They brought death to my doorstep. Now, I’ll bring it to theirs.
I’m in over my head. There is no denying it anymore. The Skew war is real, and I’m smack in the middle of it. Moreover, after what they did to my friend, there is no getting out of it. Anyone who messes with the people I love messes with me, and they’ll pay for it.
My new powers are taking shape, and I’m willing to learn everything Eric Cross has to teach me to defeat our enemies.
But when hybrids ambush us, we learn Bernadetta Fiore and Stephen Erickson went further than we’d anticipated. We thought we’d prevented them from creating the vile monsters, but we were wrong, and their existence changes everything.
As if all of this weren’t enough, Jake and I are still trying to figure out a way to break up his engagement, my agency is hanging by a very thread, and a Midnight Witch has joined our foes.
My life is chaos.
Jake and I can’t be together.
Revenge might be all I have left once this is all said and done.

No. Absolutely not! I thought this ride was coming to a close. Nope. Nothing is solved in book 4. We get absolutely nowhere since book 3. WHAT IS THE POINT!? I don't need filler. No fluff either. Grr! Here's what you do get. Spoilers for those of you who want to skip 4 and read 5...when it comes out in August.
Jakes dad is murdered. The wolf council was lame. Toni meets her dad but he has no idea who she is. The dagger is hidden by either Walter or the black ridge alpha. Jake is supposedly still in a bond with black ridge's daughter. Even though gramps is dead and he knows he's toni's mate. (Roll my eyes so hard surprised you didn't feel it.) Damien isn't dead. Jake still has blue balls. Bernadetta is poisoned by the drug. Stephen dies. The midnight witch is on the run and Rosalina can't be found. I've never given away so many spoilers. I hate being dragged along in a book series and that is exactly how this feels. Take the summary of events and read book 5 August 26th. Save your reading time for books that continue a plot to make it more meaningful rather than continuing a watered down plot for financial gain.
“They brought death to my doorstep. Now I’ll bring it to theirs.”
Following Damian’s murder at the hands of the Midnight Witch, Toni and Rosalina have been staying with Eric at his insistence. Plagued by nightmares of Damian dying in her arms, Toni is determined that they carry out his last request and track down his estranged daughter to offer her the rhabo cure. When they are later ambushed by a hybrid, Toni realises that Bernadette Fiore and Stephen Erickson’s machinations have gone further than they had anticipated and it changes everything.
To prevent the dagger from falling into the wrong hands again; Toni, Eric, Jake and Ulfen Erickson attend a meeting with the Pack Rule at Wolfskeep, to warn them of the Dark Donna’s scheme to take control of the city along with Stephen. The meeting is a significant one for Toni for two reasons - it’s her first one as an alpha and secondly it results in her crossing paths with her biological father, who has no idea who she is. The knowledge that the Unholy Vessel has been used to create hybrids causes great concern amongst the Pack Rule. After much arguing, the Pack Rule nominate Craig Blackridge and Walter Knight to be entrusted with the dagger resulting in unforeseen ramifications for Jake later.
Free from the responsibility of the dagger, Toni decides to entrust the last of the rhabo cure to a friend in Elf-hame for safekeeping until they can figure out what to do with it. After inadvertently running into Prince Kalyll of the Seelie Fae instead, Toni entrusts the elixir to him in return for a favour.
Now if they could only find a way to break Jake’s pesky blood covenant and his engagement to Alison.. When a new client enlists Toni’s help in tracking down her mate, Toni hopes that it will be the lifeline they need to get their Tracking Agency back on track. When the enemy chooses that moment to strike, however, Toni is completely unprepared…
The Tracker’s Revenge is the fourth (and my favourite!) penultimate book of the compelling Sunderverse series. Well plotted and skillfully written, this tense and emotional instalment has all the trappings to reel readers in and have them anxiously turning the pages. The plot picks up a day after the events of the previous book which saw the death of a beloved character. The profound loss felt by Toni, Rosalina and Eric echoed my own feelings as they had been a favourite character of mine.
The character building has been truly outstanding. Each personality complementing the other like a fine wine does a meal. The developing ‘father/daughter bond’ between Toni and Eric was a particular highlight for me. This is later verified when Eric admits that Toni reminds him of his daughter. Another highlight for me was when Toni vehemently came to Eric’s defence at the Pack Rule meeting when his right to be there was questioned.
“He does have a pack. He has me!” She exclaims.
Another highlight for me was the welcome addition of a certain four legged feline. While I had my suspicions that there was something more to him, this in no way prepared me for the final reveal which had me squealing in delight.
All in all this was a well executed, excellent paced and intriguing instalment with a breathtaking climax and a cliffhanger that will leave the reader longing for the next instalment. If there is one series this year that I would recommend then this is it.
The more of this series I read, the better it gets. After the shocking death of Damian, Toni and Rosalina unite forces with Eric to fulfil his last wish and deliver the cure to his daughter. But the ongoing war poses danger at each step, preventing Toni from succeeding when it matters, not even mentioning her unstable place among the packs now. Pressed against the wall, Toni will have to make unexpected alliances if she wants to prevent a disaster and even survive. The book was full of action, never once stopping to take a breath before diving into another mess. Toni is slowly changing in front of the reader's eyes, adapting to the changes happening to her but remaining a steadfast and loyal friend. Relationship between Toni and Jake has always been turbulent, but now that both are determined to steer it in the right direction at almost any cost, there is finally hope to see them really together. I am impatiently waiting for the last book.
This is the fourth in the Mate Tracker series and it's best to read them in order. This book (like all the books in this series) builds directly on what came before. If you're looking for a solid witch/shifter series that does magic in a brand new way, with an awesome heroine and amazing supporting characters, you gotta read this series.
By book 4, our heroine is reeling from the death of someone close to her, and trying to save her business, dealing with escalating tensions between different werewolf factions and different vampire factions, along with trying to figure out how to be with her mate. (There's a bit of a forbidden romance thing going on.)
Two dislikes: My annoyance at the fated mate has been since about book two, but it continued here. He just doesn't seem good enough for our heroine. But I guess you can read it and decide. This book also didn't have as strong a through-line as the others. Maybe because there's so much going on, it seemed a bit disjointed.
Overall, this book delivered on the promise of the last three. With so many pieces in play, it was a fun, fast read.
Just when you think you’ve read the best in the series, boom! The next book comes along and it’s even better! It’s one hell of a rollercoaster to ride but you will not regret getting on. There’s action, adventure, there’s heartbreak and revenge and so many twists I couldn’t think straight. A fantastic fast paced read full of suspense and drama and chaos and I absolutely loved it!
I've been with Mate Tracker since the start of the series and every book just keeps getting better and better. Tracker's Revenge is the fourth book in the series and it was mind-blowingly good with so many twists and turns I can't believe my head stayed on straight. Loved it!
Seriously I don't know how Ms. Seymour does it. Writing a story so complete that it includes details that started at the beginning of the series, the twists and turns that I didn't see coming but makes perfect sense when they are revealed. Not to mention to make everything so interesting, the magic, the politics, the drama. Not to mention I'm so invested in the characters, Rosa is my best friend, my heartaches from Eric's loss, and the sadness from Jake and Toni's relationship issues it just all makes for a story so creative, I just want to live in it.
Toni's powers are growing but she still has a lot to learn and it's clear that she was raised differently from most werewolves she doesn't have the same prejudices or hangups that the others do. Toni is a very open person, she is willing to accept good people and she always tries to do right by people, she actually does have the qualities of a good leader, and meeting another alpha female is something that Toni needed. Toni is growing more into her werewolf-self and it's starting to show however her mate tracking business is taking a hit but her best friend Rosalina is right there by her side supporting her decisions and becoming more enveloped into the supernatural world as well but she is handling herself and becoming quite the badass.
Damien's death has hit all of them hard but it seems to draw Eric closer to Toni. He needs someone in his life, he's too alone and Toni feels protective of the grouchy alpha. I'm hoping that their relationship grows even more. Speaking of relationships Jake and Toni hurt my heart. They're mates and are in love but due to other's meddling, their lies, their ambitions, and manipulations they aren't together, they are stuck in an impossible salutation that there is little hope in getting out of. They had a few tender moments in this book, their love shined through I just hope that they manage to get out of this vow, that is if they can make it out of this supernatural war intact.
The war between the vampires and werewolves has gotten even worse, with the vampire drug rhabo out there killing the vampires, causing them to lose their minds things are getting dicey. Not to mention that Stephen Erickson is still on the loose, the midnight witch is behind Damien's death, and we all know the Dark Donna Bernadetta is grappling for power, it's a lot. Toni is smack dab in the middle of this chaos and with all the twists and turns plus a very shocking revelation Toni is gonna have to level up if she wants to save her city and those that she loves.
Tracker's Revenge was everything. I'm so invested in this series and it just keeps surprising me, I'm amazed at how Ms. Seymour can turn out a story that has so much emotion, is action-packed, and has so much drama but is wrapped in a neat and entertaining package, plus the emotional bomb that was dropped at the end was overwhelming. I know Toni and Jake have at least one more book and as usual, I'm dying for a taste, up next is Tracker's Dawn.
Wow. That was........... a lot. Like a lot. I feel like I need a couple of years to process that. I’m honestly not sure how I’m feeling right now. Cause like.......... what? That last 15% or so of this book was just absolute chaos. Al hell broke loose. I’m struggling to find words. I’m gonna try, but this might now be the most eloquent review ever.
So first off, in terms on writing quality, standard was absolutely met. I’ve read enough of Ingrid Seymour’s books to know that she delivers quality writing every. Single. Time. This one was no exception. And for most of this book, everything made sense. We had some suspense, it didn’t feel filler-y, the plot was progressing. All wonderful. Amazing. Love it. I was with it the whole time. I was into it. I didn’t want to put it down. My need for more that the last book struck into me was satisfied. It was all flowing so smoothly. I could read it effortlessly. It was great.
But that ending.......... Still no words. And I thought the previous book threw me for a loop. But I’ve gotta say, never in my wildest dreams did I imagine this book would end to way it did. Those last couple of chapters were such a bizarre, action-packed, plot developing, mind boggling few. I get what happened, but I’m a still so confused. I’m too stunned to even fully react to the cliffhanger (cause yeah I noticed it and I’m dying inside but not completely yet. That’ll hit later). I mean some of it I partially guessed a little....... kind of.......... but that truth. I just can’t think of anything else to write. I don’t know if this has been a helpful review. I will say that I enjoyed it. I really did. And I guess it’s a good thing that I’m struggling to form complete sentences. So congratulations, I guess, Ingrid? It’s certainly not a let down. If you’ve loved the series so far you’ll love this next instalment. But just be warned. You’re about to have the floor completely ripped out from under you. I’m still falling, and I guess I’ll land when I get my hands on the fifth one.
This is the fourth in the Mate Tracker series and it's best to read them in order. This book (like all the books in this series) builds directly on what came before. Overall, this book delivered on the promise of the last three. With so many pieces in play, it was a fun, fast read.
Well this was heartbreaking at the beginning and ended heartbreaking, but in a completely new way I could not have predicted. Talk about an emotional roller coaster! The author put Toni and I on a very action packed yet angsty ride with this installment and I am not sure I can recover. Ok, wait, the next book might be the recovery I need, but until I can get my grabby hands on it I will have to wallow.
Keep in mind that this is the fourth book in a fast-paced urban fantasy series and you can't start here since the plot is a continuation from the first book. Make sure to grab the first book and you will fly through the series in no time.
Overall this was a really fast engaging read that kept me on my toes, I never knew what was going to be thrown at Toni next and the action was great. I love the group dynamic between Toni and the side characters/her made pack, I think they are hands down my favorite part of reading this series.
OMG! This was one wild ride of a book! I couldn't put it down and the action and twists and turns wouldn't stop coming. And the cliffhanger in the ending is just absolutely delish! I want more. I'm rooting for the squad now more than ever, Toni, Jake, Eric and 'Blaze' 😉. And Toni has certainly grown more both as a person and in her powers. I still feel there's more up her sleeve and I can't wait to find out what it is. Also I'm wondering about her absentee brother, he was mentioned a few times so I expect he's going to show up soon. I can't wait to see where Ingrid takes us next in her series, it's so exhilarating and nailbitingly epic at the same time. Amazing read!
A lot happens and if I was Toni, I would have been so stressed out! She has too much on her plate. Good news they find a possible way to brake the blood pact for Jake. Bad news it sounds painful and dangerous. Rosalinda is at her best again. I love her sharp shooting. She is so cool. Her outfits made of leather sound so awesome! They finally get a bad guy. Toni gets kidnapped & violated in the worst way possible for her & her abilities. They find out who killed Damien and another pack alpha. All while Jake and Toni keep getting closer & acting like true mates. The ending however, will leave you with so many questions you will be frustrated.
I actually read a review of this book before I read and the review went on and on about how no answers came from this book 🤔 we must've read a different book because quite a lot happened in this book hahaha
Spoilers ahead
Toni came face to face with her dad, Damien isn't really dead, Stephen finally gets what he deserves, the midnight witch is revealed, they've finally figured out how to break the blood vow though it won't be easy and Jake's betrothed also has someone she loves and is desperate to break the vow too.
Can't wait to see how it all unfolds and wraps up in the last book.
Some Surprises (Read using Kindle Unlimited) The Tracker's Revenge: Sunderverse (Mate Tracker Book #4)
I found this instalment a bit repetitive, it wasn't a shake & bake of the first three books but there wasn't a great deal of brand new information.😕 The Wolfskeep & Pack Rule was an intriguing place with great rules, as was it's host Alpha.🐺 I didn't feel Toni actually grew in this book. Meeting her previously unknown blood relatives did her no favours.😔 There are a couple of revelations & a big surprise.👍
I had no idea that this story would need a new book. It was fast moving yet again with the big mystery still at work. There are twists and turns I'd never have guessed. I really enjoy this story because it's much more than the romance. The secondary characters are strong and interesting and Toni is learning what it means to be a werewolf.
The ending brings the big mystery to the end but there is definitely still a cliffhanger. You'll want to read the next one, just like me.
There are so many things in this series story arc that is giving me anxiety. As much as I love the series I need it to end. This was another amazing instalment that had me gripped form start to finish. We got answers to some questions and got more twists and turns thrown our way. I’m still stressing over Jake and Toni even though they have a possible out but they aren’t moving quick enough for me. Like realistically I’m sure all will be well in the end but still, it’s stressing me out. On to the next book.
This book was my least favorite of the entire series so far. At some point I didn't even care that Jake and Toni had some quiet time in the cabin. What the hell? I am supposed to be wildly excited about that. But for some reason I was rolling my eyes at it.. I think the story is stretching too long and I've been waiting for the union of those two for so long now. It's just not happening so far. I did enjoy their steamy restraint exchanges but not so much their banter lately.
Also this book had so many opens ends. The next book better answer all of them 😅
I almost cried after the ending to the last book so found this book started out sad as I had hoped as Toni must deal with her promise and grief. Then the story really takes off and thus begins the fun and twists and insanity I expect from this series. All my favorite characters are back and involved with the situation the city is involved in along with some new ones. I read it in one sitting as I could not put it down. Had to see what was going to happen next. Just a great book and series.
Stunning... ... In more than one way! Like told ms Seymour, this story is evil in the bestest way. It will make you feel all the feels, and it's not over you got more to come. Its a great mix of twisty turns, action and perfectly weaved in with the characters personal growth. Opening themselves or finding their powers. Someone dies and it's devastating however that is a massive part of the story and you have to find out yourself when you read it. It's amazing 🤩 I loved it!!?
So I like the overall plot for this book in the tracker abilities. But I have to forget about FMC’s age for it to work…cuz be realistic there is not many 19 or 20 year olds who have their shit together enough to run a business and get all mixed up in the politics of the skew feuds along with her badass self playing a big part in with the species/pack leaders. She is a nobody from the burbs in her own words. But I will read next as they are on KU, but I would not actually pay for these books.
So many cliffhangers! Dang! But a really good installment in the series. However, the cat should've been the brother... That's all I'm saying... I feel like these books are such easy reads but the open plot lines have been the same since book one. The final book better be mind blowing because I've been WAITING SOOO LONG for even the tiniest plot to be resolved.
This is the best of the series so far, considering that I love all of them, it means this is a spectacular read. Fast paced with so many twists and turns, it's like being on an emotional roller coaster. Toni remains wonderful the whole way through. A huge cliffhanger at the end, fingers crossed things turn out good for all concerned!
The Tracker’s Revenge picks right up with Damien’s sad demise. In this installment of the series, Toni continues to face numerous battles—what to do with the rhabo elixir, what to do about Stephen and the hybrids, how to break Jake’s pact to get married so they can finally be together, and more. Toni also learns a bit more about her wolf side, but will it be enough to battle the new nemesis?
What a book! The intrigue is wonderful and elicits responses. The suspenseful cunning of the author to put fourth such good reading is worldly. Who is making monsters and why? Someone was making a poison for vampires, who was doing this and why? Toni's friend Rosalina was missing, where is she and why do they want her? Love this series!
This story is getting crazier by the chapter. I love our girl and Jake together, even when I hate Jake for being such a dummy. I have grown very fond of Eric Cross, and I love the growth his presence has brought to the characters and the story. There were so many twists and turns this go round, and the shock factors had me picking my jaw up a time or two. I absolutely need more of this world!
Toni is in for a tremendous adventure, with heartache and successes, in Ingrid Seymour’s The Tracker's Revenge: Sunderverse (Mate Tracker, Book 4). This is a wonderfully complex yet easy to follow and totally exciting tale that’s superbly written and filled (as the whole series is) with superbly crafted characters. I loved reading it and can easily highly recommend it.
This book had some answers for Tori and us. Yes Jake was her mate. She had step siblings who could actually turn out to be quite nice if not under the influence of their father. And her alpha powers are growing by leaps and bounds. Don't want to add spoliers but I am really looking forward to the next book.
Really, how much worse could it get? I seriously can’t wait for book five just to relieve the stress of all the mounting challenges. The creativity of this author is off the charts, lots of action, building romances, new magical powers in each book with a nod to the human being able to be bada**. Good stuff!
This series is wack. Strong female leads should be smarter than this. This is book 4 and she still can't figure out how to use her powers. I was enjoying the story but when I hit the climax of book 4 and she still had to have a H step in to save her I was done. DNF. I had one chapter left but life is just to short.
Book 4 takes you on an emotional roller coaster with twists you don't see coming. I do not know how this author does it but everytime I think this series can't possibly get better - it does. I am so invested in these characters and captivated by every word and do not want the story to end.
