This is an ambitious novel with something for everyone: UFOs, Nazis, detectives, government interference, spies, desert enclaves, etc. It's hard to get it all in but Dennis Hetzel manages to do it! I found that the story I was expecting wasn't the story I got but the story I got was a good one none the less. To me it was more about a small town that just didn't know what to do with an unexplained international event and is even more confused when one of their own disappears. Lots of unexpected twists and turns make it a good read.

I've read all of Dennis' novels and he hits it out of the park - again - with this relevant mystery. I'm not normally drawn to UFO-type stories, but his attention to detail and local flavor engage you to the end. The book also causes you to reconsider everything you've ever heard about unidentified objects. Looking forward to his next project!

I resisted putting the book down. Surprise ending. Read all Hetzel's books.

Strange objects falling from the skies. Missing reporters. Government coverup. Is this X-Files. Suspence from beginning to end. A well written must read for sci-fi buffs.
