This book was so good I'm so happy Carmen didn't stay after finding out her husband was stepping out on there marriage again. Derrick thought he was a mack daddy but ended up getting played by his side piece. Carmen meets Sergio the two isn't looking for love, but love has other plans. Definitely a great read💜🔥💜🔥💜🔥💜

Being young and taking a chance on love I bet Carmen never would’ve thought it would leave her in a loveless one sided marriage for over a decade and a philandering no good husband. Moving across the country to be with Derrick Carmen war against her parents for love and had nothing to really show for it. Derrick is a man who couldn’t be faithful to his wife if it took his last breath to do so. Yet again Carmen is faced with Derrick infidelities bc he’s gotten someone pregnant while she’s been the dutiful housewife. Wanting to make her marriage work she stays and deals with whatever comes. This time around she’s done dealing and wants out and makes it known. A night out on the town with her bestie Jayda leads her to the very handsome very street orientated Sergio who is captivated by her at first glance. Too caught up in the streets and having women only want him for what he can do for them he’s not the settling down type. Carmen has him rethinking that and so much more as they get to know one another after running into one another again when she goes back home to Tampa Fl after an untimely death in the family. Derrick is planning to welcome yet another child into the world that’s not from his wife and is thrown for a loop when his karma catches up to him in the worst way possible. Serg comes across an enemy that hit close to home just not his and he’s force to made a decision after someone close to him gets hurts and him not wanting to put this person through anymore pain than they’ve already been in. Watching Carmen & Serg blossom into something great was a good thing and I love it all. Sergio and Carmen met by chance and the unexpected friendship turned to a remarkable relationship. Carmen came from a dysfunctional marriage from a husband who knew Carmen was all that but due to his way of being brought up Derrick kept his hands and🍆 to himself. The sad part is he really thought he could do whatever he wanted and Carmen would continue to be his trophy wife.
Boy meeting Sergio Carmen found out what it was like to be respected, loved, understood by a thug that ended up being the best thing for her. Sergio had beef with someone that ended up being related to Carmen, Sergio was such the man that his love of Carmen made him go outside his norm and gave the dog a chance to live and never bother Carmen or him again.
Derrick thought the world revolved around him and when his karma came it was well deserved in my opinion. Carmen was saved to not have a baby with Derrick, God gave her who she was supposed to have a true family with. Good Job

Tampa Bae
Sooo I read this because it was about someone from Tampa. Yes I know about the Miami but who doesn't write about Miami but with this one definitely interested me. Ince I started reading I liked the characters as well so I kept going. I loved this instant karma going on and I liked that especially for people who were genuine to the people around them. Serg is definitely bae for real.. the way he was there for Carmen no questions asked and also the way he cared about her feelings and how something could hurt her. Carmen is definitely his type whether he knew it or not because she didn't want anything from but to be faithful, honest and true. She didn't have to tell him how to love her because he just did it or how to treat her and his example wasn't the best. I liked how the book flowed and we got different characters voices because it's always nice to get the other person's side. Will definitely read from this author again

Sergio and Carmen
This was a great read. I didn't like Derrick dog azz but the nicca said some funny 💩. I got choked when he was going off about Carmen cutting her hair. It was funny when he said his supposed wife looked like his supposed brother and she went from trophy to figurine, but what took me out was when he said he bought the wigs for her tennis ball hair😂😂😂. Karma got his azz back tho. I love Sergio he is exactly what Carmen needed to experience what it's like to have a real man and real love and she provided the same for him. He had to really love her because he spared her cousin Griffey's life even tho he deserved a permanent nap.❤❤

Whew Derrick was a piece of trash and did not deserve Carmen. She should have left him a long time ago but good things come to those that wait. Carmen finally got the courage to leave and when she did her life opened up to something she didn’t expect. I love Sergio and how he was patient with Carmen and wanted nothing but the best for her. They complimented each other and they worked together. I’m glad this story had a different twist and the guy found his bae and they fell in love together. I do think Griffey got off easy but it was better that way instead of causing more hurt to Carmen. I kinda wanted them to end up married but they still ended with their happy ever after.

Cameron deserved to be happy! Putting up with a man that said he loves you married you but still decided to cheat and make more babies on you was nothing but hurtful! When she could t take no more that was it and she left him alone! Meeting Sergio was one of the best things that happened to her! Now I didn’t like how her cousin tried to make it look like he was all good but who would of thought when her shot she would of jumped in front of the bullet! But when Sergio found him and gave him that money and told him to leave and never come back he better be glad their was is a God! Now lol at them living happily ever after waiting on baby number 2!

Nice and Easy
I was too happy. When mister drowned... Carmen got herself a whole real man in Sergio... Sergio was such a good man that he paid off Carmen rat poop cousin to live another day, despite him trying 2 kill him twice. What a decent man. Glad that they got a chance to know and grow in each other. They we're able to get their lives together Carmen with her business and her heart in finding what a true Man was. Sergio in getting out of the streets and doing his photography dream and becoming a family with kids.... Great Job

This book was a page turner from the beginning. Derrick was down bad, he cheated and made babies on his wife and expected her to accept his kids. Once Carmen learned of his baby with Felicia she left him. Carmen cut her hair and Derrick went off on her even bought her a wig. Carmen goes out with her friend and meet Sergio. Sergio was definitely a breath of fresh air and showed Carmen what it was to be loved correctly. Derrick ended up getting played by Felicia and losing his life in the same day. Great read

Who says the man gotta make the first move. Carnen saw what she wanted and went for it. That was the vest decision she could've made cuz Sergio is a good one. They both helped each in different ways. Derrick didn't deserve Carmen and his plan in giving her a hard time backsplashed lol. She got closure and didn't have to lift a finger. Griffey betta be glad the love Sergio had for Carmen sparred his life. Sergio could've ended the beef and Griffey's life but he chose his woman happiness first

Whew Derrick was a p.o.s and didn’t deserve Carmen and I for one was so glad Felecia served him a big slice of humble pie. Sergio was everything she didn’t know she needed and I so loved him for her. Griffey ole grimey ahh so lucky Serg loved Carmen and didn’t want to cause her and her family any more pain. Just when Serg thought he’d never get the family he desired he met Carmen and the rest was history. I loved the fact that they named their daughter Tampa like how cute was that. Really really enjoyed this one ‼️👏🏾

So much going on from Derrick with his entitlement and cheating to Carmen funding Sergio! I hated the way Derrick treated Carmen and had the audacity to get upset when she wanted better for herself! I was hoping he would be around to see her prosper and be happy. I’m glad she found Sergio and he changed for the better. He saw something in her and knew that was it! Definitely a good read!

Whew I’m glad felecia gave Derrick some humble pie cause he was just too cocky. Carmen had me kinda skeptical about her moves but I’m glad Sergio didn’t let her run him off and he definitely showed her different. He really wanted her to let that dumb cousin go lol. Carmen definitely deserves her happy ending with something she hadn’t got from her husband and clearly for good reason.

This was a great read. Hunny I was read to kill derrick ass myself . I don't see how she put up with it cuz baby there ain't that much love. Karma always comes around.I can't believe he gave her cuz money to leave with cuz while I understand he didn't kill him for her cuz of love. He would've have to have figured out how to make it on his own I spared you that's it that's all more than what anybody else would've done in the game.

I think this was a really sweet story. I was thoroughly entertained. And doesn’t Serg just sound like a winner!?! They made a really great couple and they have a really sweet love story.

Short and sweet...I definitely was not feeling Derrick. So glad he got played by Felicia. Griffey was the worst type of "favorite cousin" anyone could ask for. Carmen and Sergio found each other and held on tight despite the bad first impression. So happy they didn't give up on each other. I'm a sucker for a happy ending and so happy for their little family!!!!!

Derrick was definitely a FN... he did some real ugly things to Carmen because he felt she was would never lead be him...I'm glad he was played and it allowed Carmen to move on...Griffin was also a real creep doing all the crazy things he did...Sergio should have bodied him instead of giving him a pass...

This standalone was a good read. Enjoyed the storyline and these characters. I couldn't stand Derrick from the beginning. He really thought he was a player, but the player got played. I really liked Carmen and Sergio together, they're exactly what each other needed. So loved how everything turned out. Good job Ms. Street Cred.

That ending was backwards
There was a lot of issues I had with this book. However, that ending didn’t make since. Carmen was pregnant and doing a photo shoot then the next chapter she finding out she pregnant. How, sway…. Also, the husband dying was just to confident. Then the cousin got off Scott free.

All I can say is Derrick slipped and Sergio gripped. Derrick also got played like a fiddle. I don’t feel sorry for him because he disrespected his marriage to Carmen time and time again. That’s okay because she walked out with her head held high.
