Hindsight: How God Moves in Every Circumstance

This is not your typical devotional. But then again, I do not do typical. Most people don't have a lot of time to read. Plus, we tend to lose focus if we read for too long. I wrote this collection of 52 short stories with that in mind. You can take only 10 to 15 minutes a week to hopefully help you focus on God and set your direction for the week. Or you can read it through during the week to reflect. The devotional is full of humor and at times deep sadness. But isn't that what life is full of? The truth is that God is not surprised by any circumstance in our lives and is there in every moment. He is laughing with us in the fun times and weeping in the sad times. Hindsight was not a working title as I was writing but was the only sensible name I could give the book after reading and editing it. We have to look back at our life and see where God was faithful so we that we can be assured that he will continue to be faithful in our present and future.Many devotionals that I have read through the years have been good but usually somewhere along the way get “preachy” or “dry”. I have attempted and I hope accomplished keeping this work a fun but thoughtful read. These are all true stories from my life, some stories are funny, and some are painful but each one has helped me in the writing to learn a valuable lesson that God has sought to teach me. My prayer is that you, the reader will glean some wisdom from my past. Sadly, I have often made the same mistake multiple times and by no means have arrived at a spiritual level of any of my heroes, but I have made it to this point in my life by learning lessons from those who have gone before me.

Wonderful and thought provoking

Ted’s book was filled with wonderful stories of his childhood and adult years, but stories that made you stop and think and reflect on your own life. Highly recommend this book!!!
