Jamie was in town to help celebrate Fourth of July with Bee and Ruby, and of course it wouldn't be complete without a murder to investigate. It was a crazy case with the bakers at their sleuthing best as always. I started suspecting whodunit a little later in the book. The showdown was a good one, and even Jamie was proud of Ruby. I hope he was able to stick around and at least enjoy some of the summer with Ruby instead of being involved in a case! Looking forward to borrowing the next on KU when it's out!
This was a fun, bite-sized 4th of July themed mystery. This series is written in such a way that you can jump in at any point. I read the first few books in this series recently and then jumped ahead to this one. I didn't feel lost or confused. The only big changes are in location and some minor character development. Just as in the previous entries, the mystery is wrapped up in this book and the reader is not left hanging.
Part of me wanted to see more character growth and development this deep into the series. On the other hand, I think there are a lot of readers who will find a lot of comfort in continually returning to these familiar characters where things aren't constantly changing. I think for a lot of cozy readers, the different locations and new characters will be enough change. This is not a series that seems to have an overarching mystery carried out over the entire series. If that is what you want, you might be left wanting here. Otherwise, this is another light and fun addition to Rosie A. Point's rapidly growing backlist.
I also couldn't help but notice that the writing is stronger here compared to earlier works from Rosie A. Point. Overall, I am really enjoying her books and I am looking forward to reading more.

Ruby Holmes and Beatrice "Bee" Pine who own the Bite-sized Bakery Food Truck have spent almost all night baking 300 red, white 'n blue cupcakes that would be served at the Fourth of July parade in Yesterday.
When Diamond the Yesterday Radish Beauty Pageant Queen is murdered and the megalomaniac, arrogant, controlling Detective Pope plans to cancel the Fourth of July celebrations Ruby and Bee need to step in with the help from Jamie, Ruby's handsome ex-cop boyfriend, they have only 2 days to solve the murder and save the Fourth of July parade and the celebrations.
Is the murderer the runner-up in the beauty pageant or another of her jealous rivals?
This is a fun and light heart cozy mystery with likable characters. I really enjoy this book, it's a fast-paced story line that keeps you entertained as you try to figure out who is the murderer and why. I would recommend this book to any cozy mystery fans. It is very entertaining and I am looking forward to read the next books in the series

Total personality opposites, partners Bee and Ruby decided to stay with their food truck a little extra time in the town of Yesterday to celebrate the 4th of July. They make hundreds of red, white and blue cupcakes to sell and Ruby's boyfriend Jamie has joined them. While storing their cupcakes in the high school refrigerators, there is a scream from the practice field where the band and parade participants are practicing. It appears the Radish Queen has been murdered. And now, the straight laced obnoxious detective decided to cancel the 4th of July parade and festivities. Well with feisty Bee and calmer Ruby that is not to be. They decided they have to investigate and they only have one day to save the parade and festivities! And this time, Jamie has agreed to help them. With lots of rumors and circumstantial evidence, who is the murderer. Lot of twists and turns and a little humor and we are taken along an investigative trail. Will it be in time? I love this series and highly recommend it to everyone! I received and ARC but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.
Ruby and Bee are joined by Jamie to celebrate Yesterday’s 4th of July. They were asked to cater the celebration by making red, white, ‘n blue cupcakes. Things go terrible wrong when the Radish Queen is murdered. Join Ruby, Bee and Jamie as they uncover clues and investigate the murder since the new detective is threatening to cancel the parade and the celebration. This was an enjoyable read. The plot and characters were well-written, making you feel like you are friends. This was a perfect cozy mystery with just the perfect amount of humor, mystery, intrigue, quirky characters, and adventure that will keep any reader completely engaged.

Another great addition to the Bite-sized Bakery Cozy Mystery series! What a wonderful premise for a series - 2 very different woman traveling around to small towns in the Northeast, driving a food truck. Ruby drives and is younger and sweeter; Bee bakes and is older and feistier! They are the best of friends and love doing what they are doing. They pick a nice little town and stay there for a few weeks and sell pastries. This book has a not-very popular beauty queen murdered. The ladies want to save the town’s 4th of July celebration from being cancelled, so they start investigating to try and solve the case I 48 hours, since the local authorities don’t seem to be moving fast enough. If you like fast-paced, easy-to-read cozies, then this is the aeries for you!
Ruby and Bee have been invited to cater the 4th of July celebration with their red, white, and blue cupcake creations. But the day before the parade, the very worst possibility happens. Two girls found the body of Diamond Rochester, Yesterday’s Radish Queen who is supposed to ride the silver tractor float and wave to the crowd. She had been murdered!
Grumpy Detective Pope will take joy in shutting down the celebration which would mean disposing of the 300 cupcakes they had baked already just for the celebration. Could Ruby and Bee possibly solve the murder in a day so that the event could go on? With Jaime there to visit Ruby, maybe the three of them can do this! Will they find the murderer before the Detective Pope closes down the parade?
It is the 4th of July in Yesterday. Ruby and Bee are scrambling to make hundreds of cupcakes in the middle of a scorching heat wave. They are storing the cupcakes in the high school lunchroom refrigerator. While working they sees police cars come into the school parking lot and go see what happened. Two students found the body of Diamond Rochester the Radish Beauty Queen. Ruby, Bee and Jamie investigate the murder and find the killer has a twisted motive for killing Diamond.

Rosie Point does it again. This series is amazing and I can't wait to read more. Ruby and Bee are joined by Jamie to celebrate the fourth or July in the town of yesterday but as they are making the cup cakes for the festival the police pull in to the school and they find out the radish queen has been murdered and if they don't solve the case the festival will be cancelled and they lose money with all the cup cakes they have made. Another great book in this series. I recommend to everyone I know.

Red, White ‘n Blue Murder is the 20th book in the Bite-sized Bakery Cozy Mystery series by Rosie A. Point.
This is the first book I’ve read in the series and I was able to read it as a standalone book.
This was a fun, quick read. Ruby and Bee were busy baking hundreds of cupcakes for the 4th of July celebration when a murder jeopardizes everything. They have to scramble to try to solve the murder and get the celebration back on track.
I received an Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Love Ruby and Bee in Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow and even more so when it is perfectly timed. Appropriately set 4th of July cozy read on the 4th of July just made it more special. When Yesterday's parade and festivities are in jeopardy as another murder occurs, it is up to Ruby and Bee with Jamie's encouragement to solve it in one day in order to save the festivities.

A murder threatens to close down the small town of Yesterday and cancel all 4th of July festivities. Ruby and Bee have a lot of holiday cupcakes on the line and are determined to find the killer so the show can go on. This is a cleverly crafted little who-done-it and I did not guess the identity of the killer. It was an enjoyable read and I’m looking forward to future installments. I received this book free and chose to make a voluntary, unbiased review.
Ruby and Bee are hard at work baking cupcakes for Yesterday’s 4th of July celebration. When they find out about the murder of the Radish Queen and that the new detective is planning to shut down all the festivities, Ruby and Bee jump into action. They quickly solve the murder and the celebrations go on! No, I didn’t figure out who did it! I received an advance copy of this book from the author, however, I voluntarily wrote an honest review. A very enjoyable and entertaining mystery by Rosie A Point which I could not put down. Ruby and Bee are excited. They have made over 300 cupcakes for the 4th of July celebration. The Sheriff cancels all events as a teen beauty queen is murdered. Ruby and Bee are on a deadline. The celebrations must go on. Do they save the day by finding the murderer? Too many suspects and very little time.
Poor Ruby, Bee and the folks at Yesterday can't get a break. It is hotter than Hades, and now with a murder, the July 4th celebration has been canceled! Ruby and Bee worked really hard at getting Bee's new creation of red, white, and blue cupcakes done before the parade, but all that was for not. Who would want to kill the Radish Beauty Queen? There are a few suspects, but the real killer will surprise you. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Another good entry in the bite-sized bakery series. It’s the 4th of July and Ruby and Bee are making 500 red, white and blue cupcakes for the annual parade. That is until the parade is cancelled because the local beauty queen is murdered. I’m f course Ruby and Bee are on the case and think they know who the murderer was but it turns out it wasn’t who they think it was but they still manage to apprehend the killer. Looking forward to their next adventure.
