This book was a Christmas gift from one of my sisters that I’ll treasure always. It captured two of my favorite things; God and the beach. 🙏🏻🏖️ Someday it will sit on my nightstand at my beach house!

This took me 2 summers to get through but I did enjoy picking it up each morning and reading the short devotion. The imagery of the beach, ocean, etc was woven into all every single day. Even though it was meditative it did start to feel repetitive a tiny bit. Also for a devotion about rest and relaxation I was absolutely STUNNED when there was a graphic animal scene on one of the later days. That’s absolutely not the vibe. Definitely knocked off a star for that.

I really enjoyed this devotional. It's the first time I've ever read one and the author is a fellow beach lover so I can relate to much of her examples. I started this on the Dennis Prager listening cruise we went on in Nov-Dec 2024. Since he fell 2 weeks earlier and was paralyzed from the neck down, the listener cruise could have been a depressing cruise. But it wasn't. They substituted people we have also listened to and we got daily updates on Dennis. And I started this devotional and it was very uplifting. I would recommend it to anyone, beach lover or not!

I love the beach, it is my happy place. So, this book was perfect for me and I'm sad I finished it because I have to find something that gives me the same peace and joy I got from this this book.

As someone who loves the beach, this devotional is perfect! I love the references to the ocean, beach life and how the author relates it to life in Christ. It is beautifully designed, wonderfully written and I find myself bookmarking devotions to return to again.
