If you asked who Reid Hurst truly is, then I’m sure you’d get different contradictory opinions.
Is he just another cocky jock, or is he the well-mannered son of a prestigious senator?
Is he the second half of Pembroke High’s newest golden couple, or is he the son of a murderer?
He’s all of the above, I’m afraid.
But to me, he’s so much more than that.
I know Reid, the real Reid, even if the world around us only knows these facets of him.
He’s the secret love I’ve hidden away from everyone we know—friend and foe alike.
But while the restless boy I have given my heart to battles his demons, I have monsters of my own threatening to bang down my door and swallow me whole.
Sooner or later, they’ll catch me.
It’s only a matter of time.
The only thing that remains to be seen is who will inflict the most pain on my soul.
My monsters or his.

This is a secret-lovers contemporary romance, full-length novel.
Recommended 18+ due to mature language, sensitive content, and adult situations.

Ivy Fox is a USA Today bestselling author who thrives on angst, yearning, and the kind of soul-crushing tension that keeps readers up way past their bedtime.

When she’s not unleashing emotional devastation on the page, Ivy lives a pretty chill life with her two favorite men—her husband and her son.

This series! Such a page turner.

I've met Maya and Reid in Ruthless and even than I've wished for a book of their own. Maya sounded intruiging but Reid sounded mysterious to the bones, and so very haunted.

Maya and Reid come from completely different worlds. She's from the other side of the town and in the eyes of The Privileged of Pembroke High kids unworthy of... you can pretty much fill in the blanks with anything. He comes from a rich family who's trying to get even richer. His father has it all maped out for him and Maya isn't a part of it.

Yet they can't help but feel attraction to each other. They fall hard, but can their relationship last with everything standing in between them?

“How could you break my heart like this?” he asks with solemn grief, tainting each word.
“You broke mine first.”

I recomend this book to anyone who loves reading about total opposties that are so infatuated with each other they are willing to sacrifice everything in their life, even when the road to get there is an emotional one and so very painful.

We can always count on Ivy to bring the emotion and the angst but this book was seriously next level. Maya and Reid’s love story is messy and tumultuous but it’s also raw and real and simply beautiful.

We got glimpses of Reid in previous books in the series but we didn’t know much. I loved getting to know Reid while reading Restless, even though I wanted to grab him and shake him silly at times. But he also had me in tears with his swoony romancing of Maya. And Maya, this girl is tough as nails. She is a true survivor, and her bravery and strength helps her endure all of the hard knocks thrown her way.

I really loved seeing characters from previous books and it’s making me want to go back and reread the entire series again! While technically you can read Restless as a standalone I do suggest starting with Heartless to have the best understanding of this world and the characters.

Restless is a terrific final chapter of a truly captivating series. I’m sad to say goodbye to these characters but I know I’ll be rereading this series again!

I can not believe the final story of Pembroke High is over. And boy what a bang it went out on. Maya and Reid’s story was briefly mentioned in Fearless. This was another rollercoaster written by Ivy. You feel all the emotions at the turn of each page. Maya comes from a very rough background. Parents are into the wrong things and she’s the girl from the wrong side of the tracks. Reid is the complete opposite. From a well known popular family. Wealthy and where names mean more to them than being a good person. The twists and turns and emotions scattered on every page were perfect. This was the best way to end this saga. **you do not have to read the prior 5 books to read this one, however, it helps because many characters make cameos throughout! Ivy created an incredible series, I am so excited to see what she has in store for us next!

Reid and Maya’s story was everything I hoped it would be! Ivy Fox knows how to write love stories that are emotional and passionate and that’s what we get here . This story was emotional it was passionate intense heartbreaking sweet and steamy my heart hurt so much for these two you could feel all the emotions Reid’s longing and hopelessness and his desire for Maya and you could feel Maya’s love for Reid but also her heartbreak her feelings of not belonging this was a messy but beautiful journey and I loved every word of it definitely a must read and one I highly recommend !

Everything Ivy Fox writes is magic and this series has been perfection. I’m so sad to see it end, but what an amazing ending it was. Reid and Maya and their secret love had me hooked immediately. The family influences and demands on these two are too much for anyone to take. But, when these two connect... it’s everything wonderful. Thank you for another incredible story Ms. Fox.

Really enjoyed this "hidden" love story romance! For Reid, its really love at first sight and he hated hiding his feelings for Maya. Maya was such a sympathetic heroine and I really loved her spirit. These two have so many obstacles in their way which made for a lot of angst. And the steam level was high in this one! I will say that I wanted to shake Reid a couple times when he allowed things to happen to Maya but he finally stepped up his game. And the HEA was totally worth it!

Having read the two previous installments in this series I've been looking so forward to more! I added this one to my tbr list right away and got into it as soon as I could. I so enjoyed this sixth installment!

Maya and Reid's journey quickly got my attention. It wasn't easy. I wasn't sure how everything was going to play out with these two. I really enjoyed how I felt many emotions throughout with these two.

With Restless, Ms.Fox had created such a good read that made me feel so much! Looking forward to more from her!

Restless is exactly how Reid Hurst has felt his entire life, controlled by his father, manipulated by his older sister and just completely done with the high society life he was born into. Full to the brim with drama galore, teenage girl bullying and angst and my heart ached for the trials and tests these characters had to face but seeing them overcome them made me feel like a proud mum.

Move over girls, it’s time for Maya to have her say! Ever since I met Maya in Elle’s books and the little hints we got about her just drew me in immediately. Maya is the opposite of Reid, junkie parents, growing up in poverty and in the East River Projects she’s lucky to be alive every single day. Her life has been tough, but that has made her in to the resilient and determined girl that she is no matter what curveballs are thrown her way. Aspiring writer, her dreams are bigger than anything, her innocence, imagination and creativity just brighten everyone’s day and she’s such a romantic. Maya is like a fish out of water, she's so different to the girls at pembroke and just felt so real that I was able to connect with her on a deeper level.

Reid Hurst is a coward, he had me raging and hurling obscenities at him one minute and then wanting to give him a hug in the next second. I just wanted to scream at him when Addison was manipulating him, his blind devotion of his sister was so infuriating. Putting her up so high on a pedestal it was impossible for him to see the truth. His moments with Maya however were my favourite parts, until it got to around 80%. However, there were alot to times I just wanted to shake him, when he was whining about his life and I honestly don’t think I can hear anyone say it's complicated ever again.

Saint’s friendship with Maya is one of my favourite parts of the book, this gruff, blunt bad boy from the projects showing his vulnerable, soft side and protecting Maya like his own sister just had my heart melting for him.

I am honestly so gutted that this series is over and I have to say goodbye to these amazing characters and this incredible world this author had created. Being a six book series with different leading fmc’s meant that this has been a large part of my life recently and it feels like I’m cutting of a limb saying goodbye to it. Truly emotional and heartbreakingly good well worth the read!

When you're the senator's son there is a certain standard that you are expected to live up to... but for Reid it's more than that. His life is all planned out for him, where he will go to school, who he will marry, and of course where he will start his career too. His father isn't an easy man to live with and every day he reminds Reid of the rules in place and what is expected of him... and the consequences he will face if he doesn't tow the line. But Reid is growing tired of towing the line, jumping when his father says jump, and he's just about worked up the nerve to say no and do what he wants for a change. Full well knowing it'll cost him everything!

The moment he meets Maya he knows she's different, the kind of girl he could have something real with, but with his reputation preceding him it may be hard to convince her to give him a chance. But it's a fight he plans to win!

Between the pages of Restless lies the story of a couple that share a love so deep that it will never be lost... a love that only they know about. They are each other's dirty little secret, they meet in secret, share stolen moments, and then go back to their lives as if nothing ever happened. They'd love nothing more than to be together out in the open, but doing so would derail everything in Reid's life. Reid's life is complicated and with his father's expectations he knows what he is supposed to be doing, but having anything to do with the girl that his father chose for him makes his skin crawl. He's stuck in an impossible situation, one I was certain he would never survive!

From the get-go these two had me captivated and fully invested in everything they had to say. Both wounded souls in desperate need of a little reprieve from the horrible circumstances they had to call their lives. But together you could see the possibilities that awaited them, and it gave me hope they might be able to outrun their demons and find their way. It was such an engaging story, I couldn't take my eyes away from the words once I found them. It was one heck of a first time read, one that will stick with me for quite a while! Highly recommend!!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

I am sad. Not because of Restless but because this is the last book in this series I have loved ready. Ivy Fox just takes you on such magical journeys with her book and I just never want them to end. This is the story of Maya and Reed. Maya is a girl who comes from a very rough upbringing. Her parents are in to all the wrong things and they didn't give Maya a very good life at all. She is definitely from the wrong side of the tracks. Reid however is the complete opposite. Born into a great family. Given the best life that two parents could give a child. He is after all the son of a senator and one half of the golden couple of the school. He comes from a family where your name means more than anything in this world. More than money, more than being a upstanding citizen and Reid does not let many people at all know the real him at all. But he does Maya and oh my goodness what a story this is for both of them. I thought it was so good you can't put it down. It broke my heart for them at times. It is an emotional rollercoaster that you never want to get off of. I loved every single second of this book. What a way to end the series but I can't say that I am not super sad that this is the end.

“‘Let me show you,’ he begs. ‘Let me show you just how beautiful you are to me.’”

i really enjoyed this book. i loved the storyline a lot. the book was too quick though and was definitely supposed to be a slow burn, but in my opinion it went a bit too fast. i didn’t get into this book fully until 45% ish, but after that i could not put the book down.

i think reid and maya’s relationship was very cute. i wish there wasn’t that many gaps where they just didn’t talk to each other. the ending of the book was my favorite part and i really want to know more about the saint-chad-elle situation.

reid’s family was just something. i never liked his sister and by the end i was just confused. i don’t know if she had a book before this but i’m kinda wondering what happened with her and the judge. also the part with holland, maybe i just missed when she was introduced or maybe she was from another one of the books but that kinda confused me.

overall this book was good and enjoyable. there are definitely some characters i want to know more about and will check out the other books to see if any are about them!

tropes in this book include: rich boy/poor girl, secret and forbidden romance, guy falls first, private school romance! i would definitely check the trigger warnings beforehand because even thought this is not a dark romance book, there are some scenes that are darker.

thank you to Wildfire Marketing for and ARC copy of this book 💚💚

This is the final story of the Prembrook Prep's story line. The Greyson's, Murphy's and now this is forbidden romance of Reid and Maya. Reid immediately noticing Maya before she and Santiago step into the school. In order to meet the new girl, he chats up with his friend Chad Murphy and Santiago. Maya and Reid become friends through texts and phone calls during their first year of school. Reid wanted to know more about the mysterious girl and not wanting to do what his father demanded of him. Keeping his arm length from Lacey Manning the daughter of a Pharmaceutical ceo. They have the money and clout Reid's father needs. I felt my heart ached for these two, Reid not knowing what to do. How to stand up to his father and be with the one he loves. And Maya, not having the confidence to stand up to her bullies. But there is so many obstacles in their lives, they have a plan but their plan is flipped upside down. Will Reid be able to provide he is deserving Maya's love and to be in her life. This story frustrated me , I think the end felt rushed and I didn’t want to see them go through anymore pain and frustration.

This is sixth and final book in the "Privileged of Pembroke High" series and time for Reid and Maya to truly shine, and that they do.

Maya is from a highly dysfunctional and troubled family, whilst Reids family is up there on a pedestal, but behind closed doors expectations and demands are heavy burdens to bear.

Can they ever be more than friends because of circumstances beyond their control?

I loved everything about this book, I really did! Maya is the kind of character you can't help but love. Her life isn't the best and you just want something to go right for her.

Reid is misunderstood, there's more to him than his surname if only others took the time to look.

The two of them deserve happiness and every page had me hoping that they found it together even when everything was stacked against them!

Ivy has done an amazing job with this book. I couldn't put it down as I wanted to know, and thus always needed just one more chapter of their story, until alas there were no more.

I have loved all the characters that took centre stage through this series and truly believe that Ivy Fox is a one click author through and through!

ARGH this book! Maya and Reid's story was a page turner from the very beginning. I'm not gonna give away too much of their story because it is worth the read. Reid is born with a silver spoon in his mouth and comes off as a cocky jerk. His father is a senator and Reid has to live up to his expectations and rules. Meaning Reid has no choice in how his life will turn out and is fighting his demons because of it. Maya loves Reid from afar and seems to be the one person who can see through his façade. When these two get together there are fireworks. They are truly soulmates and it actually hurt to see these two have to stay hidden in the shadows with their love.

There was so much packed into this book! I could not put it down and did not want to miss a minute of these two and their love. Lots of secrets, drama, love and a few sexy scenes drench these pages. I was sad to see it end!

Well, here it is the conclusion to Pembroke High. This book is Reid and Maya’s story. And it’s an epic roller coaster ride. Sometimes, you feel a little bit upset, sometimes you cry right along with the characters as they navigate their trials all throughout high school. You want to punch Maya’s bullies in the face. You want to slap Reid and tell him to grow the F up and stop being such an effing coward. Their epic love story is a tale of secrets and lies and forbidden romance. Developed almost solely on text messages and one shared English class, soon paved the way to stolen moments in a library. This book all takes place around the same time as Holland’s story, if you can recall the first three books in the series, which then makes way to Elle’s story and then coming full circle to Maya’s. This final book tells us the ending to everyone’s story and i could not imagine a better or more fitting way to end this series.

Ugh this book!!!! This is Maya and Reids story and was a page turner from the very first few pages. Im not gonna give away too much of their story because it is worth the read.

ARC Review

“We’re all empty here. No heart. No soul.”

It’s been a hot second since I’ve read a high school, secret-lovers romance and this one was exactly what I needed to get back into it.

“Life doesn’t always hand us a fair shake, not even in the end.”

There were so many times in this book where I was wanting to just throttle Reid because of the things he let happen. Yes, he felt bad and yes he didn’t have much of a choice in sticking up for Maya but dang it was rough to read.

“Maya needs a champion, not a coward, who refuses to fight for her.”

Maya, bless that girls heart, she deserves everything she wants. Heart of gold yet she gets thrown in with the wolves. No matter how many times they tried to tear her down she always stood back up though. She is definitely one of my favorite FMC!

Overall I really enjoyed this read. It had heart break, laughs, love, angst. Everything I could ever love in a book!

Restless - Maya and Reid's story is the last book in The Privileged of Pembroke High series and my goodness do these two go through a lot in it. They have a lot of obstacles in the way of them being together. Their upbringing, where they live, their families and their friends too.

Maya gains a scholarship at Pembroke High which she plans on using for the advantage that it is. Even more so with the rough life that she lives with daily. Whereas Reid seems to live the life of luxury but behind closed doors his life is anything but. Maya and Reid have an instant connection mainly because everyone (with the exception of a few) at Pembroke either have an agenda or hide behind veils of fakeness. These two characters certainly play with your emotions because you genuinely want them to get a HEA ending but outside influences seem to get in their way.

Ive loved reading every book in this series and this book was a cracking way to end it

This is one of those stories which had me enthralled from the very beginning, and after only meaning to read a few chapters, I ended up reading in one sitting. This is Reid and Maya’s journey. Reid is the cocky son of a prestigious senator, who is haunted by demons, but Maya who has secretly loved him, can see through the façade to the boy underneath. Maya has her own demons which are closing in on her, but will her and Reid’s forbidden romance survive the outcome? This is a well written flawless story which is an emotional roller coaster, with angst, secrets, intrigue, friendships, turmoil, conflict, suspense, family, undeniable chemistry, drama, and love, which leads to an entertaining and heartwrenching addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

TITLE: Restless
GENRE: Romance
AUTHOR: Ivy Fox
TROPE: High School, Secret Lovers
TYPE: Series (The Privileged of Pembroke High #6)
POV: Multiple POV
MY RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 5

Restless is the final chapter in the Privileged of Pembroke High series and centres around Maya and Reid. I was not totally in love with the somewhat spineless Reid throughout the series, but it was nice to see why he was the way he was in this final instalment. I enjoyed getting a more in-depth look at Maya's character, which I have been more curious about as the series continued. The end of the series does give you closure to all of the storylines. Overall I enjoyed the series and the angst that came with the journey. In the end, I even warmed up to Reid's character by the end of the book. All and all, a satisfying conclusion to the series.

First off, I love the story. It’s not your general happily ever after and really way a sad read. The story is full of emotion and you can’t help but root for Maya because her life was the short in the stick.

But being the last book in the series I just expected more. More of a wow factor especially in the ending. I adore the characters and feel for them but I think their love story should have been some where in the middle of the series. There really wasn’t a major ending for the entire series and this just feels like a book in the world of Pembrook instead of an ending to an epic series.

Overall an amazing read and I highly recommend this series because it has all kinds of love styles and romance and twists that keep coming out of left field. Emotionally charged a binge worthy good time.

When I first found out that Maia and Reid's story was the final book in the series I was looking forward to it, but after reading it I wouldn't say that I loved it, because of Reid he came across to me as someone who wouldn't have my back in a relationship, one who wouldn't stand up for me or choose me, but I wanted to give him a chance and as I read more of the story time and time again he let Maira down, and this girl deserved a champion as to what her home life was like, but I get why he had to be like that, because he had to grow a backbone and show her he was capable of being there for her, but to me he waited to long and don't get me wrong in the end I finally feel like he grew up and was ready to be her HEA.
Maia to me could never do no wrong this sweet girl has had to grow up fast due to her home life. She may have had a crappy home life, but this girl was tough and so talented. As your reading this story this girl is writing a story as she's wanting to be a writer and the story she's writing you get the jist of it being Historical vs reality and I absolutely loved that. A story inside a story...genius idea.

Would I recommend read yes I would, because while I didn't love it I did enjoy reading it and this whole series is one not to be missed.

4.5 stars for this intensely described meeting of star crossed lovers. Reminders of Romeo and Juliet come to mind, though very much of modern times. I am so relieved that they do not meet the fate of Shakespeare's lovers, but they have one heck of a minefield to pick through to reach for their happiness. Reid's unyielding, selfish , frankly, horrible father, sees his children as tools to be used for his own advancement. Maya's parents live on a totally different plane of existence. Maya has other battles to fight. Luckily she has some absolutely amazing friends!
Their secret attraction and affair is up against all these issues and the appalling behaviour of fellow school members...shudder.
Overall an excellent conclusion to this series and, without a doubt, I was rooting for this lovely couple from the start to finish. 💖💖💖💖💖

Reid was born rich and privileged but its not all as good as it seems. His senator father has Reids whole life mapped out to benefit himself.
Maya on the other hand, comes from the rough side of town and is at Pembroke High on scholarship.
These two are complete opposites but Reid is drawn to Maya from the first moment he sees her.
They start a secret relationship built on a friendship which started with texts and phone calls, then secret meetings in the school library.

Things are not easy though as they both have a lot of complications which threaten to destroy everything.

This is a great story that finishes of the series really well.
I especially enjoyed the story within a story that Maya is writing.
It's fantastic to read about a plus size heroine in a high school setting and I'd love to see more of this.
There are some amazing sexy and spicy scenes too! 🥵🔥

WOW! Maya and Reid’s story was an emotional journey of heartbreak, angst, drama, passion and love. I could not get enough of these two. Every step of the way they pulled on my heartstrings and had me either gushing with love or crying over their heartbreak. This was definitely a story of opposites attract as these two come from very different worlds, but their connection was undeniable, and their chemistry was explosive.

The raw emotions that played out on every page made for a truly captivating and beautiful story. With unforgettable characters that take us on a journey of acceptance and love while they fight for that love against all odds.

Such fantastic writing that just pulled me in from page one and made it very difficult to put the book down at the end. I loved every second of it.

The story we had been waiting for

I can’t decide if I am happy or sad that this series has finally come to an end. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the Privileged of Pembroke High series, Ivy Fox had me completely falling in love with the world and its characters.

I’m so happy we were finally able to experience the entirety of Reid and Maya‘s story. While we had seen glimpses throughout the other books, it was great to have a book focused on them. We know they had gone through a lot but were not able to understand the complex in and outs of their relationship. I love that they received the happily ever after that they more than deserved.

I loved being on this journey and reading this book let me experience some of what happened in the previous books again. Such a great series.

I had to know what happened with Maya after the news drop in Elle & Saint’s book and boy has she been through it. I hated that she was picked on for being a scholarship kid. As much as I liked Reid and how he could look past that, he was very sweet but he didn’t stick up for her against her bullys. He was loyal to his sister for far too long, even after everyone else knew the real Addy he still didn’t believe it. Reid & Maya were a very sweet loving couple when together but it was sad that he hid her while he had a public gf and Maya went along with it. But then he paid her parents debt and looked after her on lots of occassions. It was a confusing one.
They thankfully got their happy ending after their heartbreak but the reunion and epilogue came a bit too soon, I felt like the ending was over so quick.
All in all a good series and definately worth a read.

The Privileged of Pembroke High #6. Can you believe it! I can! When an author has hit their stride and the readers will follow, and the entertainment is so darn delicious, well….

And guess what here I am! Following! Reading! Loving the hours I get to spend with Ms. Fox's amazing characters.

It has been quite the journey! Filled with huge emotion, angst, love, turmoil, friendship, growth.

This is Reid and Maya's story. The secret love affair, as Reid's life has been planned for him by his senator dad! What century are they in! LOL

It's hard to do what's right for you at such a young age, but...

Let me tell you, once I picked this story up, I couldn't put it down! Lost hours of sleep, and I'm not sorry!

The End Of Pembroke High

This is the last book in The Privileged of Pembroke High series. This is Maya and Reid's story who we have met in previous books.

We all knew this wasn't going to be an easy love story, Reid is born into a rich family and Maya comes from a family who is the complete opposite. Reid's father is a senator and has Reids life mapped out for him and he doesn't get a say. While he plays along with his father's demands he is hurting Maya and she loves him from afar.

The chemistry between these two is real and even though they are young you could say they are soulmate's.

This book is full of heat, secrets, betrayal and a HEA. Another great book from Ivy.

I was super excited to finally read Maya and Reid’s story since seeing them as secondary characters in the previous books.
Maya and Reid are from completely different backgrounds but once Reid noticed her, he was obsessed. He wanted to know her and be her everything. But he couldn’t, not with his overpowering senator father in his life. So we see Maya and Reid have a secret relationship and how they fall in love. It was a cute story for sure, it was more of a quick read for me and a slowburn in spice.
I’m so sad the series is over now😭 but glad everyone had their happy ending in the whole series. 🖤💗🖤💗
⚠️There is a caution warning in beginning of book, so read that if you feel like you need to.🖤⚠️
