I first started writing after a car accident in the year 2007. The months of bed rest that followed gave me the time and space to think and drove me towards using writing as a way of storytelling
I have snaked through life exploring various modes of expression ranging from technical circuit boards to artistic canvases; from the camera to the typewriter.
The word 'saudade' has different meanings in different languages- all leading towards the light at the end of the tunnel. Though this light I am talking about is like Schrodinger's cat. It may or may not exist. I cannot know for sure until I reach my destination.
Saudade is a collection of prose and poetry written over the years. It describes an emotional state of longing for a better place; happiness of the kind that is in the past or may never exist again.
It is based on my personal experiences with people and those that I've lived vicariously through friends and family and the community of women all around the world. The small wonders of life's relationships that unveil on a daily basis intrigue me the most.
Beautiful set of words strung together to express feelings one can often only find buried in the deepest trenches of the heart. This book is a cheers to the brave and to those who share to inspire others.
