I just cannot follow this story at all. It’s all over the place, and in some areas it seems like entire chunks of conversation are missing. Just really, really not good.

The opening to Haley and Lachlan’s story was so much more than I expected. If you haven’t read the previous series starring Sebastian, Roger, and Malcolm Steele…do so NOW! Yes, I knew Haley always had a thing for her “cousin,” but I didn’t know that it started so long ago. Who knew that in a flash she would go from his “Baby Girl” to his “Little Temptress!” What would a Steele story be without a little drama?? Haley proves to be the willing submissive that heats Lachlan to his core, and Lachlan’s Alpha Dom drives Haley insane in all the best ways. However, their families don’t know that their hopelessly in love, except for the moms and Lydie and Harris…the rest of the Steele bros are side-eyeing Lachlan and questioning Haley which is driving her insane. Haley is special, intelligent, and independent, but being the baby of a very well-known wealthy family has her under a microscope and her brothers always at the ready. My hope is that Lachlan will stay true to his word and not hurt her, because that could definitely spell disaster for the Steele/Jackson family dynamics. I can’t wait for more, more, more of this powerful couple.

Well worth the wait!! When my notification went off that the book was here while I was in my WFH office I was too excited. I could not take it so I decided to use some comp time and take the rest of the afternoon off to get started. That's how much I anticipate the release of new books by Ms. Shelton.
This will not disappoint. I grabbed a bottle of wine went to of the back of the book so I could find the music list on YouTube. You have to set the mood, right? Made my snack tray and changed into my comfy house teddy and got to it!. If you have read the books in order even thought you don't have to. You know that this story has been subtle in the back ground thru all three books about her Alpha Dom brothers. Just as I expected Haley knows how to handle strong men because of those Brothers.

If this is your 1st book by this author take a breath, sit back and enjoy. This is hotter than Frank's sauce! I don't like to give anything away so believe me you won't be disappointed. The ending well oh boy here we go. Looks like she took some tips from Lola and the girls. Can't wait for book 2!
I'll probably read again by the time book 2 comes out. Lola and Sabastian are so freaking hot I've read all 3 books twice as those books were my introduction to the world of BDSM.

Lachlan...prince or frog??? Guess it depends on what day of the week you ask Haley. Her brothers thinks he's a toad trying to get with their baby sister but she should have the right to love who she loves just like they do. I love their moms and the support they offer the forbidden couple according to the protective men in her life. She proved her strength to stand up for what she wants when HE couldn't get it together. How is Lachlan going to fix this mess he created and who's loyalty matters most to him??!!! This reading is NOT for the faint of heart as there's A LOT of colorful words and graphic everything else!!

“Shut The Front Door”! Sweet Baby girl Haley Steel are in a secret relationship with older brother best friend and Alpha Dom Lachlan Jackson. Lachlan was warn by his best friend Baz not to pursue his sister ever! The Steel and the Jackson family have a very close relationship with each other. Especially, because of their mother’s, who are best friends. They finally get together and decided to keep their relationship a secret. After a while, Haley wanted their relationship out in the opening for everyone to know they are in love. But, Lachlan is worry about what would happen to his relationship with his best friend and the Steel and Jackson relationship, especially in business. With the obstacles in their way and still hiding their relationship. Haley Steel have to make very important decision ….. one where Lachlan won’t like. Really, can’t wait for part 2!!!

Tempt My Desires Lachlan and Haley Part 1 I just loved it. To see how far back their feelings for each other go from when she was 16 and he was in college. They have this love but there are so many obstacles in their way or should I say the one Lachlan has. It's like his friendship with Sebastian is more important than his love for Haley. Haley is doing all she can to fight for them but it just is not enough for one person to carry the relationship. Her love for Lachlan proves to be too much and I was crushed at the ending and can't wait for Part II to see where Haley goes from there and Lachlan wakes up and find her gone. I loved part I.

Writing anything is hard. That said I believe C L Shelton has a good base and character mapping for the stories she writes and themes and dynamics that can be truly engaging. I like the multi-level story ideas and the obvious research into the scene development. I'm not a BDSM fan and even tolerated that as described.
Unfortunately, in all fairness- although the series is awesome and could be good reading- I should not encounter the amount of "copy and paste" across novels I purchase. I did in-depth search and comparison of the previous books and was insulted by the repeated information and the numerous times exact scenarios and dialogues were included almost as if by"search and replace" but for different characters in the other books.

I have read them all, and think it does not speak well to the integrity of the writer. It's not about artistic license here it's plain and simple wrong.

Love the book

This is the first book in the STEELE International-Jackson Corporation series od 6 books but the first book in the Lachlan & Haley trilogy. The author has repeated some of the things from the original STEELE International series in the descriptions but so far not in the extreme was or extreme detail as she kept repeating them in the first series. Being able to see how things have evolved between Lachlan (Haley"s oldest brothers best friend) and Haley from when they were younger to now when the begin a relationship is great. Seeing how far back their love for each other goes. The spicy scenes are good but not as great and the ones in the Malcom & Starr trilogy. The biggest hurl they face so far is Haley's older brothers. I understand Haley's thoughts and decision at the end of this book, however, I am hoping for a big change in the next 2 books.

This a part of the STEELE International, Inc. series by Shelton. The first part in Lachlan and Haley's story. Well written and perfectly narrated, I loved the dual point of view as well as the dual narration. Haley has been in love / lust with Lachlan since forever but these two familys are tight - like family and she thinks she has no chance - but the feelings are reciprocated and the chemistry between them is undeniable - but how will their families feel? Will this be the beginning of a HEA or will the forbidden feel of the family dynamic be the end before it begins?

Haley Steele, the baby of the Steele family, has had a crush on Lachlan Jackson, the heir apparent of the Jackson family since they were young. Years later, they finally get together. The catch is that they must keep it a secret, especially from Haley’s brothers who keep a close eye on her.
This was such a hot read; I couldn’t put it down! The chemistry between the two is undeniable and I can’t wait to read more about this couple

Loved the dual narration of Sierra Kline and Logan McAllister, perfect.
Haley has been in love for years, with her brothers best friend, he sees her as family a cousin. She keeps her lusting under wraps , until Lachlan makes a move.
Lachlan has been fantasising over his best friend’s younger sister, for a long time . When they get together it is a blissful night of sensuous intimacy.
But is it just a conquest. How will her family feel about them!?

Ms. CLS has/ is written/writing an outstanding series with crossover stories, etc. I find myself falling down the STEELE tunnel and then being distracted by a JACKSON one. Lachlan and Haley were so great together and this was a fun and fast read. Excellent banter between the two of them and her family was really entertaining as well.
