It’s the end times: the rapture has passed, but no one showed up. After ecological collapse, who is to blame? The demons who found themselves right at home in corporate capitalism? or the angels, cosmic beings from deep space, which quickly became yet another natural disaster to exploit? or did humans themselves destroy the earth? Blending cosmic horror with snappy humor, INFERNO reinterprets themes of biblical mercy within the frame of anti-capitalistic sentiment, collaging the modern with the archaic and forgotten. A novel in three parts, INFERNO blasphemes ____ and revolutionizes the conception of ____ featuring the worst lesbians you’ve seen! with bonus illustrations from the author himself.
Inferno is a really special story. This book feels really personal, and I think that's what makes it really stand out. Obviously the characters, the world, and the illustrations are all big factors to the book that really give it originality and bring it all to life. But I think that this book being independently created very much brings a level of charm and realness to the book. I loved the world this book was set in, everything that was built onto the world just made me want to read more stories that take place in it. Also the characters are all very charming (even when they aren't) and overall just made me want to continue reading every day. I'm definitely looking forward to reading anything else this author comes out with!
Awesome imagery, I really liked the creature and character design. The illustrations were FANTASTIC. I didn't care for a few of the characters/how some of the plot went, and bits of the writing I lost interest during but that's just personal taste. There were enough scenes and characters that I really liked that made it worth reading.
