Knox Lancaster is a cocky, insolent, roguish ex-SEAL who walks the earth as a scrumptious Stetson-wearing cowboy and has never been denied what he wants.
Until Karma catches up with him.
Karmen Roa—aka Karma— is a scrappy, one-shot, one-kill sniper with an attitude problem and a mouth that can shoot just as fast as she can pull the trigger. She's also gorgeous and dangerously hot in bed. Knox knows. He's been burned by her heat once before.
Unfortunately, she also has that stupid one-guy, one-night, no-repeat rule that she refuses to break. Knox likes his whiskey neat and his women fierce, but this woman?
She just might prove to be his downfall.

Anna del Mar writes hot, smart romances that soothe the soul, challenge the mind, and satisfy the heart. Her stories focus on strong heroines struggling to find their place in the world and the brave, sexy, kickass, military heroes who defy the limits of their broken bodies to protect the women they love. She is the author of The Asset (Carina Press), the first novel of her Wounded Warrior series and three other novels scheduled for release during 2016.

A Georgetown University graduate, Anna enjoys traveling, hiking, skiing, and the sea. Writing is her addiction, her drug of choice, and what she wants to do all the time. The extraordinary men and women she met during her years as a Navy wife inspire the fabulous heroes and heroines at the center of her stories. When she stays put—which doesn’t happen very often—she lives in Florida with her indulgent husband and two very opinionated cats.

Anna del Mar's seventh Alpha Heroes novel, Knox, was an eagerly awaited treat for this reader, as I've been hooked on this series from the start. If you're new to the series, I highly recommend starting at the beginning with the first novel, Ajax, because many of the characters previously featured in the earlier novels also appear in this one, although Knox can be read as a standalone. In this reader's opinion, Ms. del Mar knocked this one out of the park, and it is most definitely a 5-star read.

The Alpha Heroes series features members of Battle Brothers, a sporting goods company on the surface, but below the surface, an Elite Team of ex-military, ex-SEALs, ex-Special Forces operatives--a highly effective and highly secretive strike force whose clandestine members are sent out to right wrongs, free hostages, apprehend evildoers around the world, and serve the cause of justice.

Each novel in this series features one of the Battle Brothers operatives, and one of the reasons I was so excited about getting my hands on this seventh novel in the series was that it also featured an intriguing character who's been mentioned in the series, Karma--she's one tough and snarky cookie, but she's never been fully described, and for that reason, I pictured her as small and feisty, with a snarky attitude, but I certainly never pictured her as the statuesque, platinum blonde bombshell with a smutty mouth and snarky attitude, who we finally meet as the novel opens, two years in the past.

Karma is the only female member of the BB Elite Team, and even more surprising--she's a world-class sniper extraordinaire with a take no prisoners attitude. Knox, who's been studying her at the same bar for the past 6 nights, is beyond intrigued by and attracted to Karma, who has fended off all comers during those 6 nights--and Knox doesn't plan on letting her do the same to him. Karma also has a one-night, one guy, no repeats policy, and she lays it all on the line before leaving her seat at the bar with Ajax, who wakes up alone the next morning.

Two years later, Knox and Karma meet again, as they are sent out on a Battle Brothers mission together, a mission in which they will be posing as newlyweds on their honeymoon in an exotic location, Malta, all as a cover for getting into the good graces of, and then bringing down another global evildoer. Well, that was the plan at the outset, but as a fan of this series, I was well aware of the best-laid plans scenario, and again, Ms. del Mar didn't disappoint--there's more to this op than get in, get the bad guy, and get out quickly--a lot more. Knox and Karma strikes sparks off each other, and the action and danger in this novel soon take off like a category 5 hurricane.

A word of warning--if foul language, graphic sex, graphic violence, verbal and physical abuse offend or are triggers for you, this is not the novel you should be reading.. However, if you enjoy an action-packed thriller of a novel, with drama, conflict, and plenty of emotional angst, as well as one heck of a sexy romance, I think you'll enjoy this novel every bit as much as I did.

I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions expressed are my own.

How!?!

Just how does this author do it?! This was ANOTHER amazing read!! Just fantastic! (I miss them already!!)

I will say that I have been a big fan of this author for a while, and she is one of my top 10, "no-questions, one click, pre-order" authors. I enjoyed the other books in this series and made sure I could finish this in one sitting, as past experience told me that once started, her books cannot be set down. As usual, the pages turned themselves and I was sad to reach the end.

From the cover to the last page, these characters gripped me tightly and pulled me along with the mission. No one does romance heat like this author and these two characters are truly incredible together. So, so steamy! The reverence this author has for our military warriors is tangible and jumps off the pages. Several times the emotions of these characters gave me pause, and I found myself wanting them in reality...cheering their victories and becoming incensed at their military situations and the lack of leadership they encountered.

That's how well crafted and written this story is. It's a series that provides a reader with a fantastic combination of emotions and characters to enjoy.

I strongly recommend reading this series in the correct reading order to get the most from the story and series.
If I could leave a hundred stars, I would. Totally worth your time to read this story and series.

I was so looking forward to this book, because the two mains really amused me in the last book, and I wasn't disappointed! This story was just great fun to read - the suspense was done well and the romance was too. I flew through the book, and was sad when I got to the end only to see that the next book in the series won't be out for many months, ugh!!

There were a couple things that were not fantastic, but that's just me being nit picky. There were times when Knox's inner dialog felt like it was written by a woman. He was just too insightful. I found it difficult to believe that a man would really have that level of understanding of women's issues, even a forward thinking one.

As much as I enjoyed Karma, because I love a badass woman, I didn't necessarily like the implication that the reason she was badass is because her father was abusive and "broke" her. It certainly added to the drama, and her vulnerability and ability to overcome made for a good story. But a woman can be badass without being broken by a man first. Just saying.

But again, these minor things did not prevent me from having a great time with this one. Anna del Mar is a one click buy for me all the time, and I love this series!

Wow. The level of detail in the subject of sniping shows how much time and effort has gone into the homework for this book. It’s been written in such a way to make it understandable for the majority of us who don’t have the first clue about the subject matter, but not done so you feel like you’re at school learning again.
Some very tough subjects touched on; including mental and physical abuse, but also the negative thoughts that sadly affect those who’ve suffered trauma and the after affects of it... very well written with a lot of empathy and heart.
Love the b*tching between the characters and the camaraderie with the team - like siblings :)
Superbly written and a fantastic book to add to my growing collection of Anna's paperbacks and ebooks - well done that woman 5 star's for you :)

Wow so it has been forever...

But completely worth the wait!
You couldn't have created a more kick azz warrior, top sniper, Presidential club, seriously this Marine has it all going for her! Yep her, Karma, and that is exactly what she delivers!
The finally along comes Knox who is a squid, (Navy), even tempered, can parry Karma's mouthy comments instantly, and actually gets her.
Together these two are part of the Elite, best of the Battles on Brothers.
Out to help for the greater good, and always falling into trouble...
But this is were they excel and start really feeling for each other.
But this wouldn't be a BBB novel without real bad situations and individuals, chaos, pain, and definitely some crazy!
I loved every moment!
Now ... About Kane???¿?
And not just Kane, but Trev?

This is the first time I have read anything by Anna del Mar and I really liked this series. Each book is about a different man who had a terrible childhood and ended up in child detention together where they formed a bond. They ended up being lucky and being adopted by the same amazing couple and all became brothers. All of the different brothers go into different branches of the military and become receive high positions like Navy Seal. Once they come back they create a company where they are able to sell products that they thought of while on tour but behind that company they are also a group that works to help still defend the good and our country. Each book contains a romance for each of these men who believe they are to hard to deserve love.

Love the female badassery.

I think this is another excellent addition to the Alpha Heroes series. It has a strong storyline that highlights the heroine's struggle to show what a pillow of strength she is now.
Karma is one kick ass gal. She gives the bad boys a run for their money. It took several of them to get the upper hand of her, and only after she did some serious damage to them.
Kane has met his match. He is an Alpha male who meets a perfectly dead drop geogious Alpha female in a male dominated Alpha world. Being raised by a father like her, she doesn't need an enemy. The book is excellent and well worth reading.

Anna Del Mar Is a new to me author and I am not sure how I ran across Knox but, girl, am I glad I did. I was blown away by the remarkable characters, the excellent storyline, the action, the depth of emotions and of course, the white hot sizzle. Knox and Karma were wow, just wow!

Having started at the seventh book in the series and given how much I loved Knox, it's a sure bet that I am going to read them all. Well done Anna Del Mar, well done!

I really enjoyed this book didn't think the two of them would get along as much as they did. Karma, is awesome love her. Knox reminds me of one of those good ol' boys that rolls with the punches. The bar fight scene was epic to say the least.

I hope that we get to see Trevor's story soon. Can't wait to see what the deal is with Kane's woman.

I love the Alpha Heroes Series. Each book is independent yet beloved characters can be found within the pages. This is Knox and Karma's story. It is fast paced, filled with the hunt for bad guys, as well as a complicated dance between our key characters. Strong men and women. After reading this book I am eagerly looking forward to the next book in the series and reaching for earlier books for rereads. Bravo, Anna del Mar!

The uppity arrogance of both MCs annoyed me a ton in the beginning, but they grow on you. I like how Karma isn't just a helpless damsel in distress.
