Whatever you do, don’t look back.

After learning the shocking truth behind the man she fell for, Blake feels lost at sea.
She feels adrift. And is punishing herself for not realizing who Mark was or his true motive by her side.

While trying to solve the secrets of her own personal life, FBI Agent Blake Wilder and her team are forced into action by Kathryn Hedlund, a woman who is the opposite of Blake in nearly every way.
Blake is appalled by the woman but is given no choice except to help find her daughter, who has gone missing.
Blake believes the spoiled rich girl is off on her own volition. But as the team starts digging into the disappearance, they start to uncover clues that suggest Hedlund’s daughter did not leave on her own. The team begins to realize that something far more sinister is occurring.

Their case takes them on a twisted ride that seems intent on giving the team whiplash. Just when they think they have a handle on things, it changes again, leaving them grasping for straws as they try to make sense of it all.

In her own personal life, Blake is coming under serious attack, when she suddenly suffers a loss that rocks her entire world. But as she copes with her grief, she gets the biggest surprise of her life...

They’re coming. Run. Run as fast as you can.

Best So Far

I was hooked from the first. So many twists and turns, even the ending, that I got dizzy. Quite a few shocks, too. As usual, can’t wait for the next one.

Murder. The undead. Irritating relatives.

When Riga Hayworth finds a dead body in the bedroom, it's par for the course. When the corpse drives off with her fiance... That's a problem.

This book is part of the Blake Wilder series I’m reading with a buddy! This series is great and can be read as a stand-alone, however, to get the full affect I recommend reading the series in order. Trust me they just keep getting better.

Fish – he’s been my favorite character for the last 3 books. He’s a bad guy with a soft side. He does what he needs to do to survive but he is fair and always reliable.

𝑺𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝑰 𝑳𝒊𝒌𝒆𝒅:
I love the shock aspect of this book. Some events were very shocking, but it kept me on my toes. The case investigated in this book touches on sensitive issues and it does a great job at showing you both sides of the issue. I also love that we take a huge leap forward into Blake Wilder’s personal case.

The way the case ends, it’s a very realistic ending, I just wish humans were better.

Overall, this book is a reminder that ppl can be cruel and self-interested. Although this book has its sad moments it’s a great story. Great mystery with a hint of suspense. This book leaves us wanting more, and had a great ending!

I really like Elle's work. I know she's self publishing so am not going to take any points away from her for the quirks that editing your own work will leave in place because who is perfect? She's a gifted author with a lot of talent.

Four stars only because of some procedural things I have trouble with. I thought as soon as Blake's team identified a hand off of the money from the "bleeder" to a third party, they'd simply stake out the bank and grab that guy up but instead they go through an unnecessary process to find the homeless veteran who they already figured was not their killer.

Still, Elle is an excellent writer with a great imagination and superb plotting skills, I really enjoy her work and will be reading everything she writes because of her talent and how readably compelling her stories are. Kudos to her as she's done this on her own as the books have been dropping once a month or so now for a while she's obviously been writing for quite some and suddenly found Vellum as a way to get many stories to we readers in short order. I wish her all the success she deserves and hope her works find a large audience. She's earned that.

This ending.....

## Well written crime drama with a dose of suspense and intrigue. I like Blake. She is a marvelous character. I like her best friend and partner Astra as well. They are both interesting and terrific investigators. SPOILERS: This book starts off with a bang and never lets up. I like following along with their investigation as they turn up clue after clue regarding the missing girls. And even though I didn't like the outcome of this crime, at least it CONCLUDED and the main guy ended up in jail. HOWEVER, the subplot is not a stand alone. I had no clue what was happening. In order to follow the subplot which was still not concluded, you must need to have read the other books prior to this one. So the ending to this book is perplexing to me. I have questions! Why is Chief Torres trying to frame Blake for murder? Who the heck IS Chief Torres? Who is this assassin called "the devil" that's trying to kill Blake? What is this group "Thirteen" that Blake mentions in regards to her parents? Where has her sister been all these years? Anyway, I guess the reason for this is to make us buy the next book?

Fantastic story

This is my first time reading this author and let me just say that she did a fabulous job with this story. These FBI agents aren't what you usually read about and I truly loved that Blake and Astra, both females are the main characters along with their team. I had a feeling about the doctor when they first interviewed him and I was right in my thinking. I think Haven could have been a good place for peace and easy living for people, except the greed and selling innocent children. The congresswoman is your typical greedy and self absorbed as you would imagine and sad that she even had a daughter that yes had many privileges, but no real love from her mother. She was all about status and also got a lot of innocent people killed by her revenge against her daughter. Happy reading.

Five stars! Very compelling story

This is the first Ella Gray novel that I've given 5 stars. It's not perfect, but I found it so engaging and compelling that I just had to rate it at 5. The story deals with a number of issues like crooked cops, sociopathic politicians, and equally sociopathic cult leaders. Oh, and traitorous boyfriends. At the same time the story continues to develop the likeable but often abrasive protagonist, Blake Wilder, and her circle of friends and associates - and the mystery of her missing sister. Great stuff!

I do have some editing issues, and also questions about the plausibility of certain actions - and inactions - of some characters. But these didn't detract significantly from the compelling story. Can't wait to read the next one in the series!

This is the 6th in the series and one of the best. Blake Wilder and her team are called in to take a high profile case of a missing woman. The missing girl is the daughter of a high ranking Senator. Not really wanting to take the case, Blake's team is forced to under some threats from the Senator.

Blake is still actively investigating clues that she is finding our concerning her parents murder, which everyone believes was a robbery gone bad. Blake is also keeping information she learned about her boyfriend secret to only a few trusted friends,

I hope the next one will be out soon because I am going to miss reading about this Team. Don't miss this series.

This is the 6th book in The Blake Wilder FBU series. When Congressman Hedlund comes in to the FBI office and wants Blake and her team to find her missing daughter Blake lets her know they don't investigate missing persons. Since the Congress woman was in the same club in college as Blake's boss she doesn't really have a choice as the Congress woman has some clout when it comes to the funds that keep the FBI and Blake's team going. When they start their investigation they find themselves immersed in more than just one missing woman and the Congress woman won't take no for an answer.
This one will keep you turning pages late into the night.

A thrilling series

This was a complex, suspenseful, and intriguing story that was not without heartbreak. There were a lot of twists and turns that certainly amped up the intensity of not only this story, but the ongoing secondary plot that has continued throughout this series. It's not a series that you'll want to miss.
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

On A Fling Or Kidnapped?

The team was working on a case when they were forced to let that one rest while they were trying to find the missing daughter of a Congresswoman. Blake wasn't thrilled but she did what was expected of the team and solved the case. The case was much more than what Blake expected. At the end her sister and Blake met. Good reading and I was surprised at how wide the story became.

Gray really turned it up a notch with this installment of the Blake Wilder series! Anything culty always has my vote, I love thrillers with the mysterious cult aspect added. AND THE ENDING! no spoilers here but I loved the ending. It was a serious cliff hanger and finally opened the door to the mystery of Blake’s missing sister. We’ve seen bits and pieces of Kit’s story but nothing concrete. I’m excited to see where her story heads in the next installment!

Left dangling here....

This is one heck of a series. So enjoying the proactive, strong willed female roles being portrayed. Glad to know what I have believed for a while now is proving to be true BUT unhappy that I have no idea how long I will have to wait until all the secrets and mysteries are exposed. Which is slightly disappointing.

Love this author.

Her best book so far! The characters are so likable and yet it’s so easy to feel the emotions of anger and frustration for the villains.
I chose this rating because of the storyline that is woven throughout the series.
I would recommend her books to my family and friends.

Coincidence

Blake's search for the killers of her parents and kidnappers of her sister is slowly moving forward. Her job as a SSA at the FBI keeps her tied in knots as she is given the fast of finding the daughter of a congresswoman. Many leads, twists and turns brought me to an unexpected ending of this book.

Oh boy! This is a good one!

In the last book, Blake seemed to be losing her sanity but this one has her back on track. Trying to find a Congresswoman’s missing daughter, Blake discovers more than can be imagined. She also feels the pressure of her personal circumstances closing in on her. Good all the way to the end, I can’t wait to start the next book.

Another Great Read…

Bingeing TV shows gained popularity during COVID and I have continued that bingeing habit reading of this Series! I can’t get enough of these adventures, Blake and the core characters are likable and continue to grow as the series develops. This one is ends but the questions are multiplied. Disappointed!

Robin went a bit far with this book. In this current atmosphere of the times, she goes as far to say preppers are sexist and racist. She writes how technology is great and should further in advancement. However, anyone who knows what is actually happening in this country, they know the cabal is tearing it apart using technology among many other things.

In my opinion this is the best one so far. I found there was more suspense. Some of the things in this book I could see as possible in this world. I find the political aspect of The Lost Girls real to life. There was a surprise at the end. I applaud that sense I don't get surprised in stories very often. I read on Kindle Unlimited.
