"Kyuu-chan. It's true. I like seeing you healthy and happy. But even when you're not feeling your best... I could never hate you. No matter what state you're in... you'll always be my Kyuu-chan."

This volume was filled with so many moments that made me giggle! I really loved the 4-koma on page 26 where Hinata is thinking that Kyuu is just striking a dashing pose but really, Kyuu has his claws stuck in the curtain. That made me smile so big!! These two are just too adorable.

I also love the mini-arc about Kyuu-chan having artist's block and needing to find new inspiration to draw, I totally felt him. Followed by a really great set of pages where they meet Ooshima's bird, Pippi-kun, who is the cutest bird to ever be drawn in the existence of art, oh my gosh!! He's shaped so cutely and I love the way he and Ooshima get along.

The "Yellow Ribbon" comic on page 68 also stood out to me in regards to this series' themes about taking part in your community and taking care of the people around you. Ogura loves to pet dogs, but when he sees a dog with a yellow ribbon tied to the leash, he respectfully lets it pass by, explaining to Hinata that a yellow ribbon means that the dog needs space. I looked it up because I had never seen it before, and apparently, it's a real thing! I really appreciate the inclusion of this comic in communicating the importance of respecting an animal's space.

In general, it's another volume filled with smiles and warm fuzzies. I'm really, really enjoying this series. <3

Kyuu-chan is always super cute! And now he has a plush shark (where he can curl up in the sharks mouth) and he also has Hinata-sans scrubbing brush. His collection of toys keeps growing. Also, little Kyuu-chan gets a cold... Don't forget about the flip book in the bottom corner. Adorable!
