That is book 11 - I do believe there will be others. Hopefully. These short books were a welcome diversion from most books I read. I enjoy books with intense stories so these were a nice diversion.

I am enjoying seeing Annie and Finn's relationship get stronger, and I’m so rooting for them. This case had a difficult to guess twist. It was fun to read!
I still just cannot wrap my head around the many challenges Annie goes through being deaf. It just really makes you think how hard life would be. I’m totally addicted to these short stories. Can’t wait to read them all!

I try to follow Stephen King’s advice to improve my writing by reading a lot. There are times, however, when I only have a half hour between my writing and other tasks. That’s when I turn to Christopher Greyson’s Finn and Annie mini mysteries.
Chris is well known for his Detective Jack Stratton series. He has entertained me for hours with the stories about the famous detective and his significant other (now wife) Alice. Those are comfortable characters to return to after reading heavy stuff like Jean Paul Sartre, the man who created existentialism and other heavy stuff. Greyson’s Stratton is the perfect antidote. And, after a while, you get to miss Jack and Alice. So that’s my “go to” for entertainment.
A brilliantly prolific writer he is, Greyson created the Finn and Annie spinoff for those who need a dose of normalcy but don’t have much time. They are on Kindle Unlimited and each book takes less than an hour to savor. Such was the case of The Case of the Hot Car.
This mini mystery is, sure enough, about a stolen car destroyed by fire; thus a doubly hot car. Insurance investigator Finn and photographer Annie solve this, as well as all the other mysteries. Finn was in the Army with Jack Stratton and wears prosthetic legs, while Annie is the deaf single mother of two. They are progressing through the cases, while avoiding jumping into a difficult relationship…THAT YOU KNOW IS GOING TO HAPPEN!

Anouther entertaining short nystery.
I do not usually read short stories. As a fan of Christopher Greyson I though his were worth reading. I was hooked from the first one. If you like a little mystery some, romance and four delightful characters. These are for you, you will not be disappointed, and thoroughly entertained.

I can't tell you how thrilled I was to see there was a new Finn and Annie story! I really adore them, and each installment keeps getting better and better. I love seeing their relationship progress. I so felt for Annie and can't imagine the challenges of living with deafness, but Finn does such a great job. The mystery was also great and something I never saw coming! Can't wait for more!

I'm terrible at reviews. I love these books. They make you feel good and in today's world that's a huge plus. I highly recommend all of Mr. Greyson's books. You will never be sorry you took the time to read them.

I have been following this series and have read all the books. I really like Finn and Annie. The mysteries tend to be kind of simple but that's also the appeal for me. I am not reading it for a gritty crime whodunit. I read it for the sweet romance between the MCs. In this one, Annie expressed a lot of insecurities about herself and in her budding relationship with Finn. It is so unfounded. Finn is so into her and cares for her deeply.
These stories are too short! It makes me hungry for the next one.
Content: Clean. A few kisses (some passionate). No violence or strong language.
