Kaitlyns story is one of redemption!
We got to know Kaitlyn as we read the ARC shifter stories, being so close to the guys in the DOG house, she was always just one of the guys. We never heard her past until now.
Trigger warning, abuse happened in Kaitlyn’s past. Her story is shared in a way that shows her healing as she works through it and I hope it would help anyone else in a similar situation seek healing too.
I’m so glad Landon is her mate! He is such a great guy and I loved getting to know him right along with Kaitlyn.
Their story is sweet and their bonding natural. Showing how much strength flows from their love and respect for each other.
Julie doesn’t leave the story on a cliffhanger, but she definitely leaves it open for their story to continue, and I’d love to read more if it ever does.

Please never stop writing
I am so head over heels in love with this shifter universe that Julie Trettel has created. With each new book I swear that one is my favorite. I love each and every character, the main ones, ones we've met in previous books, and the ones I hope get their own books. The one true mate concept is so appealing and yet doesn't take anything away from the drama and anticipation we are used to seeing in romance novels. Landon made my heart go pitter patter when we first met him in a previous book so I'm super happy he finally found his mate. Kaitlyn was always a mystery so I was excited to finally learn more about her. Together they are perfection and I just smiled throughout reading because of how well they fit together. I hope Ms. Trettel never runs out of characters and stories because I don't want to ever leave this universe!

Kaitlyn has always been one of the D.O.G, and honorary sister to all of the fraternity brothers. Most of the guys don't know why they are honor bound by Damon to protect her, they just do. With Kaitlyn about to wrap up school she really has no set plans on what she will do next except she does know she will never return to her pack in Texas. The memories won't let her. During graduation Alphas come to cheer on their graduate and hers is no exception. Little did she ever think that the young Alpha of the British Columbia pack could be her true mate. After a quick drunken bonding she is now the pack mother to an entire pack. Kaitlyn must learn to navigate her new role, her new pack while also discovering just who Landon, her new mate and Alpha are. Luckily she has her good friend Tobi by her side and with the help of Landon's love she will overcome her history to discover that love really can heal the heart.

Protected Promise is the 7th book in Julie Trettel's paranormal ARC Shifter series, it tells the story of Kaitlyn and her mate. It can be read as a stand-alone but in my opinion reading all of the series gives you the full effect.
When you meet Kaitlyn you think she needs to be protected and may be a little broken, Julie tells her story and shows her strength and grit and where you may have loved her in the beginning you are proud of who she is by the end. Julie chose a mate who is passionate and full of compassion. He is perfect for Kaitlyn and as their story develops you can't help but love them as a couple.
There are laugh out loud moments and moments of compassion and strength. This was such a great read. I highly recommend.

Otra entrega de la serie ARC sobre jóvenes shifters y como se vinculan con sus parejas destinadas.
La historia de amor fue agradable. Landon y Kaitlyn? Nunca me los hubiera imaginado juntos pero me pareció que tenían sentido. Ella necesitaba una pareja y manada en la que se sintiera segura. Esta vez el héroe es un alfa y fue diferente leer sobre cómo la heroína se adapta al papel de pareja del alfa y Madre de la manada.
Landon es el alfa joven de la pequeña manda de British Columbia y mejor amigo de Tobi. Me gustó lo amoroso y comprensivo que era con Kaitlyn. Era protector pero me pareció que no lo hizo del todo bien. Se confió demasiado en las lobas y no aclaró con el consejo de inmediato que había encontrado su pareja destinada.
Kaitlyn siempre fue un misterio para mí. Qué es lo oscuro que había visto Marie en ella? La historia de su pasado fue horrible. Ninguna mujer debería pasar por esa clase de abuso. Ir a la escuela y los amigos que la acogieron como una hermana pequeña en DOG la ayudaron a superar esa traumática etapa de su vida. Cuando descubre que es la pareja única de Landon tiene miedo que él no la quiera y aún no se siente cómoda en la intimidad pero el amor y paciencia del alfa la ayudan a hacerlo.
Me hubiera gustado ver a Kaitlyn interactuando más con los integrantes de la manada y ver más desafíos pero... La pelea con las lobas me convenció, fue brutal! No hay duda de que ella se merecía el respeto absoluto después de vencer a las lobas que la retaron. Así que fue genial tener algo de acción y peligro en la historia también. Lo disfruté. Otra cosa que me hubiera gustado es que atraparan a la Clover, no me gustó que quedara sin castigo.
Si bien Landon y Kaitlyn como pareja me parecían adorables, sentí que solo los conocí por encima. Necesité más profundidad, conocer más, entender más, sobretodo por sus historias difíciles.
Me alegró volver a saber de Tobi y Jackson, y sus planes futuros. Al final le dará su lealtad a Landon?
El final fue feliz pero medio frustrante. Se abrió el hotel y la pequeña manada estaba prosperando pero por qué no le dijo Kaitlyn la buena nueva a Landon?

A fantastic story and series!
I have really enjoyed this series, and this book was no exception! I'll be honest, I usually don't read the younger adult stories, however I was hooked on the previous series', and so I decided to try this series. I am thrilled that I did because I have loved all of the stories.
I was happy that Kaitlyn finally got her own story, that it was revealed why the DOG's were so protective of her, and that she found her one true mate. Both of them truly deserve to have their own HEA, but unfortunately they're going to have to fight to keep the bond between them. I really enjoyed the story, but I wish that it hadn't ended so abruptly. I would've liked to seen a bit more of how their lives together would be, as well as more closure on the threat to them.
If you haven't already read the previous series' by this author, I would highly encourage you to do so. It's not necessary in order to enjoy this series, but it will give you a better understanding of the characters, the connections, the different packs, and the dynamics between all of them. They're all absolutely fantastic stories, and you definitely won't be disappointed. You need to start with the Westin Pack series, then the Collier Pack, ARC Shifters, and then Westin Force. Trust me, once you begin, you certainly won't want to miss any of these stories.
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.
I'm really looking forward to reading the next book in the series, as well as hoping that there will be many more to come.

Protected Promise was everything I thought it would be and more. I relate a lot to Kaitlyn's story and reading how her and Landon worked together just opened my heart. I laughed, cried, and felt just about every emotion I could. Thank you so much for sharing their story with me. I hope we get to see them agian in the future but for now I will just say poor Han and Chewie. Lol.
Kaitlyn has grown so much in this book. The DOGs definitely did not disappoint. You could see that the love and respect they had for her was returned to each one of them even Kian. Going into this book I was nervous with how the DOGs would accept Landon. Julie really did a great job in handling everything. My husband much like Landon helped pull me through it.

Julie Trettel has done it again! I 100% recommend this book, you won't want to put it down! This is the story we've been waiting for since Kaitlyn first appeared in this series! We find out why she has been protected by the D.O.Gs during her time at the ARC and we get to see her find love!

received this book free and I am voluntarily leaving a review. Oh my talk about a book that has it all! I cried like a baby, I loved how kian told her "we're not all going to hurt you " this book hits in things that really happened and all through the DOGS getting their mates we never knew her secret but it broke my heart she carried that shame when it wasn't her to carry. .....I was excited to that Landon was her mate he needed a good mate ! They are meant for one another and you can feel that when you read their hea. I can't wait to see how they are in a future book I love how this author keeps us updated on everyone through all the stories ! Now I can't wait for kian and the sexy Australian to find their mates lol

Is it possible for an author to constantly outdo themselves? The answer is yes, at least when it comes to Julie Trettel.
Kaitlyn has secrets. She’s the only she wolf in the D.O.G. House, well not in the fraternity per se, but sort of an honorary member. Her mate (not gonna spoil this in case you haven’t figured it out yet) comes to the ARC (an all-shifter college) for for graduation, and bam, there’s Kaitlyn.
Humor, despair, passion and love are all things you’ll find in this fantastic story.
I love Kaitlyn’s mate, there could not have been anyone else that was better suited for it.
It is book number 7 of the ARC Shifters series, and while it could probably be read as a standalone, I’d recommend reading the other books for context.
I’m giving this book 5 out of 5 stars.

I absolutely loved every aspect of this book! I knew that Kaitlyn had experienced trauma of some kind in her past and the dynamics of her and the DOG fraternity was somewhat necessary but after getting a better understanding I was so happy to see her with Landon! She definitely needed a "new" man since she is to close to the others so Julie Trettle throwing Landon our way was great. I will admit I needed a refresher of who exactly Landon was but after that the story flowed effortlessly. I have read all of this author's books so I'm not even sure who is up next but I am positive I will be waiting (impatiently).

I fell in love with Kaitlyns character in all of the ARC shifters books and couldn’t wait to finally read her story. She has been one of those characters that was so well developed with a secret. You just hope for her true mate. I couldn’t have been more happy or giddy to find out it was Landon. I definitely loved the compassion you saw from him in iPromise. So to have them end up together and the love he shows her is amazing. She deserves it and more after watching every one of her friends find their mate. It’s graduation time for DOG ‘mascot’/little sister, Kaitlyn. She’s certain her abusive past won’t ever let enjoy a mate so she submits for jobs in the human world far away from her home pack. As the alpha’s descend on the campus to support their graduates, Landon, from Tobi’s Canadian pack among them. He’s ecstatic to scent Kaitlyn at a celebration party.
Neither Kaitlyn nor Landon fought the mating too hard but when he takes her home, his pack isn’t exactly welcoming plus a clutch of females have come to try to convince Landon to choose one of them as a mate. One is ready for the all of us against method Kaitlyn until someone points out the error in that plan.

Kaitlyn has always been one of my favorite side characters. Always knew their was more to her story so I was happy to see she got her own book.
There is talk of SA so keep that in mind but I do think this was a beautiful take on Redemption for Kaitlyn and coming to terms with her past.
Loved that Landon was her mate and gettin a better look at him and his pack. I do think this was a perfect pairing IMO they truly leveled each other out

Great book!
I love almost all of Julie's books. I have read a few of the ARC series, but for some reason, I haven't been able to get into them. After reading Tobi's story, I found Landon intriguing. So I'm definitely glad I decided to read this book. You know a book is good, when you don't want it to end. I enjoyed reading about Landon's pack, watching Landon and Kaitlyn's love develope, and the twist and turns in their story. That's what makes a book fun to read. I always love the incorporation of the Westin's. It's like never having to let go of your first love.

I absolutely loved this read, Julie Trettel really knows how to keep you hooked, Kaitlyn and Landon’s story does just that. It was great to see her history finally out in the open and see Kaitlyn get the happiness she obviously deserved, and Landon was the perfect mate for her.
Loved this story and the plot, the characters as always are great. Some angst, and dark moments but overall a beautiful romance with a few steamy scenes thrown in. These series are definitely a must for supernatural shifter lovers. Highly recommend

I definitely don’t want to give too much away but all I can say is Landon never had a chance to be a young adult he was made alpha at 17 after his father was killed.
Kaitlyn has these deep secrets all it takes is a chance meeting at a fraternity party and Landon and Kaitlyn’s story begins. There is so much more to the story I definitely don’t want to give all of it away all I can say is read it!

I absolutely loved this book. ❤. It was definitely a tear jerker finally hearing about Kaitlyn's past of what her deepest secrets were. Knowing she was able to overcome her fears and live her life to the fullest with Landon was awesome. He was the best choice for her. I was a little disappointed that the ending was such a huge cliff hanger but it's left open for what I am hoping is anthor book for this amazing couple. Can't wait for the next book of the ARC series to come out.

This book was good. I didn’t feel as connected to Landon & Kaitlyn as I did with some of the other characters in this series. It was enjoyable and I was surprised when the book wrapped up. The love story of Kaitlyn and Landon. It's graduation time at ARC. Landon has come down from Canada to watch Tobi graduate but he find his true mate. Well I enjoyed the entry for Caitlin a lot. Sweet girl needed a happy ending. Bit disappointed that Sawyer didn't step up more. He just dropped a bomb on her and pretty much abandoned her. Like " oh well your aunt and uncle dead good luck and all" and never a word more from that guy even on the mess with challengers. It feels a bit unfinished to be honest. Same feeling I got with Marie. Like it is just about to get good and it ends. Would've enjoyed a resolution with Clover at least.

Amazing!
I’m so happy we finally got Kaitlyns story. She’s been a fixture in all the ARC books. Her backstory is heartbreaking, I’m glad her mate helped her heal. He is fantastic and I love how they are together. I hated the drama from the 7, but I love how Kaitlyn handled it. My only complaint was the epilogue not being long enough, I wanted to read more.

Protected promise
I love Kaitlyn and Landons story. They have both had to grow up fast and miss out on things. This took you on an emotional roller coaster as they navigates there future together. This was filled with love, hurt, drama, suspense, danger, twist and turns and chemistry. A fantastic read with amazing characters.

Ever since Kaitlyn was first brought up in the ARC books I have been waiting on her story. I absolutely loved the way it unfolded and how it tied into the previous stories as well. I cannot get enough of the world that Julie has created with her words. I always can’t wait until the next book! Keep writing Julie, we love you!

Loved it another great book by this author. I loved Landon 's personality and felt sad for what Kaitlyn went through in her childhood. She needed someone like Landon.
I love that we always get to see and catch up with the characters from her Westin pack series. I hope that she'll keep on adding more books to these series.

A must Read!
I absolutely loved Kaitlyn's story!! It was everything I expected and so much more! Her mate is everything she needs and deserves but more then that he fits right in to the series! Every new book by Julie helps build her world even further out and I have loved every moment of it! I can't wait for more!!
