my brain said wtf, but my eyes said hell yeah its britney bitch!
the boy & the wolf is a webcomic that's been in production since forever. available on tapas for free. (this is my first time using tapas for anything and idk is it always this crap at loading pages? or is it just my rotten internet idk.)
there is a lot to say about it, but the first thing that smacks u in the face is the art. omg the A.R.T!
i mean...(might be my fave panel)
the art is so good i feel like its illegal for it to be available for free.
the story, i thought, is a bit rough 'round the edges, but i dont wanna nitpick nothing here, it's alright. its functional. i interpret it as a spin on beauty and the beast.
we have this femtwink called boy (his name as of yet unknown) with a passion for crop tops and a knack for getting himself in some sticky situations and one day he runs across this other guy, Tera, who is a member of racketeer group 'Black Death' that holds the city by the cojones and no one can do nothing. all the BD dudes wear animal masks (Tera = wolf). and this is their story, as they say.
this comic starts off very silly and slapstick but before u know it, it plunges into some turbulent waters (TWs apply). turns out BD aint messing around and are elbow deep in some fucked up shit. that, i honestly enjoyed a lot. gangsters be killing people sometimes, i know, what a shocker. and in general, action scenes were my favorite.
character-wise, boy is a bit too naive and sheltered for my liking. i get his story and personality, but he's not my type of twink. Tera though...bro. jacked-up dudes are usually not my type, but Tera is the whole package here. and we still barely know anything about him. im looking forward to learning more of his story.
ps z-pico posts a lot of goodies on their insta btw. including lotsa tera's handsome face. (in the comic his face is not shown)

Where did my review go?!
Tsk. Anyway. 🙄
Initially I was really confused. The colorless panels, full of action made it hard to understand what is going on. I needed to read it again.
The story is still in the early stages, not much has happened. This second time around I'm really enjoying it, it's fun. And the art is beautiful. There's a little darkness coming into the story, which I find really promising.

When you start a really a good manhwa thinking it was completed but it isn’t 🥲 and they update once a month too.
But this gotta be the funniest manhwa I’ve read. Also I’m a sucker for opposites attract trope and I love crime fiction so this was just ✨perfect✨

MIRA QUE LLEVO TIEMPO QUEJANDOME DE NO TENER UNA LECTURA CINCO ESTRELLAS PERO ESTO ES UNA BARBARIDAD VIVA EL KARMA. ME FALTAN MAYUSCULAS TE LO JURO.
La historia es una pasada, el dibujo sensacional y los personajes y sus interacciones asdfghjklñ no puedo, el slowburn es mi vida.
Directo a favoritos.
La única pega es que no esté completado, pero eso sólo hace mejor la experiencia…bueno, y que no las tengo todas conmigo de que no se quede puramente platónico lo que sea que haya entre ellos :’)
P.D: TERA TE AMO (pero te amo mucho más con el chico).

This has no right being so funny.
The Boy and the Wolf follows the story of a ruthless gangster (our 'wolf') and a teenager (too purehearted for his own good) that keeps getting tangled up in wrong-place-wrong-time scenarios. Eventually, the wolf grows fond of the boy, wanting to protect him from the violence he's so deeply entrenched in. Never thought I'd be laughing this much at such a seemingly dark story.... but the boy is just so preciously earnest, and that whole guinea pig sequence will never not be hilarious to me.
Even if I wasn't so charmed by this story, the visuals alone would be enough to keep me reading. Z-Pico's artstyle is insanely good, and I can't wait to see where this story goes in the future!

OMG! This is one of the best bl stories i have ever read, i really really want to see how is going to grow this story and i am insanely waiting to se more of it, but i have a very imposrtant question, please, somebody knows if the author (Z-Pico you're awesome) is going to upload new cheapters? I mean, the story is going to be finished some day right? please tell me i need to know.

Reviewed up to Chapter 10.
Honestly pretty fun! It's funny and entertaining, and I was pleasantly surprised but the drama and how creepy and gory it gets.
I'm definitely invested for sure, even if it does seem a bit shallow at times.
I'll update my review as the chapters realise. The slow burn is REAL btw, but that's how I like it.

yes read it,ml is so bby girl, its funny, its entertaining,it makes my heart flutter, art is a masterpiece. the only negative side of it is that the updates takes a while. but as long as the quality is good idc💍

I read it yesterday and I literally can’t contain myself from the excitement I’ve got. I want to read it for the first time all over again. This was sooooo goood, made me giggle for an hour and plastered a goofy grin on my face. I’m in love with the art, with the clueless walking disaster that is the boy, and the protective hotness incarnate that is the wolf. I’m so hyped up that I can’t bear a thought that this comic has been in work for so many years and it’s still only 9 chapters in 😭 I need my fix.
