Non duality beautifully summarised

Swami Sarvapriyananda ji is 21st century's Swami Vivekananda. He's beautifully summarised the concept of non-duality (Advaita) here using four verses of Ashtavakra Gita. It's quite useful to be concise in this fast world. Precursor for a long journey in vedanta.

Profoundly Simple Truths

All that is not real, falls away, dissolves, disintegrates.
What is real?
Contemplate Infinity. Dissolve into the Truth of your immortal, infinite self.
I love these teachings. Herein lies Truth.

Beautiful explanation from great seer

Astavakra Gita is so simple that it is abstruse. It is not for the mind but for the self. So it is difficult for the mind to comprehend but easy for the self to realise. But we are so used to our mind that we need certain logical interpretation for the mind to understand. This book provides that clarity in a beautiful manner. It is indeed a fortune to listen to the Master or to read through this book.

profound wisdom

Astavakra is direct in his approach. Swamiji has wonderfully expressed the essence of the narrative in this body of work. I loved the straightforward conclusion being un-attached, oneness, falsity and sameness. A lot to contemplate and cogitate before drowning in infinity.

Maharaj has a beautiful way of explaining , i have started listening to his lectures on Mandukya upanishad and this is a good ref to Advaita vedanta .

Key Takeaways :

Serene in pain , serene in pleasure , serene in hope and serene in despair , serene in life and serene in death.from this perspective you are always fine always secure.

Three stages of learning
1. Shravana: systematically study the teachings from a teacher again and again
2.Manana: reflect upon the teachings and understand them intellectually
3.Nididhyasana: dwell upon your understanding day and night for a long period soaking yourself in clarity .

It's one of those I know I will have to re-read numerous times to fully absorb. The wisdom is presented in a digestible and compact way, but if you aren't focused, you could miss something transformational. I found Swami Sarvapriyananda through YouTube, and instantly found a warmth in his teachings, reading his work was a must ❤️

This book just showed up at the right time in my life.

I love the simplicity of this book. I still don’t quite understand the true meaning of all of this but I guess that’s where I will do Nidhidhyasana and eventually find out!
