Bear Willis: Mountain Man: The Making Of A Mountain Man: Death Stalks The Rockies: A Third Mountain Man Adventure

Rate this book
The third book in a brand new Mountain Man adventure series from Peter Alan Turner!

Death stalks the Rockies as mountain men Bear, his father Charles, grandfather Eric, and Indian friend travel back to Eric’s home in the Sierra Nevadas. However, it isn’t long before they find themselves escorting a small group of settlers hell-bent on reaching California. Eric wants no part of shepherding a group of pilgrims, but finally agrees to guide the family.

The Rockies are a dangerous and forbidden place. One misstep can mean death, and when the family you are guiding turns out to be outlaws, the dangers only multiply. One disaster after another threatens the mountain men’s lives. Finally, the true motive behind the settlers is revealed, and the mountain men find themselves in the fight of their lives.

Writing has always been a lifelong dream. Finally, at 71 years young, that dream became a reality. I am honored to be part of Dusty Saddles Publishing, the leading publisher of Western Novels. Currently, I have several Western Series on Amazon: Chet Henderson: Texas Ranger Adventure Series, Bear Willis: Mountain Man Series, and Willie McGee: Mountain Man Series. Along with a co-write with my granddaughter.

In creating my Westerns, I wanted to do three things, be authentic, create likable characters, and tell a good story. With a lot of hard work and prayer, my books have been well received, so, I must be doing something right.

I live with my wife of fifty-three years and our cat Moxie on Rattlesnake Ridge. We are lucky that our children, grandchildren, and great-grandson all live close by. When I'm not writing, I enjoy woodcarving, fishing, and pampering my classic Jaguar.

I donate a portion of the profits from my books to Veteran charities, including the Veteran’s Independence Project.

The Extermination Of The Kinkaid Gang

This was a good mountain man story that was well written and full of action. The proof reading did however leave something to be desired. Otherwise, it was a quick read and hard to put down once you got started. I enjoyed it and would recommend it.

Family Strong

I hope the rest of the books are as great stories that the first ones have been. The family thinks and moved as a single unit. Hard to put down even to eat.
