Book 3 in the Feral Children series The tribe had a far distance to travel and the undead weren't their only enemies. The hyena hunted them relentlessly, unscrupulous men wanted what they had and even Mother Nature seemed to be against them. Even if they made it, could they put away their weapons, leave their animals behind and go back to school? Could they go back to being children or had they been too long in the wild?
'Nomads' is sadly the final book in the Feral Children series. This is an exceptionally clever and exciting series which I thoroughly enjoyed. Zombie zoo animals, feral children, and lots of action - perfection. Eric A. Shelman rocked it as the series narrator and really brought all the characters to life with supreme individual voices.
As always I got sad that the story had to end. Will they make it to Texas? Will the three little ones join them when they get bigger? Always questions that need answers. Thank you David A. Simpson and Wesley R. Norris for sharing thus story with us.
And extraordinary conclusion to an epic journey through the apocalypse.
And extraordinary conclusion to an epic journey through the zombie apocalypse. A great cast of characters and an action packed storyline. The feral children on the last leg of the journey to reach Lakota. A possibility of getting back to some kind of normality. Follow along on their journey as they fight through zombies evil people and life in the apocalypse. Battle worn tired and getting closer day by day. Find out what happens and see if they reach their destination. Find out if they do will it be all they hoped for. Will they all make it. Will all the animals make it. You must read on to find out. While the story is extraordinary. It is sad that this is the final book in the trilogy. The journey is over one way or the other. Unless it isn’t. You never Cantel in a world of zombies. Meet a few new characters. And find out. Hard to put down once you start. Enjoy.
This was good but had some inconsistencies. The kids and animals were amazing. What happened to the reset? No more was mentioned about Jessie and the Anubis Group. Just seemed to try too hard to make a world. One big inconsistency was the hyena bite on Swans hand. Supposedly she had a virus-like illness. I hate when things that are too good to be true. I kept thinking is the author going to make this Paranormal by throwing in a Alien? I didn’t understand the point of Steve in the story. Once again the time jump where Kodiak is remembering then we experience the story. I don’t like when authors try to do the “it/in” thing. It didn’t serve the story. All it did was make me Agee like the hammer was about to drop. That’s annoying.. Just do better this is a great story. I would read another story about these kids. About what happens in Texas.
The wait for this third installment of The Feral Children series was long but the story is well worth the time I spent anticipating it’s publication. I love the tribe and I sincerely hope a new series will begin from adventures somewhere in Texas or wherever they go next. I highly recommend the entire series plus all Zombie Roads books! They blend together and all are awesome!
The gang is heading to Lakota but some people with evil in their hearts, Mother Nature and other obstacles stand in their way. This is the last book in the trilogy and it was a satisfying conclusion to an emotionally charged, character driven tale of young children adapting to the world around them. I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves the horror/zombie genres.
Gosh darnit Mr Norris and David! You guys really wrapped this one up! Without giving up too much, I hope, I love how things have tied together. I am a fan of Zombie Road also.... These poor kids, my poor Mama heart goes out for them. I do hope we get to hear more about them! Hear our plea!!!!
Finally, the book i have been waiting for came out. I have loved this series from the first page in book one and the final book is fantastic. Will recomend this series for everybody. Great read🤩
The tribe fights through more zombies and hardships on their way to Lakota. Bad men are not absent from their path either. I will genuinely miss these young people. I hope they pop back up from time to time.
I took my time Reading this, to prolonge the end. I really like this universe and the writer surely deserves a place in Walhalla, But not after writing a load of stories first.
Didn't like hearing this was the last one in series. But still a wonderful story about resilience of young people and remarkable animals. Forget the zombies, man is still top predator! Wanted to know more about Rye. I need a hero like him.
This book wraps up the Feral Children storyline, the original Zombie Road series, and promises another spin off. That's a lot to ask of one volume, and it delivers. More than once it left me misty-eyed, I have to admit. Very well done.
Boy, I was all kinds of mad when I read the first page. Otis, dead? Good thing that wasn’t the case...lol. The trek to Lakota was long, hard, and filled with peril. So many injuries, so many surprises. I am so glad I found this series. It has been a great tale.
What happened to the skinny cow they rescued? I can't recall. Love this series and despite some typoes and the disappearance (could be i forgot) of the cow the books are awesome.
I'm very stingy with my 5 start ratings but thus series earned it! I'm going to miss the children warriors and their animal companions! I know this is the end of this series, but maybe there's more stories to be told. One can hope!
Best series ever! What a wonderful story! This series should be made into movies..kids and adults would love it....along with the Zombie Road series! Just want to hear more about this wonderful tribe!
I have enjoyed this series from the moment I read the first chapter of Zombie Road. The feral children were a fun sidebar to a great series and I enjoyed every chapter.
I wish this weren't the end but so thankful the story was continued for three books. I'm really hoping we get to see more of the feral children. Awesome series.
