“We are the Men of the Brotherhood. Let our blades strike true...” Catlow Credence never truly believed. He never believed his family was heir to a great and terrible responsibility. He didn't want to believe for he knew it came at a horrible cost. The years of training and countless stories about The Brotherhood of the Blade, could do nothing to sway his iron determination. Then, the Men of Chaos sent assassins to kill everyone he had ever loved. Now, he would have a chance to face these cowards in combat. A chance to avenge the dead. A chance to save the world. A chance to fulfill his destiny. He will enter ... the House of Swords... From the ruins of the Acropolis to the Redwood forest of California, Author S.A.Cosby weaves a complex story of honor and duty; of fathers and sons; of love and loss; and balances the fate of the world on the edge of a sword.
I liked this a lot more than the first book. It was fast paced with great battles and I stayed up to finish it as I wanted to see how it turned out. I would definitely read another book in this series but it is very different to the authors latest books so may not be for everyone.
A Different Turn This book was the second to a short series. It is not Colby’s usual fare, however it is just as intriguing and attention grabbing. Two secret orders of men; one uplifts mankind, the other cares only for themselves and their indulgence-at any cost. Once every one hundred years, these men meet and battle with swords to determine who will control the next one hundred years. Cosby has done it again.
