Inbetween is a beautifully written, introspective book of poetry somewhere between the works of Atticus and Rupi Kaur. It is raw and vulnerable in a way that invites readers to also be and speaks such purposeful truth into our collective and individual human hurts and experiences. I really enjoyed the way the poems flowed almost as a stream of conscious, giving voice to the thoughts and feelings that make us uniquely human.
Hope is one of my absolute favorite writers. Her poems are beautiful woven but not difficult to understand; I find them very relatable. I didn't think I could love a book more than her first book, Conversations with the Universe, but WOW was I wrong! The inbetween absolutely blew me away. My book is all dog-eared from the pieces I want to come back to.
