Three children went on an adventure and from that day they were marked, they were stained with an evil that would never leave them be.
The darkness has slept. It has waited, until now. Now it's coming for them, and it's hungry.
Three children walked into The Pipe in search of treasure. What they discovered would change them forever and draw them back into the darkness to finish what they started all those years ago...
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, especially with its descriptive storyline, The story of 3 children and what they saw and how it shapes their lives. It was certainly a book to enjoy but only with the light on.
Great story, easy to follow, but gruesome in parts. Gripping, read inn two sessions. Will follow Her Cope so I can download more of his books.. Highly recommend
this book is kind of mishmash in my opinion, ancient blood thirsty super monster. somethings bothered me reading this. the middle section tending to run on describing the history of the monster. and the use of the word WAS maybe its just the way the British talk it seems to pot up in places it's not needed. just my $.02
Would not recommend this book as the poor grammar and writing made it hard to read. The story was gruesome and bloodthirsty but not really a page turner
I didn't know what to expect from this rather random Facebook suggestion. It was on Kindle Unlimited, nothing ventured and all that. I got thoroughly absorbed and enjoyed every page. I shall seek out more of Jed's work.
Horror. If I'm going to write a review about The Pipe, then I am going to write a review about horror. There's a bunch of us who want to be scared. That's the stock answer to; why horror, isn't it? When I think horror, I invariably think of a certain Mr Stephen King. I love, love, love his books. If he wrote on a toilet wall I would savour every word... ...that sounds a bit wrong, but I don't care! Do I read Stephen King to be scared? No, I don't think I do. I read for the build up to a crescendo. I want to know what happens next. The suspense and the mystery of who lives and who dies, and along the way? Which battles are won by evil and what exactly do those on the side of good have to do to prevail? Chances are, they will be asked to make sacrifices and to do things that are not necessarily the deeds of a good person. Books like this dig deep inside and explore what it is to be human. They take us somewhere and make us think about ourselves and what we would do, were we faced with a decision... ...would you go back down into that pipe? Into the darkness and deep underground to face evil? Or would you wait for it to come to you...?
