Not one of the best grammar textbooks I ran across, but also not the worst. The exercises were topically interesting but much too short overall, and the organization of the lessons was not entirely sensical - but so it goes. I encountered a fair few typos and errors between the answer key and the exercises, which was annoying. Fundamentally, I do wish that there was simply more content here. Though I also went through the companion book by Bibard (intermediate grammar), I was not entirely convinced. These single-authored attempts to replicate the professional approach to grammar and language acquisition textbooks are admirable, but not an entirely able replacement.
It was an okay source of exercises, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it for learning French grammar from scratch. You'll need to supplement it with other sources (e.g. the lawlessfrench website) because the information given in this book is brief and not at all comprehensive.
I never thought learning French was this easy, it almost similar to English. This book has been a great help to me, I can now read a full French story. The exercise enabled me to sharpen my understanding and also to improve my pronunciation.
