Elaine Landau did a superb job describing the difficult times during the Great Depression. The photos in this book great examples to help the students visualize how people lived, dressed, and the trials they faced. The information in this book is factual and would be a great read for students that are interested in history. Students could use this style of book to assist in a research project about the Great Depression.
