Corbin
This story is immediately intense. A gang is targeting mothers with young children and also pregnant women in order to steal their children to sell on the black market. What a horrible and heart-wrenching situation to have happen.
Corbin, his partner Aiden, along with their Maverick handler and contact, Hatch, are determined to get to the bottom of what is happening. Corbin has stepped into quite a mystery where several women have gone missing along with their children. One mother has been found murdered but there is no sign of her children. Now, the daughter of one of England’s members of Parliament, Nellie, who is five months pregnant, has gone missing from the university campus where she was attending.
Corbin has to piece together the clues he’s running down, interview any of Nellie’s friends and classmates who will talk to him and investigate the one murder scene before any more young mothers are killed, and the pressure is on.
How horrifying to think someone would kidnap a woman to steal her children and even more troublesome to think of a pregnant woman being taken to be held prisoner until she gives birth only to have her newborn taken from her and sold.
This story is full of action and angst, suspense, twists and turns. Nellie’s journey is long and dangerous, especially for a woman who is pregnant. Corbin is determined to find everyone involved in this gang and put a stop to the entire thing. I love the chemistry building between Corbin and Nellie. Corbin is very accepting of her pregnancy which is heartwarming.
An intense, exciting, fast-paced story-line and a positive outcome in the end. I loved it!

Wow. I’m not sure how many books we have left of this series but I have loved every single one of them. We are up to Corbin and boy does he has a huge case on his hands. With the help of Aiden, they are pitted against a gang who kidnap moms and their kids with the mothers ending up dead.
Nellie is one of those moms but she is still pregnant and they are willing to wait for their bounty. It’s a race against time to find the women, children and Nellie and it will take all they have and the team to find the baddies. Phew. I got so into this that I read it in a couple of hours. These books can be read alone as they are based around one character and a helper but it might be more enjoyable if you read them in order.

So much is really shared about our world if you listen and think about what your reading. Mothers of children are being taken right off the street. Pregnant Nellie is taken and help is solicited because of who her father is, a cabinet member. All of Nellie's close friends know that she is not on speaking terms with her dad and she had talked about going away. I mean wow just in that alone it speaks so much to what happens in the world today, but its given to in in the form of page turning entertainment. Nellie has a brain, and she uses it, doing her best to stay calm. Nellie has compassion and is there for her "roommate" in captivity. Harsh realities are mentioned and the suspense keeps mounting. Corbin our "Maverick" with his helper using everything at their finger tips, searches. When help arrives, it is not smooth sailing as greed is a hunger that is never fed. Thank you for the arc, I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions.

This case is about missing mothers and their small children being kidnapped. When Nellie, a parlaments daughter is taken and she's pregnant he asks for help besides MI6. Corbin's assignment comes up pretty quickly. He's still in England as is Hatch and Millie. Hatch will be his contact for his assignment an unusual one considering where they are.
A Parliament member's pregnant daughter has gone missing. Now she hasn't had a good relationship with her father lately, but he's concerned and wants her found fast. MI6 won't be quick, so he's hired The Mavericks.
MI6 is working this case but there are 2 other women along with their children that are also missing. Whether or not the disappearances are connected is still not clear.
Corbin starts his investigation with where the first two women were taken, then heads to the University Nellie Abrahms attends and where she was snatched. He interviews a couple of her friends, then they get a break when her father gets a message saying to back off. Of course, they aren't going to back off, but it causes concerns about the women Corbin interviewed. When Corbin finds her dead, the cameras give a good clue.
In the meantime, Nellie has finally gotten the women sharing her room to talk to her. All she knows is they were going to adopt the children out and they want Nellie's baby. Jewel has pretty much given up hope, but when the guards bring in a photo of a man asking Nellie who he is both of them get some hope of rescue. That photo is of Corbin.
After the 'nice' guard has a confrontation with another, their room is left unlocked.
As they are escaping, Aiden and Corbin are looking at the area and intercept them. Although they have Nellie and Jewel, they still aren't safe and they have to get the other women and the children.
Fast-paced with some interesting developments. I love how Nellie and Corbin actually do know each other.
I know this series is coming to an end, but I do love it so very much. I look forward to Aiden's story.

Yet another fantastic story in Dale Mayer's "Maverick" series.
Corbin Wallace had just finished a mission as back up to Hatch Collar, the Mavericks are a black ops organisation, they work in pairs each taking the lead as their turn comes, it was now Corbin's turn to lead, Hatch was to be his handler and Aiden Bronte, an old SEAL buddy and friend, his backup.
Women and children were disappearing, they were being investigated by the powers that be, but when the pregnant daughter of a member of parliament became the latest woman to disappear the Mavericks were hired by the MP to find her.
Nellie Abrahams found herself in a dark dingy room with only a very distressed Jewel for company, Jewel's daughter had been taken away from her.
Although Nellie loved her father they didn't get on, he was overprotective and controlling, he had driven away every boyfriend that she had ever had and was furious that she wouldn't divulge the name of the father of her unborn child, she hoped that he would search for her but how would he know that she was missing, she hadn't spoken to him for ages, the only hope that she had was a picture of a good looking man that her kidnappers had said was asking about her.
This story follows Corbin's determination to find Nellie alive and rescue her, little did he know that they would quickly fall in love but what about the baby's father ? This story is action packed, the body count rises and danger is always imminent. Could Corbin and Aiden manage to rescue all the women and children from the ruthless, well armed gang who killed to cover their tracks ?
This is a great book and I look forward to reading Aiden's story.

Nellie's a pregnant mom-to-be who is kidnapped. Her father contacts The Mavericks requesting they find her. Corbin and Aiden are assigned to the mission of getting her back. Corbin soon realises that there could be a connection between Nellie’s disappearance and a number of mothers and children who have been reported missing. The discovery of a missing mum's dead body, heightens Corbin’s sense of urgency to find Nellie and possibly the other missing women before they are all killed.
Once, the connection is made and Nellie and Jewel are picked up after managing to get out of the building the non-stop action and intrigue starts. Ms Mayer brilliantly switches back and forth between Corbin’s search and Nellie’s situation. In so doing, she manages to set up a timeline that shows the reader the actions of the hero and heroine at the same time. Ms Mayer is able to create a story where her readers are able to experience the hero and heroine's thoughts, fears, joys, wants, needs and frustrations when experienced by them.
Nellie is an impressive character. She is terrified and angry, but has the ability to stay calm and remain positive in times of adversity. In addition, Nellie refuses to give up; she firmly believes that someone will find her and her feeling of connection to Corbin aids this feeling.
The fact that they do realise they met years previously is an added bonus and what makes their relationship and connevtion so easy and believeable.
A suspense filled book which will keep you reading until the last page. Well, worth staying up late to finish reading it. I am looking forward to reading about Aiden's mission in the next book.

Ex-SEAL Corbin is tracking down a cabinet minister's pregnant daughter who was snatched off the streets several days ago. This case fits into the recent spate of several other missing women with one minor exception that those others and already given birth and had small children (they were also kidnapped). It all gets more serious after the body of one mother was found. Nellie would do anything to save her unborn child but finding herself a prisoner was never something that she expected to happen. When one of the guards grills her about someone who is asking questions about her she realises that someone is looking for her and so life is not so dire. The rescue is one thing but getting to the bottom of the entire nightmare is even more urgent as the kidnapper refuses to give up on Nellie's unborn child which will result in a big payoff for him. Can they get to the bottom of everything?
I really enjoyed this story with the various layers of the plot to try and track down Nellie, the people involved and even to find all of the children. I liked the way that the Mavericks worked and the fact that they used every tool that they had in their substantial toolbox to find the women and children to save as many as they could. I loved the easy relationship between Corbin and Nellie and the slight twist at the end was definitely a masterstroke. Easy to read, feel and understand.

This book is the 17th book from The Mavericks series and I've been following this series since the beginning. This series is my go-to read when I just want to read something fast and fun and full of action and a bit romance and this one there's no exception, it's a fun full of action suspense read with a bit of second chance romance.
This book is Corbin's mission. A rescue mission. To save Nellie who's pregnant who's being kidnapped and unfortunately there are many cases of missing women with their children too, so it's up to Corbin with Aiden and Maverick team to rescue all the mothers and children and find who's behind this and to stop them. Everything that has anything with pregnant women and children kidnapping always upped the suspense for me, I just can't stop reading, I just want Corbin and Aiden to save everyone.
As far as the plot goes, it's not that surprising, but I still enjoyed it nonetheless.
As for characters, Dale Mayer always created a wonderful alpha hero like Corbin that I love so much.
Easy-to-read fast-paced romantic suspense read with wonderful alpha hero, so definitely you need to check this one out if that's what you're looking for.

Black ops, mystery, romance.
Former Navy Seals are part of an elite organization that doesn't have restrictions like the Navy. They do the same thing but have more leeway to get the job done. Two-man teams get an assignment to rescue victims. Each story lead finds romance/partner.
Interesting story. A high-profile political figure's pregnant daughter is kidnapped. Is it the same kidnappers who have taken single mothers and their children, or are they different? When one of the mothers turns up deceased with a bullet to the back of the head (execution style), Corbin does everything he can to rescue the pregnant woman. They find out that the children are being sold, and trying to rescue the women and children becomes a logistical nightmare. Twists and turns keep the story interesting.
The men all sound the same, with the same values in life, who want justice for the victims and to make the world a better place to live. There will always be evil people in the world. Their jobs will never end in the fight against evil.

When I pick up a book in the Maverick series, there are interesting scenarios. Corbin and the Mavericks are called to help find a kidnapped member of Cabinet member's pregnant daughter. Nellie is the first pregnant woman to disappear, but there are other mothers and children missing. Nellie quickly realizes that to protect her unborn child that she needs to pretend to be docile and cooperate. It's not good for the mothers that don't cooperate. One of them is dead. I found this story intriguing and suspenseful. It takes time for Corbin to even determine where Nellie is even being held. The villains are really evil in that they have little regard for a woman's life. I like that Nellie is a strong, smart, and resourceful woman. Corbin wants to rescue the women and children, but also needs to close down this illegal adoption ring.

When Corbin is partnered with Hatch to find a pregnant senators daughter who has been kidnapped, he finds a connection between other women who have been kidnapped with young children. Nellie has no idea who has her and is locked in a room with another woman who tells her horrors of why they are there. When they get an opportunity to escape, Corbin is right there to assist them but it’s not over as the ring leaders still want Nellie and will do what it takes to get her back and her unborn child.
A good read with a bit of steam, suspense, surprises, and good characters. Even though these two spent more time apart then together, I liked the connection they have to each other from before and a nice surprise. I also liked Corbin and how easily he accepted Nellie and her unborn child and each other, no drama, and no miscommunication between them.

A good read with a bit of steam, suspense, surprises, and good characters. Even though these two spent more time apart then together, I liked the connection they have to each other from before and a nice surprise. I also liked Corbin and how easily he accepted Nellie and her unborn child and each other, no drama, and no miscommunication between them.

I really enjoy this series, all our heroes have different missions. People to save, crimes to stop and yet all manage to find 'the one' so we know after all the heart stopping moments we'll have a happy ending.
This story would be my worse fear, women and children being kidnapped. When a pregnant women is snatched it's obviously a devious plan to keep the children. They made the mistake of taking someone with big connections. Her father will do anything to get her back safely. Corbin is sent on this mission, people are dying around them. The criminals are tying up loose ends, will they save the day in time. Just when you think it's over it's about to get worse.
This story had many heart stopping moments, and a little chemistry. I enjoyed learning of Corbin's connection with this woman and hoped they'd have a future.

When MI6 is swamped and a member of parliament's daughter goes missing, who are you going to call? Well, The Mavericks, of course. It's Corbin's turn to lead a mission and this is tough one, because mothers with children have been taken. And now a pregnant woman has disappeared from the university with no clues as to who has taken her. The reason behind the kidnappings isn't clear other than no ransom is being demanded. There is lots of suspense as Corbin and Aiden race against time to find the missing persons, especially when the dead body of one of the mother's is found. Nellie is an optimistic person which is a big help for the other woman who is kept in the same room as her. There's plenty of action, especially once they finally get a lead on what is happening.

Nellie is pregnant and she thought that being a single mother would be a challenge however she is about to face a much bigger challenge for that to happen. She has been abducted and is being held prisoner with other women who are enduring the same fate of being taken for their children and who will become disposable after than happens.
Corbin’s company has been hired by Nellie’s powerful and estranged father to rescue her. He soon realizes that this case involves more women than Nellie as he battles to find Nellie and the other women before it is too late.
Suspense that keeps you guessing and twists that will take you by surprise combine with a romance between two captivating characters.

No rest for Corbin as he sets out for his mission. Working alone till his partner arrives, see Corbin working and making headways.
Nellie just wants to live her own life the way she wants and have her baby arrive safely. But finding herself in the situation she is very happy and glad her Dad is very over protective and will act to get her home.
Nellie trys to escape which brings her and Corbin together faster but at the same time brings a small side mission that now need to be solved.
Together they work, solve things only to have a past event brought to the attention which knocks Nellie and her Dad on their backsides.
Love this, a real page turner.

Normally they kill the mother and sell the baby but in Nellie's case they keep her alive until after the birth of the baby. Women with children are being kidnapped so that brokers can sell the children. One of the women, Nellie is the daughter of a member of parliament. He was able to use his position to get the US Navy black Ops team the Mavericks to work on rescuing her. From the time Corbin gets the assignment to the end of the book the action never stops. Corbin saves Nellie three times. I don’t want to give anything away, but I will say there is a cute twist at the end. This is one of the best books in the series and I hope you love it too.

Corbin didn't expect to be on the next job so soon nor that it would involve kidnapped mothers and their children and Nellie was a bug surprise at 5 months pregnant. Seeing both sides of what's going on ie Corbin trying to locate Nellie and the others and then Nellie in captivity has you anxious on whether Corbin will be in time not only for her but also the others held captive. I loved the tension and action as well as the not knowing if all can be saved, then there is the attraction between Corbin and Nellie that has you needing a HEA.

I really enjoyed reading Corbin . It is well written and the characters are fantastic .
Corbin Wallace just finished with helping Hatch on his mission for the Mavericks . He finds himself on a mission of his own with the help of Aiden Bronte . A young pregnant woman Nellie Abrahams has been kidnapped and Corbin is task to rescue her .
This story is spectacular full of suspense and intrigue . This series like all her series's

I have read every book in this series and this has exceeded my expectations soo good will have you turning pages with your emotions all over the place. It was a danger filled, high drama, sizzling masterpiece! This checked so many of my favourite boxes! I absolutely loved this book. This is one of my all-time favourite reads with well-rounded characters and a story line that will keep you on edge of your seat and turning the pages fast enough but at the same time not wanting it to end. Happy reading everyone.

I was immediately sucked into all that was happening and couldn't put the book down until I read the last word with unforgettable characters and a story that was fast-paced and heart-wrenching at times when Mavericks team member Corbin is tracking a cabinet minister's pregnant daughter who had been kidnapped. I love the Mavericks series about a black ops team that will break the rules to get the job done as can only be told by Dale Mayer. Little did he realized this is not the first time he has met this woman and she is not the only one missing. The kidnappers have very horrible plans in place. Will Corbin be able to find Nellie and will he be able to save her and others. Is this a match up for Corbin like the previous Maverick rescues or will he beat the affliction the other men have met?

This story takes off right at the beginning and just keeps going. Corbin has been assigned this case to find out why women and their children are being taken off the streets. Corbin is looking for Nellie a pregnant woman whose been taken. Nellie meets Jewel whose daughter has already been taken from her and tells Nellie what will happen to her and her child. We have drama, suspense, greed, action, and the bodies just keep piling up. Can Corbin get to her in time? Once you start reading this book you won't want to put it down.

Love this series! Corbin gets called in to find Nellie and hopefully other missing mom and children. Nellie has been kidnapped because she's pregnant and they want to sell her baby. This story is about what happens to her and the rescue mission. There is a twist towards the end that I didn't expect. I thought something different would be figured out.

Corbin is sent by the Mavericks to investigate a string of kidnappings involving women and children. One in particular is Nellie who is pregnant. When one of the women shows up dead, the team knows time is of the essence. Nellie is scared and tries to remain calm and optimistic for a rescue. It's a fast paced, dangerous game these kidnappers are playing. A good read. I volunteered to read this book via Booksprout.

I'm absolutely loving this series, this is the 17th book in The Mavericks series, can be read as a standalone story. Fast-paced and action packed, Corbin is on the hunt for several missing mothers and children however is main priority is pregnant Nellie. When he finally finds Nellie, they have amazing chemistry and Corbin is fine with the beauty being pregnant. Can they bring down the kidnappers without being harmed to get their HEA?

Corbin starts off his first op with Mavericks by himself. Usually there are two men for each op but Aiden is too far away for Corbin to wait. The prime minister's 30 year old daughter who is pregnant has been kidnapped. It is Corbin's job to find her and bring her home. Corbin has lots of technical backup making his job easier. Lots of adventure as well as gun play.
