A Judge's Secrets (STEALTH: Shadow Team Book 3) by Danica Winters
Book starts right in with action and adventure as the judges are hearing cases and making decisions.
Story follows Judge Natalie and she's spent time with Judge Hanes as they talk over their trials.
Story also follows Evan who's come to be a bodyguard and protector for Judge Hanes as he's been threatened.
Problem is in front of their eyes he is killed and he takes on protecting Judge Natalie.
She gets that this is a real thing when her car blows up. He is able to take her to a safe location and I love the mother who tends to them.
They try to figure out the clues that are there and to find out who's the culprit.
The Stealth agency is going to aid them in demolishing the bomb and with internal information to find clues as to the decisions made at the court house.
The two become so close but she backs away in time as he also realizes he needs his head in the game to solve who's trying to kill her and others.
So many actions scenes and being in harm’s way. You wonder not only if they will survive after so many attempts but will their relationship survive as well.
This one had me at the edge of my seat. can't wait to read another in this series.

I was so excited when hubby gives me a box of harlequins for my bday cuz he know I grew up reading these with my nana and she passed. LOVE most of the books. BJ Daniel,s Barbara Ha, Julie Miller, uno Russian, love all my intrigue favorites all accept Danica Winters. Her writing is horrible! You can tell she so love white people and be racists and make Judge Karen perfect she should change her name to nice white lady writer Karen. I never review but had to come warn y'all, especially other women of color, this author and her trash is racist garbage! Save your money and buy some better intrigues.

My one star I took off was because the romance just felt off. Engaged after three months? It felt cheesy and cliche throughout the book and I couldn’t get past it. But I loved the mystery itself; I definitely didn’t see that ending coming.

Too much passive story line and not enough active for my taste. There was tension and romance as the story progressed. A lot of danger but the bad guy was the one I suspected from the beginning.

Who does’t love a combination of sarin, car bombs and a highjacked firetruck along with some hanky panky? (I can’t be the only one, right?) The newest book in the STEALTH: Shadow Team series starts with Natalie and Evan witnessing an assassination attempt on her fellow judge Steve Hanes. Steve had hired Evan as security after he finds a threatening picture on his desk in the courthouse, and Evan arrives just in time and recognizes the severity of what he suspects is a chemical nerve agent attack on Steve. Natalie feels an instant attraction to Evan though initially he is somewhat suspect due to her proximity to the incident but you know that isn’t going to last long!
Immediately upon leaving the courthouse, Natalie and Evan narrowly avoid the blast from a car bomb and it becomes clear that somebody is targeting the two judges. Following the second incident they are forced to go on the run, and after that the story is a mix of danger and romance with some great comedic moments. (Natalie’s ‘pseudo-mom’ Judy is a hoot!) If you like your romance with a lot of chaos, you’ll love this newest release from Danica too!
The STEALTH team continues to be a favorite of mine and I’m really excited for the next book, K-9 Recovery coming in August! Make sure you’re caught up with all the books in the series by then!
