Albus Dumbledore watched two visionaries start as driven, powerful, brilliant young men, and become monsters. He has no heir, no protégé of equal power to step in should another one rise, and he is old. So when he hears of a Chosen One with power the Dark Lord knows not, he thinks maybe he doesn’t want this boy prophesied to defeat Lord Voldemort to grow up in the Wizarding world. He thinks of the bonds of family, and the opportunity he has to shape his world’s politics, and of a corrupt magical elite who’ve signed on with two Dark Lords over hatred of Muggles. He thinks Harry Potter should grow up loved by his family, and Voldemort be destroyed so there is no need for Harry to ever realise his power, and he acts to make both of those things happen. Because he’s Dumbledore and what he wants, he gets.

This is good! (Though it starts a little weird.) The Voldemort problem solved, a Hogwarts after a temprary eight-year absence of Dumbledore with more teachers, a Harry who grows up… not very nicely, and finds his way.

Now I wish for a sequel… the author is now orphan_account at AO3, so that’s going to be hard to track down, if it even exists… as do their other stories…

Rough start with unrealistic depiction of very young Harry but gets good from the Ch.2

AU donde Voldy ya no es problema, fue vencido por Lily y Harry y blah, y Dumbles en realidad viajo y se deshizo de los horcruxes antes de que Harry llegara a Hogwarts, pero fue este dejado por su tia en un orfanato catolico donde actua mas como Tom Riddle que nada y es Slytherin por defecto donde todo el bias es peor hacia los slytherins con Voldy vencido y sus fortunas requisadas y muchos en Azkaba,. La idea es que sea politico, pero la primer aentrega sigue todo los plots del chico frio y sin sentimeintos y un Dumbles manipulador. No pasa mucho mas que su alianza con Nott.

There are two books in this series (even though there should be seven). It's been abandoned, but it's still definitely worth reading.
