Ethan is one of the thousands of humans who were secretly kidnapped and transported to the alien planet Raug. Forced to live as servants and slaves, many of them would do anything to get back to Earth; but not Ethan. He’s found a home with his lover and denmate, his Raugon master, Kipexo. Together, they’ve vowed to bring the truth of the humans’ situation to light and save them all from servitude.

As his master works to find proof Ethan’s people were taken from Earth by force, Ethan discovers a group of runaway humans in need. Getting involved could sabotage everything, but turning his back on the sick and starving just isn’t an option. Helping the runaways soon becomes more difficult and dangerous than Ethan ever imagined. If it means risking the life he and Kipexo have built together, is that the price he’s willing to pay to save his friends?

This book is part of a series that should be read in order.

“It’s alright to fall to pieces,” Kipexo said. “As long as someone’s there to put you back together again. You come out stronger on the other side.”

Oh no, where did it all go wrong? I was so in love with the setting and the characters in book one, but as I was reading Surrender I just…lost interest.
The magic was gone, my brain was distracted, the plot got boring — I don’t know exactly why but I found myself skipping and skimming and not really caring about anything. Such a bummer ‘cause I really enjoyed Rescue and I really wanted to enjoy the rest of this trilogy, but my heart isn’t in it anymore.

It was still somewhat fun. The spice was nice and kinky but not excellent, and I did like that it was in Ethan’s POV. I guess the plot got lost along the way, lots of drama going on but also not enough.
Ok, I’m rambling and not making sense so future me: you liked this, but didn’t love it. Maybe come back to it in the future when you’re in a different headspace to finish it up.

“You are everything I want in life,” Kipexo said. “Nothing but death will take you from me.”

HELL YES WE GET TO BE BACK WITH ETHAN AND KIPEXO AGAIN!!!
I got to be critique partner on this story and I'm so proud of it and of Alex.
There is so much danger and chaos and twisty turns going on in this story. Plus we get some extra spicy sexy scenes!!
I just love seeing my boys together and pushing back against corruption while helping those who need them most.
Also cuteness with Dex! I still need fanart of this floof. Someone get on that LOL. Oh, and cuteness with Grolpre! SO MANY THINGS I COULD SAY BUT THEY'RE SPOILERS. You're gonna love it

What little plot the first instalment got was swallowed by so many sex scenes I am convinced the book would be one chapter long if they got deleted. Christ. PWP indeed.

There is a story here, buried under all the other stuff, but it is hard to get to amidst all the bonking.

This is a whole series review. No. No, no, no. Fucking NO.

The first two books are generally fine. There's character development issues here and there, and the alien MC is an asshole at times. But the sex is very hot and their relationship becomes addictive to read.

So what's the problem? After two books of the "you are my person forever" type of M/M love, the author decides to throw a third AND a fourth person into their relationship in book three. So this series becomes poly at the end. Out of fucking NOWHERE. It is one of the craziest literary decisions I've read in a long time. Even the blurb for the third book says "MM"... NOTHING about poly. It's shady as hell.

I'm not specifically against poly relationships, but I expect to know upfront if I'm reading them. Not three books into a series after a couple has been the primary focus for two whole books. Furthermore, the reason to expand into poly needs to make sense, it needs to be natural. This felt contrived as fuck.

I'm not even going to bother commenting on anything else in detail. I won't be reading this author again. Reader trust has been broken. It's really sad because they ruined a good thing for something very silly. It would have been a 3 or 3.5 star rating for me, maybe 4, but now it's a 1 and I wish I could award negative stars.

This wasn't a bad continuation of the series, and it was exciting getting to be back with Kipexo and Ethan. However this books is about freaking ALIENS, why does every Alien species need to be human impregnable?! LIKE SERIOUSLY!?!?! Why? Why was that a necessity to have that in a perfectly good series - oh that's right, it wasn't! The author just threw it in because reasons. So that's why I rated a perfectly decent read 3 stars, because of the sheer unnecessary foreshadowing of MPreg Aliens. Families can happily consist of 2 people, and it infuriates me that it's insinuated it's not a complete for happy family unless there are kids involved, and god forbid they're happy as is... let's add kids... ugh. Frustrating. I read gay erotica for a reason, and avoid Mpreg for a reason!! If you want to make this Mpreg, then by all means LABEL it as such and give us a heads up for those of us that dislike it so that way we don't get invested and then slapped in the face with it in the end.

So Good!

I’m going to be honest, the steam wasn’t exactly my cup of tea. The story drew me in though. I loved book one because of the whole human pet rescue situation and now I’m invested in this story. I need to find out what happens with these poor humans and the aliens helping them! I hope there’s a book 3 in the works

_______

Not the last book in the series.

I had so many issues with this one. We are following Ethan but it is still written in the third person, so sometimes it may be from someone else's point of view? There is a scene where Ethan's hearing aids are off but we still hear Kipexo talk. We also know a lot of things Kipexo thinks. Or Golpre or any number of other characters.

I also don't really like Ethan. Or any of the humans, really. Other than Ethan everyone is just a prop, and even he has no real depth. He likes to be dominated and wants the humans to go back to Earth. Aaaand that's all he has going for him.

The story itself while not inventive wasn't bad, but again, those who have zero affinity anything technology related, shouldn't write sci-fi. After a spacesip leaves the gravity well of a planet, there is no more lurching and wobbling. Either there is zero grvity or artificial gravity but the actual movment of the ship shouldn't affect the people inside. Also history issues. There is a prehistoric city under the one they are living in? Because they came up from underground and decided not to utilize the already existing infratructure, let's just build new ones. Also, aliens were FAR more technologically advanced than humans. They also have longer life spans. Adding these two together would mean that their prehistoric era was so long ago, that nothing should have remained of it. (we don't even really have intact building from 2000 years ago, not to mention way before that.

So yeah, lot of issues. Had to struggle to reach the end.

Science fiction romance, human/alien pairing, size difference, BDSM/kink, disability representation (hearing impairment), not a standalone book.

Ethan and Kipexo's story continues on from the first book, Rescue, this time from Ethan's point of view. The large group of runaway humans are trying to find a way back to Earth. When their hideout is discovered, Kipexo helps them make their way to the next location but it requires a long journey below ground where all manner of dangerous beasts roam.

Ethan and Kipexo (as well as their two Raugon allies) have a difficult path ahead. They must gather sufficient evidence to present to the Veil about the HRRA's forced transportation of humans from Earth to Raug and ensure that this practice does not continue in the future. They also need to find a safe means of travel for those runaway humans who want return to Earth.

This book was more action-packed than the first book and ended on another cliffhanger. It did feel like the story was dragging on at some points and the dialogue was a bit cringeworthy at times so I did not find it as enjoyable as the previous book.

Finally, the queer science fiction we've all wanted!

I am loving this series. The first book has some dubious consent and a power imbalance in the romantic relationship, but in this book, Kipexo shows just how much he views Ethan as his equal and his denmate. Lots of sweet romantic moments, but also plenty more steam. These two are seriously hot together. The first book dropped a bit of a bombshell revelation right at the end and that plot continues into the second book. There's a bit of an "adventure" in this book, with a touch of spooky sci fi atmosphere, and I loved every bit of it. We get more on page time with side characters from the first book as well as meeting some new ones. The pacing in this book was great and the plot kept my interest the whole time. This book also ends on a HFN cliffhanger and I can't wait to see what happens next!

That cliffhanger! Are you F*king kidding me?!?!

This entire book I was on the edge of my seat. I knew foul shit was going to go down but not what or when and it kept me on eggshells. Then when we FINALLY get the action there's a cliffhanger.

It was on me. My mistake, my bad. I assumed this was a duet. It's not. the author clearly states this is a series. Books 1&2 came out in 2021 so I can only hope that more books will be dropping in 2022.

I love this story. We now have multiple couples that you want to devour. Ethan and Kip (yeah I shortened his name). The love and devotion they have for one another is that of envy. Ethan's struggle with anxiety and grief is emotional. His love for his sister and Kip's support through it all is just so commendable.

I am very happy this was my first book of the new year and I look forward to the rest of the series.

Love it. Great twists and turns. Was sad that they had to prove themselves in order to be trusted, but understandable with the situation and with Sam their master betrayed his utter trust and took away from the subspace from them and that is all kinds of wrong you just don't do that to any sub you have in your care. I'm glad Andrew was able to make it even though he had to do something that is horrible but he saved his daughter and I hope he is able to get help. But with our main characters I hope they have kids of their own. I hope they find a friendly planet to land on so they can get the repairs needed in order to get to earth. Can't wait to read the last one, and as always keep up the wonderfully great work.

Fantastic sequel

Omg! I'm so completely enthralled with these books. This book picks up right where the first one ends and continues the saga of the kidnapped humans. Ethan is such a wonderful character and the introduction of some new faces was surprising and exciting. I'm a little in love with sweet Sam and can't wait to see what happens next. Of course, this book ends on a cliffhanger and I'm going to be on pins and needles waiting for the next installment. The action and adventure is thrilling, the world building and character development extremely complex, and the heat factor is definitely 🔥🔥🔥! I highly recommend this series!

A fun continuation of an imaginative series. Kipexo gets more endearing and heroic as the series goes on, and Ethan is more stretched....

Wasn't expecting the cliffhanger but that isn't a dealbreaker for me. I'll just wait and get the next one! Lots (and lots) of sexy times. I know some reviewers have been affronted by the amount of sex and the four typos, which I didn't notice until they kindly pointed them out and may have actually been rectified by now) I would say, forget what anyone else has said (including me) and read it. It's fun, it's light, there are some dark themes but it's all blue hunky alien fun. Make up your own mind and don't be a sheeple!

Lots of action but missed world building opportunity….

The second half of Kipexo’s and Ethan’s story is full of action and adrenaline. It was nice to see Kipexo in his element as a trained soldier. These two, as always, brought the spice! I wish the action had been more spread out, the chapters that had danger were awesome! I also wish they would have stepped outside of the city’s walls and more world building had been done that way. Overall, a good read and I will read book three.

Worth the wait

Ever since I read the wonderful RESCUE, I’ve been eagerly waiting for the sequel. This did not disappoint.

I don’t want to give any spoilers, so I’ll just say that Ethan and Kipexo are the cutest.

It was great to read a BDSM relationship written so sensitively, with consent, trust and respect always centred. Add a gripping storyline outside the bedroom, and this is a real winner.

The 2nd book in the series with Ethan & Kespixo was so good. This book has much more action as they try to rescue the earthlings. The sex is even hotter as Ethan & his Denmate explore more BDSM. The only negative is that when I started this series I had no idea the books ended on cliffhangers as I usually wait until a whole series is out. Apparently there’s still 2 more books to come. I live that the story is action packed while full of steam & characters that you will fall in love with

Surrender continues the journey.

Where Rescue, book 1, was an introduction and a backstory to our main characters, Surrender was the continuation their story in their fight for justice. I thoroughly enjoyed of Ethan and Kipexo's story so far and where I thought it might be coming to a conclusion, awe twisty. Now I bide my time waiting for book 3 and hopefully a happy ever after and maybe a family 🥰

Another cliffhanger but a good story

The Veil makes me so angry! They say they want to help and protect humans but punish everyone who does. It's crazy. There is no understanding as to why the humans would want to runaway or would hurt others in defense of themselves. This book ends on another cliffhanger so now so wait for the third installment

With spice, runaways, uncovering further evidence against HRRA, and a threat from an old enemy, this was a enjoyable installment. It was nice to have the point of view Switch, Seeing how Ethan felt of Raug and Kipexo helped flush out the couple, their trials as they work to help the runaways even more so. Ending in a Cliffhanger and a prayer, I look forward to to the final installment.

Another great read!

Love this series!!!

Kipexo is one of my favorite character developments in any series I’ve read. In two book he has come SO far and his relationship with Ethan is what dreams are made of. Such a fresh series, I’m in love!

So good

This story just keeps getting better and better. I'm not much for romance books that follow the same coupke thru the whole series. As I'm usually more invested in the couple vs the actual plot but this one has me invested in both. Can't wait for book 3.

But here's why...

I couldn't wait to read this one. I'm so enthralled by the world this author is creating💞 I am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series🙂

I recommend this book to anyone who's wondered what it might be like to find an alien lover despite bad events. 👀

This book is good, very good. But it ends on a cliffhanger and there's no sign of a third book even though it's been a year since the release of this one. I thought everything would be resolved and didn't realize it's a ongoing (discontinued?) series 😭
