About The Book - "Misplaced Mind is a collection of existential dilemmas and self-reflective thoughts of the poet on the meaning and purpose of life. The book captures the evolution of the author’s thoughts over the years, as she plays various roles in the course of her life. It also encapsulated her struggles in trying to answer the question “Am I doing enough and is there more to like than this?” The book begins with a question and works out a plausible one towards the end.Misplaced Mind encourages you to look within yourself and sift through the layers of conditioning and prejudice that cloud our minds and blur our vision. This book is for everyone who has asked themselves “Who am I?”"About The Author - "Anupama Krishnan – an ‘a bit of poetry for life, a bot of life for poetry’.A Product Manager by profession and poet by passion, Anupama Krishnan is an avid reader with a vivid imagination. A keen observer of life, she is often overwhelmed by thoughts and raw emotions. What began as jotting down bits and pieces of thought, eventually shaped into poems and prose. Her ability to capture the duality of life in a simple yet profound manner makes her writing unique and refreshingly honest."

"A page is torn from your life every day and it’s flown away with the wind. What story does that page tell?"

The above quote turned as my instant favourite from the book - "Misplaced Mind". The book is about a collection of poems mostly based on the self-thoughts we often ask ourselves. Each poem in this book kicks off on a light note, but in the end, it leaves you in deep thought. The overall collection of poems is beautiful and well-crafted. It is worth reading aloud twice, thrice, as many times as you want. The more you read it, the more it will make sense to you.

The poems are very light and you can feel positive vibes around you after reading them. I also appreciate the way the author distinguished the themes of the poem and also additionally presented with a beautiful photograph at the start and a space at last to write down the readers thought process about the theme is engaging.

Overall, short, engaging and meaningful musings.

This beautiful book Misplaced Mind is a collection of reflections on life. Questions, thoughts and feelings that would have crossed us at some point in life. The author captures these through some beautiful poetic lines and summarises them with some words of wisdom.

To get the full benefit of book, Anupama wants us have a pen while reading through the book. There are pages provided in the book for us to pause, think and reflect.

This book could easily be enjoyed with a cup of tea in the evening or could be used as a journal for some deep thinking excercises

Do you believe in muses, ruminarations and reminiscises that helps you pass through each phases of your life? Do you seat in one corner of your room or table or the desk and at times go through the exercise of reliving memories from good old days which left an indelible mark within your heart? Sometimes, unknowningly our mind traces in those paths which to our memory are never pleasant and as this book rightly has titled, our minds are always misplaced where scattered thoughts play a bizarre collage, tone and music of both sad and happy strings that are placed within our physical constructions. This book starts with a question of Who Am I and then goes on to say what am I, what I could be, and what I wanted to be through it's various anecdotal poems that narrate the life of a poet who quite unabashedly has shared intances and incidences as well where she searched for freedom, wanted to breakthrough by a startingly revating breakout from various shacklebound events of her life and also sometimes got lost thinking that she has now mostly forgotten what she once wanted to become. This book is a psychological take on how minds can sometimes reflect a myriad of thoughts and play the pictures of past actions to our physical self just as a mirror projects our reflection of the physical self upon it's surface and resurfaces again the same questions, who am I? And what at times my mind plays weird little games with me? This book a must read for all and it will guide one to various painted pictures of one's past. A read that is delightable.

"Chasing the limits of comfort She went further into waters unknown; Waves whispered to her that day, Life will stretch your horizons each day But low tide or high, you can swim anyway. You may fail, but you will find a way. "

"Action speaks louder than words". This is what we have heard as generation passed by. But, at times it is words that speak much louder and only the essence of words can be understood by a true seeker.

Anupama Krishnan through her beautiful piece of writing, 'Misplaced Minds' takes you through the layers of words. It is a collection of thoughtful poems and verses which focuses much on self-help and thoughts. Through each verse, a reader will seek many such questions that we often ask ourselves but never got an appropriate answer, though.

The poems in this book are well expressed and deep. It takes you through a rollercoaster of emotions and feelings. The language and style of portraying the words is definitely lucid. If you are looking forward in reading something light, quick and meaningful then you must definitely go for this book!

For someone who is not a regular reader of poems, I had my doubts when I got access to this book. But when I started reading, I felt that this is my story as it is others', captured in a wordplay that keeps one engaged.

Anupama Krishnan's poems help us view our life through its edges, and cracks and still makes it feel complete and perfect. She breaks the age old concept of perfection and frees readers from the shackles of conditioned thinking.

Excellent hashtags and frequent opportunities to pen down our own thoughts in the book is a refreshing idea.

Overall, excellent book. Thank you for getting me introduced to poems. I am sure you will also enthrall all with lyrical prose and I will be eagerly waiting to read your next book.

Perfect read for poetry lovers

Misplaced Mind, as the title depicts, the book contains all the confusions and the thoughts of the writer at various stages of her life. Overall, I liked the concept of mocking bird and the way the narration started. Most of the poems felt very relatable, out of which few of my favorites are "#loveyourself", "#LetsShare", "#SeekerForLife" and "#DropYourFears"

"Nobody can give you the love you don’t have for yourself" #LoveYourself
The lines in this poem are absolutely impactful and the content it covered is also brilliant. I would recommend it to all the poetry lovers.

Marvelous poetry.

"Every single day,
we change in so many different ways,
the person who returns home at night,
isn't the same as the one who left in daylight.
Yet, when people change,
we point it out as a mistake,
while the only way to not change,
is to be dead and buried underground.
Even then,
you are slowly decaying away."
