed off at first but he does most of the pursuing. I liked Cooper, he got inside his own head sometimes and i feel the fallout at the end could have been avoided with some communication
Alanna was better than i expected. I really didn't like her in the previous book but she was OK. I liked that she didn't sleep with guys until they had something solid but then she went and jumped straight into bed with Cooper (although after they slept together he said 'I guess i'm your boyfriend now' which i though was sweet). I don't get the whole influencer thing but i'm nearly 40
I don't understand why she agreed to meet her ex. She expected Cooper to put any past relationships behind him but she wanted closure from hers. I don't think the needed to be separated as long as they were and the way the both show up at a wedding and all is suddenly forgiven and they are together again. Both of them should have apologised but they just kiss and make up. Kind of a lack luster ending but overall i enjoyed it.
This series is crazy good but I found my favorite couple in this book, Coop & Alanna! He is new to the city after being traded, united with his old childhood friend who he had a public break up with, and a huge playboy. Different women every night, no strings, no commitments other than hockey. At an event he meets Alanna and Coop is very intrigued. Alanna notices Coop but he is not he type and she has a hard time even giving him a moment of her time. He has a reputation that proceeds him and she wants nothing to do with that kind of a guy. From there it’s a maze of many ups but some incredible downs. All the while rooting for them.
This is a fun, sweet romantic full length read. While it's part of the Bad Boys of Hockey, it can be read as a standalone. There not much to say because I don't want to ruin the book with spoilers; but I couldn't put the book down and Definitely Recommend Cooper by Violette Paradis. Even though I did receive an advanced review copy of this book, I also purchased the book/read with Kindle Unlimited and am voluntarily leaving my own unsolicited opinion with my voluntary review.
I'm giving this book give stars but there were times towards the end drama that I was unsure. Just kidding....it is definitely a 5 star story. I was just getting cranky with these two but I do love their story. The author does an amazing job getting the emotions involved.
A whole lot of words that formed sentences to make paragraphs and chapters. Alannah is boring. Cooper is bland. The drama is meh. Waste of my time reading this Book 4. Such a let down from 1, 2, and 3. Not interested in 5, 6, or 7 now.
