Bishop

My Las Vegas boutique hotel got lucky when it snagged one of the region’s top young pastry chefs. But my unlucky heart suffers a blow when I learn that the enchanting Cherise is engaged to another man. Is it wrong that I want to break them up? Probably. One thing that all my money can’t solve? It won’t help me steal Cherise away. But when her wedding plans fall apart, I take the opportunity to pull the strings. Someone has to keep an eye on her amidst all her undue wedding stress. Along the way, I can make damn sure she knows that any guy who isn’t her biggest fan isn’t worthy of her love.

Cherise

My position as a pastry chef at an up-and-coming spot in Las Vegas is a dream come true. What’s not a dream come true is planning a wedding from far away—especially when plans begin to fall apart. Like a lucky hand from out of the blue, in steps my boss, Bishop, with an offer I can’t refuse. The man isn’t just easy on the eyes, but a little too easy for me to be around. I try to keep my distance, but he’s always there, cheering me on. I have no right to feel the things I feel for someone who’s not my fiance. But one fact I can’t deny: the ring on my finger says I belong to someone else, but my heart says I belong to Bishop.

Attention: Although this story is about a man who aims to steal the soon-to-be bride, there is NO CHEATING in this story. And of course, an HEA!

Review: I loved this story Charise is a pastery chef at Bishops hotel and she's an engaged to a complete tool . Bishop cares for Charise and wants her to . When Charise realizes what she has to do she dumps her fiance who wasn't a cheerleader to Charise. Bishop comes to kitchen to declare his love for her and then things gets sexy. Bishop and Charise end up getting married . Five years later Charise is pregnant with her next child and everyone is still making fun of Philip fruit cake loved this story .

Quotes:
I turn one last time to say to Cherise, “I hope he knows what a gem he’s got.”

Because if I have my way, Cherise can live in a fairytale for as long as she wants. I’ll make sure of it.

Oh for fu—I mean for pity’s sake. It’s not the same exact cake. You know what? Fine. Let’s go with that. Yes, it’s the same exact Christmas cake from ten years ago,”

Chloe married her celebrity crush older than Daddy. Cara married Daddy’s best friend. Diana married her boss. This family is so nuts, I didn’t think I had a choice but to marry my stalker while I was still in college.” All the sisters and I shriek with laughter, and the men all look like they want to crawl under the table. They might be considering eating that cake just to shock us all into being quiet.

I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

Cherise works at the Orchid a renowned hotel and restaurant on the out skirts of Las Vegas as a pastry chef and trying to organise a long distance wedding. Things haven’t been going well as they have lost the venue. But finally meeting her boss Bishop she is suddenly struck with feelings that should only be having for her fiancé, he’s offered her his hotel and the in-house wedding organiser to make her dream day come true. There is only one problem she realises that the person she is meant to be marrying isn’t the one for her, Bishop is. Knowing that this engagement was a mistake from start she cancels her engagement, now all she needs to do is confess her love to her boss, will he reject her love or embrace it?

Bishop had never believed in true love or love at first sight but the day he walks into the kitchen of his hotel is the day he discovers that both exist. Having never met Cherise before he is smitten with her straight away but when he realises that she’s taken he knows he has to step away. Watching her from afar everyday and knowing she will never be his is torture especially watching how her fiancé treats her. Will she ever realise that he is the man for her or will he have to watch her marry the wrong man and then walk away from him for good?

Very cute story but I thought that Cherise would have more backbone with the way that her fiancé and mother treated her. Bishop was perfect not interfering and leaving her to realise that she would never be happy with a life like that. Enjoyable 3.8* read.

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Chef’s kiss is the fourth book in the ‘’homemade heat’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Cherise is a pastry chef at a hotel. She is planning her wedding and she thinks her life is on track. Hotel owner and businessman, Bishop isn’t looking for love. When he meets Cherise, one of his employees, he wants her. Will Cherise come to her senses and go for the man she actually wants?
The chemistry between Bishop and Cherise is clear to see and I liked them together.
I hated the way Cherise’s fiancé treated her.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

Sweet

These books in this series only got better. I didn't think it was possible, but it was. This one was funny and sweet and the chemistry was great between the two main characters. I wish there was more because I'm not ready to be done with this series.

Chef's Kiss by Abby Knox is another truly delightful addition to the Homemade Heat series that had me falling in love and snacking in equal parts, a marriage made in heaven! The CHEMISTRY sizzles and zings between Cherise and Bishop and it is DELICIOUS!

Cherise is so sweet and charming! I loved it whenever she slipped into geeky chef mode, so filled with passion for her work! She has a lot on her plate, and some not very supportive people in her life, balanced out with her amazing, large, and just slightly crazy family.

And Bishop? From almost hangry to instantly smitten, I loved his adoration and near obsession and instantaneous falling in love with his pretty chef! He so sweet and so concerned and so focused, it was endearing to watch, especially as he was honorable.

People absolutely should be appreciated for being the beautiful people that they are, inside and out, and I loved how Abby touched on this and showcased this in Chef's Kiss. This story will put a smile on your face, and likely cause you to crave some chocolate! So, be prepared, and dive in!

P. S. That wedding theme? SWOON. The powers of technology making all Princess dreams come true! When everything comes together in that perfect way? Priceless and so beautiful to read about.

P. P. S. Cannot wait for the next sister's book!

Chef's Kiss, by Abby Knox, is a short story in the A Homemade Heat series. It's a complete standalone, but characters from the other books make appearances so it's fun to read the whole series.

Cherise, the heroine, is the pastry chef at a hotel in Las Vegas that specializes in weddings. Bishop, the hero, owns the hotel. The first time Bishop meets Cherise, he's completely smitten but unfortunately she's engaged to another man and is planning her wedding. While this sounds like a story with a triangle and cheating, which I hate, it's not at all. Bishop offers encouragement to Cherise and loves her for who she is, and Cherise discovers the "safe route" isn't the one which will bring her happiness. These two take their time getting to know each other and nothing happens until Cherise ends her engagement to the other guy; I don't consider that a spoiler because, come on, this is a romance novel after all. I really liked their growth as individuals and as a couple. It's a really fun story. Plus you get to see the sisters from the previous stories which is an added bonus.

This is a safe read with no real OW/OM drama and no cheating. There is language and sex in the book, although that comes much later in the story. I definitely recommend it.

I received an ARC via Booksprout in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Chef’s Kiss is an extremely sweet and bun-y story. I loved the instant connection Bishop and Cherise, and that their attraction is more then just cinnamon buns, it is also mutual respect and support.

The run down: Cherise is head pastry chef in a wedding centered boutique hotel and her boss, Bishop, comes into the kitchen on day after a long flight looking for something to eat. What he finds is the love of his life, only she is engaged to anther! *GASP* But as all fans of this author know, that only makes the story that much more. As days go by the mutual respect and friendship grows between these two and life changes are made.

The opinion: I really love the connection Cherise and Bishop have, they are meant to be, and I felt that from the beginning. I also really enjoyed that while Bishop is a powerful man, he was really kind and sweet and did not come off as gruff or demanding. I also enjoyed Cherise’s quarks. There are some really funny moment as well that had me chuckling out loud.

The ending was great, and the epilogue was so much fun, especially if you have been following this series. It can be read as a standalone, but I encourage you to read the entire series. Following these Willian’s sisters has been a very enjoyable ride.

She is sweetness and light, just like her pastries, as he just wants to devour her

Chef's Kiss is the fourth book in the Homemade Heat series and this one is al about the sweetness and sticky with more than a touch of spicy hot. The story is about Bishop Frye, the owner of the Orchid Hotel in Las Vegas, and Cherise Williams, the pastry chef at the hotel. Cherise is trying to arrange her own wedding with her fiance of five years. But even though this is Vegas things are not going easily for her. One day Bishop walks into the kitchens and comes face to face with the most beautiful woman he has ever seen, she sings to his soul. He is all ready to sweep her off her feet only to discover that she is already engaged. Well who ever let a little engagement get in the way when the Fiance is a giant azz and the Fiancee is the woman you have fall in love with. After all Bishop didn't become a very successful billionaire hotel owner in LV without going after what you want, even if sometimes it is a bit of a waiting game.

I really enjoyed this fast-paced and very fun short story. The story-line is nicely paced, has a bit of everything woven together and characters that you just fall in love with.

“If sunlight had a sound it would be Cherise’s laughter”

I LOVED this new book in Abby’s series about the Williams’ sisters. This book focuses on Cherish, a chocolatier at a off strip Las Vegas hotel and her boss Bishop. I LOVED these two!!! When Bishop first meets Cherise he is instantly taken with her but soon finds she is engaged. Her fiancé is a tool and doesn’t deserve her but can Bishop convince her of that before it’s too late? I loved everything about this book. The way that Abby writes Bishop is wonderful. He’s a rich man in control of everything in his life until he meets Cherise. The downward spiral that he takes at the possibility of losing her is heartwarming. I also loved Cherise and was glad when she started to see how her fiancé belittles her. Cherise and Bishop are meant for each other and are meant for an epic wedding! Also the epilogue in this book is hilarious. I love how each book has had fruitcake in its epilogue. You definitely have to check out this book…. And the entire series!!

Bishop is the owner to the Oasis wedding destination and hotel. He is proud of his business and very work oriented unti he met his recently hired pastry chef. Just one look at Cherise and he fell mady in love with her. Then he learns that she is stressed because her chosen wedding reception location burnt down. Heartbroken he decides to ease her stress by offering her the use of their facilities for the wedding. He wants to ease Cherise's stress plus he also wants to meet her fiance. If he isn't worthy of her, Bishop will do anything he can to woo her away from him.

Cherise is one of five daughters and the only one who didn't elope. She is marrying a friend from high school who she has been dating for 5 years. This wedding is driving her nuts. Her fiance is making her do all the planning while he questions and doubts her decisions. The more time she works with her new boss, the more valued and appreciated she feels. She is starting to wonder is her fiance is really the man for her.

Cherise finally meets Bishop who loved her unconditionally!!

Fantastic! Hilarious! Adorable! Story.
Cherise and Bishop, love, love, love this story! Oh my god, so relatable!, I knew Augie was jealous of Cherise, he didn't stand up for her, no encouragement, did not uplift up, Cherise new that that she only stayed with Augie just to save face. He was horrible to her, Cherise you are worth so much more than him, he was so jealous of her, Bishop had to get into stalker mode, just so she could get a clue. Wow Bishop a sweetheart of a man who just got Cherise, thank god Cherise broke up with what his face and called off the wedding, because Bishop was just about had it, he couldn't sleep, bath, eat nothing, Bishop told described what he would do to cherise if she was his woman, I am still fanning myself. So hot, sweet, Bishop new how to love Cherise, they are married now 4 kids and so happy, Cherise who is, A rising star with her baking. Fantastic! This should be a movie!!

This is book number 4 of the Homemade Heat series and focuses on Bishop and Cherise. Cherise is the head pastry chef at a Bishop's hotel. One day, Bishop goes to the kitchen to grab some food when he sees Cherise and immediately knows that she is the one for him. He then finds out that she is already engaged to someone else (who treats her like crap BTW). Bishop is there as her friend and her biggest supporter. I seriously loved this story so much! Bishop was amazing and continuously built Cherise up when she was being brought down. I was soooooo glad when she FINALLY kicked Augie and his judgmental family to the curb and figured out she was worth so much more than she had been giving herself credit for. Seriously, I cannot recommend this story enough!

Cherise, the female lead, is pursing her career on one side of the country whilst trying to organise her wedding on the other. When her venue falls through, she struggles to find an alternative.

Bishop, the male lead, is the owner of Cherise’s work place and is infatuated with her when he meets her but not going to interfere with her relationship. He offers his hotel as an alternate wedding venue and facilitates many pieces of her wedding, all whilst hoping that she’ll realise her fiancé is a jerk and that he’s a great alternative!

The story is dual POV, well written and edited, and so much fun. It is pure fantasy and it’s great.

I rate this book 4.5 stars.

Bishop is instantly smitten when he meets his new pastry chef but is heartbroken when he finds out that she is engaged However, he makes a point to get to know her, and learns more about her relationship with her fiance. Cherise is engaged and but having issues with her fiance as he seems disinterested and can't help her attraction to he boss. However, she is not the cheating kind of woman so keeps her feelings at bay. I thought that Cherise and Bishop have a great chemistry together. I loved how sassy Cherise is and that she finally realizes what her heart/head is telling her. Bishop is a total sweetheart and swoon-worthy.

Chef’s Kiss is the 4th story in the Homemade Heat series and it is another winner. This is Cherise’s story and it starts with her being with her wet blanket of a former fiancé. What I like about this set up is, although she starts out the story with another man, Bishop is determined to support her throughout the entire fiasco that the creation of her wedding in Vegas. I think that is what I love the most about Abby Knox’s heroes, they unapologetically and enthusiastically support their woman. Like, who doesn’t want that?!

Seriously, pick up this wonderfully, comforting, sweet roll of a story for yourself and you won’t be sorry!

Bishop and Cherise's Story . . .

Cherise is head pastry chef at the Orchid, a wedding-focused hotel and restaurant outside of Las Vegas. When her boss, Bishop, comes into the kitchen and sees her for the first time, he is smitten, only to learn she is engaged to someone else. Being honorable, he backs off immediately and actually tries to help her out by offering his hotel when she ends up with no place for the wedding.

As their respect and friendship grow, Cherise is beginning to realize her engagement wasn’t working. She was treated badly, he could never bring her happiness, and the man she actually wants is Bishop. She cancels her engagement, but can she convince Bishop that he’s the one for her?

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is the fourth book in the Homemade Heat series. Cherise is an amazing pastry chef in a hotel owned by Bishop. There is an instant connection between them when they meet. The problem is that she is set to marry some other guy. Bishop cannot turn his back on her. He tries to support her when things get chaotic. Cherise feels guilty for having feelings for him while planning a wedding with another. Things get complicated. It seems that she and Bishop are perfect for each other and they get their chance after all. I enjoyed the story and the characters

The chefs

I absolutely love this series! We haven’t heard much about Cherise in the previous books, but boy does she shine in her own book. A solid plot, good development of characters I couldn’t help but love, sexy times with a hint of kink, and fun… What more can you ask for?! I was actually worried when I didn’t see a book 5, but thankfully it’s coming out early July, 2021. I thought I would read a book a night before bed, Nope, I ended up banging out all four in two nights… I just couldn’t stop! I highly recommend starting at the beginning with Judge me, the oldest sister Chloe’s story. Each book could be considered a standalone, however, reading them all in order let’s you get familiar with the family and keep up with all their goings-on.
Totally delightful!💖💖💖

Spice: 🌶️🌶️/5
Chemistry: 🧪🧪🧪/5
Plot: 5/5

With the continuation of the Homemade Series I was pleasantly surprised to find the plot to this story a delight!! I enjoyed the less enjoyable plight of a man who could care less about his significant other when another man is constantly reminding her what a rockstar she really is.

I love how much he loved her before she had the chance to even bring feelings to the table. She was so set on making it work with Augie because she couldn't see the gold that was right in front of her.

But with the right circumstances she was able to see the best in herself through Bishop.

The spice was dialed down in this one and that was completely fine by me.

This is an interesting story right from the start. It takes place in Vegas after all so that should tell you most. Sin City baby LOL. What do you do when the woman of your dreams starts to work for you but she already engaged to another man? You become her friend right? And be there to help her with her wedding since it seems to be falling apart. And get to know her even better but never crossing that forbidden line of cheating. Just bid your time and see what happens? And that is exactly what this all about. So to see if they actually do get a HEA together and not apart grab and read.

Bishop & Cherish

Cherish Williams is is the fourth of the five sister's to get married. She is 29 years old. Cherish has been with her fiance for over five years. Her fiance is a straight up douche. But there is no sparks between them. She is a pastry chef.

Bishop Frye is a hotel business owner. Bishop is in his 40's. He falls kind of hard for Cherish. I really enjoyed reading there story. I do liked how Cherish ended her wedding with douche. Then went to the right guy.

But once they got together. It was just 💥💥. Bishop went for her. He went for want he wanted. The sex between them was 🔥🔥. I am loving this series.

Cherise and Bishop's desire burns hotter than any oven in the kitchen. I love Cherise, I could really relate to her going with the flow for so long and then realizing that it wasn't what she wanted. Bishop's immediate attraction to her and his compulsion to steal her for himself was adorable. He beats that back and does his best to just be there for her. I love this family and seeing each sister find her one and only! Can't wait for the last sister's tale, I am sure its going to be epic! 5 stars for Chef's Kiss!

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Cherise and Bishop. She's a pastry chef at the Orchid Hotel in Vegas and is engaged to Augie. She's been planning a long distance wedding with lots of issues. Bishop owns the Orchid and stumbles upon the kitchen and is blown away with Cherise. Both with her beauty and talent. But once realizing she's engaged he wants to find a way to make her his, since the fiance seems to frustrate her. Great HEA with lots of sweets.

Bishop not only falls for her desserts, but for the Pastry Chef Cherise. Another Williams sister finds her match, but this time it’s the man who has set his sights on the delicious lady. Great storyline of becoming friends who are able to talk to each other without all the pressure of expectations. I loved how Cherise gained her confidence back and was able to approach Bishop and get after him just a little bit, as to his ramblings. The epilogue is hilarious as the whole family is a riot.

Cherise is the head pastry chef in a hotel that Bishop owns. She is engaged but it falls apart and Bishop is there to support her in everything. The characters are heartwarming and sincere, with great backstories. The storyline takes off a little slow burn, but it soon skyrockets as each feels intense emotions, but Cherise does not do anything until her engagement is over. Loved the bond they have and the locale. Well done.

Perfection!

I absolutely loved this couple. Cherise is engaged to the wrong man. She doesn’t realize it until she meets her boss, the boss who holds in that he fell in love with her at first sight. Cherise realizes that he is the only one that supports and shares in her successes. He wants her to be the best for her. She breaks off her engagement and falls for her boss. It’s just perfect.

Chef’s Kiss

“… the difference between sticky buns and cinnamon buns.”

Abby Knox knocked this story out of the park! It’s sweet, sexy, and just tad dirty. But, it’s oh so romantic in this instalove story between surly and sexy Bishop, a self made billionaire and his pastry chef, the sweet, funny and sassy Cherise. She brings a smile to his face for the first time in forever and he gives her the fairytale she’s always dreamed of. Swoon!
