Her heart’s desire is the one thing he vowed never to give.

Samantha Rose views her dance—on the silks, on the lyra, on the ballroom floor—as an empowering art form. Not a come-on to entice men to shower her with fancy gifts she doesn’t want. In reality, her dreams look more like home. Love. Lots of children.

So far, she’s 0-and-too-many for finding the man who’ll fit into that dream. He definitely isn’t Derek Damon Wright, the enigmatic, Viking-conqueror-sexy owner of Club Frost. Though every time he looks at her, she feels it like silk wrapped around her skin.

With thirty successful night clubs worldwide, Derek hasn’t had time to play—the kind that involves ropes, steel, and webbing on tender female flesh. Until he spots Sam suspended twenty feet above Club Frost’s stage, and heat blooms in places inside him long gone cold.

Except the things he wants to give her—luxury, decadence—she doesn’t want. And the one thing she does? He vowed long ago never to give anyone.

A great story. I liked all the characters, well I liked the when I was supposed to like them as they developed. I especially like the was Elizabeth SaFleur used the characters from her other book. Even ones one characters from her short story compilation with other authors.

The only thing I was not crazy about was the mugging/threat to Samantha. This was quite small compared to the resources at the main characters disposal. Once again, I am happy the consent was repeatedly brought up.

What I really liked was the journey Samantha took into Derick’s world, but she did not lose her toughness or her own character. She was a match for him in every way. Great story right through to the epilogue.

This series is getting better by the book, and Lucky had something extra….
Something i always loved….Derek is a Master with ropes!

Samantha Rose is an aerial art dancer that teaches different disciplines within the dance at her own studio,Aerobesque Studios.
Living with her grandmother,Carina, who used to be a burlesque dancer, she can focus on making her studio a succes.
She and her partner,Cindy are lucky to perform at the opening night of Derek Wright’s new club,Frost.
And once she meets Derek, she’s going to get even luckier….
There’s an instant attraction between the two,but both have hurdles to overcome.
She’s been burnt by past boyfriends, and her ex Craig is on top of that list.
Derek once was engaged to a moneyhungry girl, and has no plans to get serious ever again.
Not to mention having any kids, ever….
Sam loves kids, and while the ones she teaches in her studio are special to her,she wants a child of her own.

The only thing they both like is how she climbs her silks and wraps herself in them.
It makes Derek want to tie her up in his ropes, and do dirty things to her.
And once she’s been tied up by this Viking, she wants more of that too…
He is a man that puts her needs before his own,a man that pays attention to what she likes.
If only she didn’t see the shadow in his eyes when she talks about her little pupils….

Her plans to expand her studio sound good, and he knows he’ll find a way to make it happen.
Because his little ballerina deserves to see her dreams come true.
And when she,Cindy and her studio are attacked,he takes measures to make sure they’re safe.
He even takes her to his and his brother Bret’s resort in the Caribbean.
But he knows their time together can’t last….because in the end,he can’t give her what she wants.
And once she hears what happened to his little brother, she’s going to leave him anyway…

The walls Derek had around his heart were thick, the reasons heartbreaking.
But even with those walls,Sam managed to find a way in,to soften him.
Her persistence was beautiful to watch, knowing she had a man that was worth it,gave her every reason to fight for him.
She made Derek want more, and gave him hope.
Even the relationship with his mother started to change somehow……

This was a story that drew me in from the first page, and didn’t let go until the very last.
In short,it was another story in this series that i enjoyed, very much!

A seductive and scorching Billionaire romance that'll have you in knots...

Dearie me, I may be a little bit speechless. I've never read anything by Elizabeth SaFleur, and to be honest, I hadn't even heard of her until the promo for Lucky hit my inbox. I may have become a just a teeny weeny bit excited over the blurb— I was SOLD! from the off. I was so right to have been that enthusiastic, god, this book is hot. With a capital H.O.T. I may be salivating a little thinking about it. Think Fifty Shades on steroids.

Although I have just mentioned Fifty, I have to admit that the actual story is different...ish. I mean, Derek is one mighty fine billionaire with an appetite for BDSM, and he does have a troubled background... Look, the reality is that the characters do have some similar traits, but isn't that the whole point of a Billionaire BDSM Romance? You know what you're getting, how you're getting it and you know that by the end you'll be more than satisfied. And, Lucky will leave you giddy and breathless and hot under the collar.

This is book #4 in the Elite Doms of Washington series, like I said— I haven't read any of the other books before, and this read perfectly as a standalone. There were some secondary characters that I could tell had had their book already, but that didn't impact my enjoyment of the story whatsoever. If anything it just made me uber excited to have something to go back to once I finished Lucky. The story is brilliantly mapped out and developed. It swallowed me up completely and before I knew it... it was spitting me back out. Considering this is a full length novel I managed to read it in one sitting. I was so consumed with this story that I may have actually ignored my bodily needs for a whole 8 hours. Who needs to eat and drink anyway? Pfffffffft...

So, Derek... I really liked him. Obviously. There were times that I did want to violently shake him and kick his butt. He's a little slow in the uptake of certain things... feelings primarily. I know that the whole angst of unexpected feelings and how to deal with them is a trademark of the genre, but he just took the peepee out of it! You're left a bit like— seriously, dude, it's not that difficult. But then there's a twist and you realise that there's so much more than meets the eye... and you feel like the twat. Elizabeth SaFleur really screwed me over. I do not like being wrong. And. I. Was. Wrong. About my violent intent... toward Derek. SaFleur really does deserve praise for putting such a fresh spin on a cliché. She had my eyes ogling and my heart racing and breaking. She did a number on me with her exceptionally written characters and story.

Samantha really stole the show for me. She's strong and she has this uncanny ability to smash Derek's ego to smithereens. However, at the same time she builds him up. They really do balance each other beautifully. Although Derek is the Dom in their relationship, Samantha is the one holding the reins. She elevates his character to a whole new level. She in no way changes him, but she enables him to be the person he doesn't believe he can be. Personally, I loved that. I can't stand it when you have a heroine that either changes herself for the hero or that wallows in self-pity and despair because he's too blind to see what's in front of him.

Right, so moving on to the HOT taboo sex. The bondage BDSM scenes in this book are insane. They are tasteful, but on the graphic side. There are moments when it does get raw, and there is that initial cringe moment where you're left slightly uncomfortable with the situation and how Samantha and Derek deal with it. Saying that though, it made the love story that much deeper and empathiseable. Going on that journey with them where they work through their mutual needs together, was pretty gut-wrenching at times. I just adored how SaFleur told used those scenes to develop the story. I hate it when there's sex just for the sake of sex.

I'm so glad that I crossed paths with Elizabeth SaFleur and Lucky. I cannot wait for more from this series and I am so chuffed that I have some catching up to do in the meantime!

This is the 4th book in this series and I'm honestly loving it more with each book. This is Derek and Samantha's story and right from the start, you are hooked. Derek is the high powered businessman, club owner who doesn't let anyone get too close to him. Samantha is a dancer and is hired by Derek's manager to replace an act at his newest club. You can tell the minute Derek lays eyes on her, it's going to be a wild and hot ride. I loved them together and so many times, I wanted to reach through my kindle and smack him upside the head for holding her at arms length. Will he get over his fears in time to keep her? Get the book and find out for yourself!! You'll love it!

This was my first book by Elizabeth SaFleur and needless to say I started out this series with the 4th book. I have to say that I was not disappointed in the least or felt lost at all. I really enjoyed the development of the characters throughout the book and although Derek made some choices that made me want to smack him, I really enjoyed finding out why he makes those choices. How he was hurt in the past. The secondary characters were some of my favorites to say the least.

Derek and Samantha are two compeletly different people, from different social status, jobs, bank account amounts and view points on relationships. When these two meet their is such an attraction but will these two people be able to find a happy ending?

I can definitely see myself reading a book by Ms. SaFleur in the future and I highly recommend this book as well.

The Elite Doms of Washington Series continues with Lucky, Derek and Samantha’s story. All the books in this series can stand alone but the author brings her past beloved characters in for cameo appearances. As a reader and lover of this series, that makes me very happy. All the books are amazing and I recommend them highly.

Derek was a quieter character in the other books but boy does he have a story to tell. Broken by childhood tragedy, Derek is left feeling unworthy of love and seeks control in other areas. Samantha spun her way into Derek’s heart and quickly became his obsession.

As a dom, Derek has certain proclivities that he longs to share with Samantha as he watches her mastering the hoops and silks of her trade, but he must tread lightly as he tests the waters with her to find if they can work together. Both are on different life paths that don’t appear to have a meeting point. Can they figure out how to have it all?

I loved this story. I love broken men who are brought to their knees by strong women who know how to crumble their walls. Samantha is that type of character. She has seen her fair share of bad relationships and she is done going there. She has a spine and she uses it. There is no backing down for her and no way she will let Derek retreat into himself and walk away from their future. It is time for Derek to be more than just fine, to find his exceptional, and Samantha is just the girl to help him do it.
"I want you to know that I love you . . . all the way through to the other side."
This book has some amazing BDSM bondage scenes and Elizabeth is always a master when it comes to writing these. She takes care to ensure she captures the lifestyle as close as possible to give the reader an amazing image. There is a point in this book where things get very real and raw. I may have cringed, I may have had an emotional breakdown, perhaps both, but as Derek and Samantha worked through what they both needed, giving themselves fully to each other, I saw a beautiful love story that had me hooked from the very beginning.

All the scenes are very high on the temperature scale and I guarantee you may need as fan to cool things down. Derek knows how to heat things up, slow and passionately. If you are a newbie to the world of the Elite Doms of Washington, get ready for some of the most amazing BDSM writing you will ever come across. Kudos to Elizabeth once again.

Lucky was a great 5 star read. This is book four in the Elite Doms of Washington series and they keep getting better. This is Samantha and Derek’s story and boy oh boy it's a good one.

We start with Samantha at club Frost getting ready to kick off their opening night with dance performance. Derek is the owner of club Frost and when he meets Samantha he is intrigued by her. Derek is not what Samantha expected when she met him..

I totally expected a sleazy, old guy, not a Norwegian god straight out of the movies.

Derek tries to distance himself from Samantha while she’s at the club, however when she is attacked in the alley his protective side comes out and he needs to keep her safe and protect her. As he spends time with her he learns so much more about her. He want’s her but doesn’t want a future, he doesn’t want the home with a picket fence and kids.

Her business is in trouble. Easy fix. She wanted kids. Deal Breaker.

These two had such a hot and panty melting connection and the scenes, wow. Derek always seems to want to try and scare Samantha away when she seems to be getting too close for his comfort. Will she be able to get through his walls? There is also mystery with who is behind the attacks, are they after Samantha or Derek? Can he keep her safe?

I have to say I really enjoyed reading Derek and Samantha’s story. There is BDSM with rope play and some other erotic scenes that will leave you hot and bothered. The ending was great and couldn’t have been more perfect. It was great seeing the characters from the earlier books in the series, hotness all the way around. I have to say I think Derek may be my favorite of the series so far. These two were so perfect for each other and I loved how determined Samantha was, you go girl. If you're looking for a great read than 1-click and get started today on this great series. Lucky can be read as a stand alone but definitely check out the whole series.

Lucky is the fourth book in Ms. SaFleur's Elite Doms of D.C. series. As with the last three, the book focuses on a member of the tribunal, in this case, Derek. While this is part of a series, you do not need to have read the earlier books in order to enjoy this.

Derek owns multiple clubs, restaurants and other businesses. At his newest club opening, his manager hires Samantha Rose, a dancer, to perform. From the moment he sees her practicing with her parachute silks and Lyra, he can't help but imagine what it would be like to bind her and suspend her himself.

Samantha isn't sure whether getting involved with Derek is the smart thing for her but is drawn to him. As she gets to know him more and he introduces her to his lifestyle, she needs to decide whether to risk it all with him - or give up her dream of children.

Overall, this was a delight to read. Ms. SaFleur presents the BDSM lifestyle with a deft touch and I have enjoyed her exploration of the different facets of BDSM with each of her books. Derek was an interesting Dominant and I liked learning more about his relationship with Alexander and how he got involved in this lifestyle. Samantha's love for dance was evident throughout the book. Watching the two of them be drawn together and try for a relationship was fun to read.

However, there were some plot beats that did not work for me. At the start of the book, the reader is introduced to Samantha's ex, who is naturally, not a great person. The resolution of his tiny plot point feels unfinished or included pro forma and I would have rather it not be included at all. Samantha mentions a few times that she teaches dance to empower women, but I did not feel that that was shown. Indeed, despite her teaching all ages, most of the dance class scenes focused on children, perhaps to serve as a foil for Derek's feelings about children. Lastly, I thought that Samantha was surprisingly sanguine towards how much Derek became involved in her life and business.

Lucky is a good read that illustrates the beauty of dance, of rope binding and suspension, and of course, a romantic relationship with two people working to figure out what they have. If you've enjoyed the previous books in this series, you will likely enjoy this. I certainly did.

I really enjoyed this book. Derek Damon Wright has some personal issues that have compounded throughout his life and they all come to the fore when he meets and is instantly attracted to Samantha Rose. Samantha is such a warm and caring character who's biological clocking is ticking loudly and Samantha is definitely listening to it especially as she loves kids. Watching the relationship develop between these two with a little help from their friends (both new to the series and re-occurring from previous books) made for a book that I could not put down. Threats from several possible directions cause the Doms from Accendos to jump into action to help one of their own and just makes for a deeper, richer story. The author also gives us one heck of an epilogue that fantastically wraps up Derek and Samantha's story.

I would definitely recommend this whole series (including the related stories - Jackson and Riptide).

Even though each book can be read as a standalone (I read them out of order 3, 1, 2, 4), I feel that reading them in order adds just that little something extra (like being in on a secret).

Elizabeth SaFleur's Elite Doms of Washington is becoming a favorite series of mine.

The attraction between Derek and Samantha is instant and consuming. This made for an intense erotic story.

Derek is a very powerful Dom that keeps his feelings and emotions under a tight lock. His past had kept him from forming close relationships except for the members of the exclusive BDSM club he is a part of.

Samantha is just the perfect woman to show Derek how to open up. Her charming sassy attitude and her way of embracing life opens Derek to a caring relationship that helps heal his inner pain. I loved the contrast that this couple showed. Each bring something to each other that was needed to make them fuller.

As always the BDSM scenes were so well written. Tasteful, smoldering and compelling, they showed the beauty of a true Dom/sub relationship.

It isn't necessary to read each book in this series to enjoy Lucky but you would be missing out on some amazing stories if you didn't.

Their love story all started with her acrobatic dancing with the large ring and the flowing scarves at the Grand Opening of his club. Derek had visions of how he could tie her with those scarves. He was intrigued by her, wanted to know more about her. He doesn't do relationships.
Samantha knows Derek is a powerful, rich man, with many connections. She's not interested in his money. She wants to know him. but how can she get to know him better emotionally when he won't let her in?
Oh yeah, their connection is magnetic. Derek is questioning why is he chasing after this woman? It's nothing he has done before. Why this woman?
This is a story of danger, mystery, self discovery, BDSM, finding unexpected love.
Anastasia Whatley narration is wonderful! I enjoyed listening. I was gifted this audio and offered my honest review.

(audiobook) This book had everything: perfect narration, a swoon worthy hero, a sexy and smart heroine, scorching hot intimate scenes with BDSM flavor. So I don’t know why I couldn’t get emotionally involved with the story. I can’t pinpoint where it went wrong. Maybe I just wasn’t in the right mindset at the moment.

I was bothered by some side characters. I don’t really like the idea of some kind of secret society of Doms. Like as a Dom, you can’t have a friend who isn’t a Dom too. Too bad, because I enjoyed the level of their friendship and what they’re ready to do for each other.

The approach to BDSM was quite healthy, with the setting of boundaries, and the presence of aftercare. That was kind of refreshing.

So, a lot of qualities, but I kept outside of the story.

Quickie

- Series: Elite doms of Washington #4 (but can be read as a standalone)
- Hashtags: #billionaire romance #BDSM #dancer
- Triggers: past child death, some violence
- Main couple: Samantha Rose & Derek Damon Wright
- Hotness: 5/5
- Romance: 4/5
- + aftercare, guys!!
- – Derek really had a shitty family…

It’s Like Rich Chocolate To Savor And Remember ….
Lucky is pure elegance and sophistication. Book four of The Elite Doms of Washington returns with new possibilities for the last man standing: Damon Derek Wright: The Gentlemen’s Dom.
This is the kind of romance I love. The perfect knight and prince charming who meets “the one” in the most unique of circumstances. Derek is a charming wealthy business owner in DC. He doesn’t believe in family, kids and love however he gets the sucker punch of his life when he sees Samantha Rose hanging from the rafters in his new club FROST.
Reluctantly Derek begins to imagine her tied up in rope. Derek’s kink is rope bondage. He has a million reasons to be somewhere else and finds himself staying in DC to pursue Samantha. Instead he plays the role of gentlemen and protector and little by little enjoys the opportunity of “spending more time” and getting to know her and her limits in the BDSM scene. He’s very sincere and passionate. A true alpha male with tremendous dignity who finds himself on a challenging path. He has just the right mix of arrogance and self-confidence to make him too good to be true. And he’s tied in knots over Samantha Rose. Her innocence speaks to him and it makes him want to be protective.
Samantha is very cautious and dare I say, “too sweet” for own good. She attracts the worst kind of men. The kind who assume just because she teaches pole dancing she is a hooker or stripper with an easy one night stand mark. It’s Derek Wright who reminds her of her self-worth. Its Derek who shows her the right man can be a gentleman and a fierce lover.
Lucky is genuinely emotional at times and there are titillating moments throughout. The relationship between them is very real and tender with a lot of sizzling and fiery romps of BDSM ecstasy.
It’s like a rich piece of Godiva chocolate that you put in your mouth. You savor it and when it’s gone you still have the memory of that taste. Find out what it takes for this rope bondage Dom to become a family man in this elegant erotic romance.

Elizabeth SaFleur writes honest to goodness BDSM-laced romance. I've been following her Elite Doms of Washington series and reading as they appear. Lucky, is the 4th in this engaging series. Each story so far, features a Dominant man, part of a network of men & women who sit on a tribunal council of an elite BDSM club in the DC area, and his/her would-be sub. Drawn to dominant, alpha men in the stories I both read and write, I recognize and appreciate Elizabeth's cautionary acknowledgement in the front of this book and others: Her books show a relationship in a compressed period of time. In this post 50 Shades era, where everyone is captivated with the lure of BDSM, it is important to acknowledge a proper D/s relationship doesn't take place overnight and to use caution and care when exploring this world.
That all being said, each member of this unique tribunal has fallen for a woman when he least expected it, and Derek Damon Wright is no exception. Derek is the owner of many elite nightclubs and resorts. When he opens his newest, Frost, he is immediately captivated by the young Samantha Rose, a dancer/acrobatic performance artist, hired to perform at his nightclub premiere. Derek's lifestyle is foreign to Samantha, who has no idea exactly whose eye she's captured. Derek thinks he's capable of living life "alone", using his Dominant status for his sexual needs at the club, but not wanting the wife, 2.5 children and picket fence dream, some of his closest associates have now fallen for. Samantha, has bumped through her life so far, being let down by men, but hoping to someday find the man who will fulfill her dreams. Can these two find a way to be together?

Lucky was the first book that I've read by this author, and I did enjoy it quite a bit. Samantha is an aerial artist, and dance studio owner, who has never been lucky at love, so she's basically quit looking. Never did she think that a new job would bring face to face with a man that she couldn't resist. Derek Damon Wright learned early on that women were trouble, so he has no plans to ever have the white picket fence with kids. That's been working for the billionaire entertainment investor, until he comes face to face with a dancer that he can't get out of his head. As they give in to their attraction, will past mistakes keep them from having something amazing? Okay, I have to start out with stating for the record that sexy times were FIERY FLAMES of panty melting goodness. Then there's the whole, what hurt Derek, secret that kept me on the edge of my seat until I had the answer. Especially since, he made some questionable douchey decisions when he got in his head. And if that question wasn't enough, there were some other f-bomb dropping worthy twists that came out of left field. Samantha was a feisty girl, but the cast of secondaries were highly entertaining, who kept me laughing a lot. Elizabeth SaFleur has a talented writing style that drew me in instantly, while keeping my full attention to the very end. In MY OPINION, (<-MINE not necessarily other peoples), the ending was a bit rushed for me, but all in all, I'm excited to read more by her in the near future. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Lucky by Elizabeth SaFleur

An excerpt…
His hands cradled her face. As his fingers massaged the back of her skull, his eyes roamed over every inch of her heated cheeks.
“Do you like surprises?” he asked. “Cameras notwithstanding.”
“Love them.”
“Good. This one time I’m going to tell you what I’m going to do. Next time, I won’t.”
There was going to be a next time? “Okay.”
“First, I’m going to kiss you so hard you’ll lose your ability to stand. You’ll be short of breath. Your world will become my mouth.”
Good start.

Was Samantha Rose lucky? Was it her destiny to find the dangerously handsome Derek Damon Wright? Only you can be the judge after you read this amazing love story about a brilliantly talented dancer, Samantha and the D.C. entrepreneur-business owner who wrapped around more than her heart. Their love affair is blended with danger as someone has it out for Samantha and her dreams of expanding her dance studio. Derek uses all his unique connections in D. C. to protect her and find out who is behind the sabotage. Along the way Derek realizes that Samantha means more to him than he would care to admit. Samantha allows her feelings for Derek to grow, but fears that Derek is hiding a deep dark secret. It is her goal to love him past his own pain to help him trust again. Hopefully, it won’t be too late for them to see it through.

I am hooked on this series! Each book has it's own flavor and can be read as a stand alone, but I highly recommend you read the others in the series first to get a feel for the dynamics of their world, and get acquainted with the other Doms who make an appearance in the book.
I love a good opposites attract romance and Derek and Sam are about as opposite as you can get....on the surface. He's aloof, not looking for a relationship, keep things simple. She's warm, kind, and wants the fairy tale, after she makes her mark in the world of dance of course. Yet, both are trying to make it in their perspective fields and are a force to be reckoned with in their own rights. They are both driven and ambitious, they just present it differently.
From the start these two are drawn to each other and their chemistry pops off the pages, especially when there are ropes involved ;) Those were some of my favorite scenes, btw.
When it comes to Derek and Sam, it's the push and the pull that I liked. They both stayed true to themselves, while opening up to new experiences.
The supporting characters are just as endearing. Sam's grandmother will grab your heart, I so need her story!!!
Keeping with the Doms of Washington series, this story isn't complete without some intrigue and mystery.
Out of all the books, I think Lucky is my favorite so far.

I came in at book 4 in the series and I can't wait for another book and it didn't take away from the overall story. I'm just blown away at Ms. SaFleur's writing style and character development. I love the way she develops Derek over the course of the book, he moved from closed off billionaire to both arms open ready to receive a true relationship. Samantha Rose is an aerial artist who owns her own dance studio. She is hired by Derek Damon Wright to do her dance routine at Derek's opening night at his newest club. She gives off this vibe about the white picket fences, babies and marriage that should send Derek running, but he just can't stay away. When everything is just spiraling out of control for Samantha, Derek comes in and swoops her to the Caribbean for a vacation. She's helpless to resist falling deeper for this charismatic man and all he has the offer with elements of domination and submission thrown into it. When everything around them is imploding, will they be able to trust each other enough to come out the other side with their relationship is still intact?

Lucky is the fourth book in the series and so worth the wait; it is very well written and so easy to read. The author continues to take readers into the world of BDSM, anger, angst and love, which she does it brilliantly.

Derek is a powerful Dom, often alone outside of he's circle, keeping himself to himself, which make him vulnerable; however he is very caring towards those he trusts. I liked Derek from the start, there isn't anything really not to like.

Samantha is a passionate woman and takes no nonsense. She has a big attitude which makes her easy to like and like her everyone does. She attracts people easily, which in turn attracts Derek to her. Initially I found Samantha to be quite annoying but I warmed too her quickly enough.

The connection between Derek and Samantha is powerful and as the reader I found myself getting hot under the collar! This was the type of book that I hesitated to put down and couldn’t wait to pick back up again. I absolutely enjoyed every word.

Read on behalf of a Book Lovers Emporium.

We find ourselves diving into book 4 of Elizabeth's Elite Dom of Washington series. What a great way to start and get hooked on Derek and Samantha's story.
He is a successful businessman as well as club owner. The opening scene for me set the tone of the book an you know it's going to heat up.
Derek doesn't let anyone get close to him. He watches from a distance. Soon Samantha is a hired dancer replacing an act at Derek's newest club. Does he let his mind wander when he see the silk fly.
You want to see them together but his past can only allow Samantha to remain at arm's length.

You have to get the book to find out whether they can deal with the past in order to have a future. This story is well built, it's hot and one you cannot put down!

Lucky is the first book that I have reviewed by Elizabeth SaFleur and it is the 4th book in the Elite Doms of Washington Series and each book can be read as a standalone. Thankfully since I started on this book.

Lucky is Billionaire Derek Damon Wright and Samantha Rose’s story. Derek first sees Samantha as she is doing some aerial work at opening night in his nightclub.

This is an insta-love story. Everything seems to happen very fast.

Derek is an Alpha Male which I love. Although, I wanted to kick him a couple of times for him to get back on track. And, Samantha is a very lucky girl to wined and dined! And, even though she is submissive she knew what she wanted and didn’t let their relationship go when Derek got cold feet.

I loved this book and I look forward to reading more of Elizabeth SaFleur’s books. I give Lucky 4.5 stars. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This was my least favorite of the series. I never really felt a connection between the H and h beyond the sexual because the tenderness was missing from the H's treatment of her. He was attracted to her, showed jealousy and protectiveness, but very little tenderness. We never got to see any aftercare except him watching him her sleep while he went over and over in his mind why they wouldn't work long term, which frankly became repetitive and cowardly by the end of the book. He spent most of the book setting her up to fail him by making it all about what he needed from her in the relationship but not explaining the D/s to a person brand new to the lifestyle. I didn't respect him as a Dom because of that.

If you have been following the series all along and want to see a little bit of advancement from the other characters, then you might want to read this one. If you are new to the series, this one is the weakest link so far and the previous books are much better.

Absolutely brilliant! That is what this entire series is along with his incredible book. I've been curious about Derek's character since the very beginning and so much was answered in his story. He is part of the Accendos crew as I call them, and is the one who seemed to be the most mysterious. Until Samantha comes along and blows his world. One look at her and he knows he wants more with her, and wants to show her his lifestyle, but is she up for it?? Samantha is a kind, beautiful dancer who when she meets Derek, is totally entranced by him. But can she break down the huge barriers he puts up? Why does he have such barriers?? When these two get together, their chemistry is off the wall sizzling! I feel in love with these characters! You just know in your heart that they should be together, but life sometimes just gets in the way! I truly loved this story and all the rest in this series and so will you. This author has a complete new fan in me. Just phenomenal!

Derek and Samantha are white hot together. From the first time they saw each other you felt their attraction. Derek is a virile, powerful, successful and Dominant. But he holds himself apart from everyone but his inner circle which makes him vulnerable and a bit sad. His giving and caring ways towards those he trusts give him warmth and humanity. Sam's is talented, sassy and no nonsense. Her openness and upbeat attitude towards those around her made her likeable, charming and genuine. Her ability to connect with others draw Derek to her more and more.

I loved this story. It was sensual, erotic and compelling. Add in some mystery, intrigue and a bit of danger, you've got an extremely entertaining reading experience. Each book in The Elite Doms of Washington is well written with powerful storylines and complex likeable characters. This latest in series is no exception.

LUCKY is a wonderful story, like the three other books in this series, all of which I had purchased – Lovely, Untouchable and Perfect. While characters from the other stories make their appearance in Lucky, it can certainly be read as a stand-alone as there is sufficient explanation to make their history clear. What makes it a wonderful story are the two key characters, Derek and Samantha, who are well drawn characters that learn and change gradually as they interact with each other and deal with problems thrown their way. There is a lot of loving and sex in the book, as well as nicely written BDSM episodes, and the HEA is satisfying and makes good sense. I was given an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review, which this is.
