Okay so I’m going to start off by saying I REALLY enjoyed the first book. It was the kind of book that you finish super fast. However I was disappointed in its sequel.
Okay so first off the book goes into a whole sex trafficking Doms wife is running a sex ring love triangle mess that I don’t even know how to wrap my head around. I felt like I could definitely see Heather being involved in the last book so that wasn’t a surprise but the parents!? Shockkkeerrrr. For me atleast.
I just felt like this whole sex trafficking brothers business just didn’t fit with the first half of the first novel. Like it started as forbidden romance and then turned into a thriller murder mystery? Idk what to even call this.. a little bit of everything.
CONS:
#1 The author really went overboard this book with the describing words and detail. While it was a trait I admired some in Unlawful Temptations it was overkill in this sequel! I felt like the protagonists inner monologue took up so much of the novel.
#2 Kat and Dominic basically being apart the whole novel. They were the reason I loved book 1 and then being apart just made the book less interesting.
#3 I HATE THE START OF THE LOVE TRIANGLE.

Absolutely notttttt.
The feelings that Kat and Dominic had in book 1 got thrown away for some guy she’s meeting whose involved in the sex trafficking ring. She keeps mentioning Blake’s dark eyes.. blah blah blah. Meanwhile poor Dominic would do anything to get her back. I just felt like Dominic was her true love and when the love triangle got thrown in I was OUT. I don’t like love triangles especially with couples who ar established it feels traitorous and also like they never cared for the other person.
I had to quit it. I skimmed the second half but honestly found out she was still kidnapped and couldn’t do it. The book did not appeal to me without her and Dominic together. And I sure as hell didn’t want to read about her and Blake.

You might want to grab a snack and sit down for this one. Not the review. The book. This second installment of the series is poetry from start to finish (if you know, you know). The chemistry between the leads is amazing and the whole story is so immersive yet somehow still fast-paced.
The twists and turns in this novel will keep you on the edge of your seat guessing what’s going to happen next and even when you guess right, the story will still surprise you. I also cannot overstate how beautiful the writing in this book is.
If you like sexy spitfire ladies, dangerous love, and a story that will keep you turning the pages even when you should be doing something else, pick up this book. I was extremely impressed.

The Star-Crossed Trilogy continues and answers I didn’t even know I was looking for or even wanting come into play. The twists this book had came out of NOWHERE, LIKE AAHHHH.

I’m lost fir words, idk man. I don’t know what to say. I adored Kat’s sarcasm and outspoken personality, Dominic’s protective nature especially towards Kat. And then BLAKE, Blake , BLAKE👀🤭

Read Unlawful Temptations, Check the TW, and read the Synopsis
We are met with Dom and Kat right where Unlawful Temptations left off. This book will make you feel all the feels. You will go on an emotional rollercoaster when you think it is going to go one way. It makes a hard left. You will get more of a glimpse of Kat and Dom’s relationship. The love between the two of them is like fire sparklers going off. We have just barely scratched the surface of the love between Kat and Dom. But will she ever tell him how she really feels?
We see love blossom and love loss. For one wants to have, one must sacrifice. We meet with new characters; they may be her keepers in the dark, but she finds light in one. Once I started reading, I knew that I was hooked and wanted to read more. It is going to be on my most read book list. I will go back to it when I have nothing I want to read or need an outstanding story to read. If I could give this book 100/10 stars, I would. I can’t wait for book three. I need to know what happens.

I don’t even know what to tell you guys. This sequel did not disappoint. I’m just SO confused on my feelings right now!
Unlawful Temptations (book 1) was one of my fave reads this year. A sexy as sin cop, hires a nanny, falls for said nanny, ooh but what about his wife?! It’s a delicious, forbidden romance that I became obsessed with.
SO WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED?!
We went from a few grey clouds to the darkest pits of hell and I want my god damn easy taboo romance novel between Dom and Kat back please!😂
Haha but in all seriousness, this book took a dark turn in comparison and total opposite to book one and I’m not gunna lie.. I loved every second. I knew book 2 was dark but did I expect the story going where it did? Not at all! Did I expect the reasonings behind everything? Absofuckinglutely not! I honestly couldn’t predict one thing that happened in this book.
Let’s also throw in a brand new character who I think may own my soul and now you have a very confused me who literally doesn’t know what to do with herself or figure out how to feel! DID I WANT THAT TO HAPPEN, DID I NOT? DID I FEEL GUILTY? SURE DID BUT ALSO GUILTY PLEASURE? AHHHHH I JUST DON’T KNOW!
I’m sorry. That’s my final thought on this book. In the famous words of me ‘I just don’t fucking know’
Go read this book. It’s torture ✌🏻

Seducing Danger picks up right where we left off with Unlawful Temptations. We get more in depth with Kat and Doms relationship, and I adore these characters. The love they have between them, how hard they fight for that love, and the way Dom is so protective of Kat is just beautiful.
This book will have you on an emotional rollercoaster like no other. There are AMAZING highs but boy, are the lows really low. The twists and turns you wont expect at all either! And im pretty sure Alexandria Lee was trying to kill me with that cliffhanger 😭😭😭

We meet Blake who is a character I hated to love but by the end I loved anyway he’s such a tortured poetic soul, my heads fu*ked thank you very much Alexandria.

Wow just wow!! This book is such an incredible rollercoaster of emotion. There are so many highs and lows but you feel every moment! I love love love both Kat and Dom. They are both such strong willed, fun loving characters with amazing chemistry. I can definitely say that I didn't see this story unfolding the way it did but I loved every minute. Alexandria Lee has such incredible writing skills. She draws you into her characters and story. I can't wait to read more!!

I can't wait for book 3 now to get get to read and to know where she is going to lead me and what her characters will do.

I received an ARC of Alexandria Lee’s Seducing Danger in exchange for an honest review.
**I wasn’t living in a romance. I wasn’t living in a fairytale. I was the star of a goddamn tragedy… And this was only intermission.**
And what an intermission! The sequel to Unlawful Temptations will leave you breathless and on the edge of a precipice from that first very first chapter.
Finally giving into their unbelievable chemistry, Dom and Kat are once again thrown into a storm of darkness and betrayal. Will they survive once the downfall has quelled or will Kat’s shell harden again, leaving protective Dom on the outside?
Kat has matured within the second book and is learning she might need more than herself to feel safe. Her character development is on point throughout each chapter and I have loved seeing her grow despite all the havoc in her life. She is one tough cookie and anyone else in her shoes would have given up.
The chapters in Dominic’s POV were a fantastic addition to the story and well thought out by the author to move the story along. I cannot wait to read the next instalment of the Star-Crossed series so all my questions are answered. Maybe then I can stop screaming at that cliffhanger. But I have no doubt Alexandria has some dark twists up her sleeve that will leave me reeling.

Finally giving into their unbelievable chemistry, Dom and Kat are once again thrown into a storm of darkness and betrayal. Will they survive once the downfall has quelled or will Kat’s shell harden again, leaving protective Dom on the outside?
Kat has matured within the second book and is learning she might need more than herself to feel safe. Her character development is on point throughout each chapter and I have loved seeing her grow despite all the havoc in her life. She is one tough cookie and anyone else in her shoes would have given up.
The chapters in Dominic’s POV were a fantastic addition to the story and well thought out by the author to move the story along. I cannot wait to read the next instalment of the Star-Crossed series so all my questions are answered. Maybe then I can stop screaming at that cliffhanger. But I have no doubt Alexandria has some dark twists up her sleeve that will leave me reeling.

This book was amazing! When I read the first book, Unlawful Temptations, I was eager to see where Dom and Kat's story would lead and this book did NOT disappoint. I loved the little moments between Kat and her younger sister, Charlotte, and how Kat was willing to risk her life to protect those she loves. Alexandria Lee has such a way with words, from describing the relationship between Kat and Dom with beautiful metaphors pertaining to lightning and thunder, to how the relationship between Kat and you-know-who grows. I was so frustrated when the author left the book at a cliffhanger, but I look forward to reading more from this wonderful Alexandria Lee!

Twisty Turny Steamy High-Octane Fun!
So blown away by this installment, if I had any expectations for what was going to happen after book one they were completely shot out of the water. This book kept me on the edge of my seat and I am DYING for book three!

The story will take a dark twisted turn and I can promise you, if you think book 1 was full of drama, you're definitely not ready for book 2. Buckle up sisters, you're in for one hell of a ride!!
I can't say much without giving away spoilers but just a heads up, you will be introduced to a new character called Blake. You might fall in love with him (like I did) and wonder who to ship Kat with. or not, if Dom is still your man. & that's completely okay because Blake was mine first 😏

Ok so I've just this minute finished reading this so ignore if I ramble too much but I need to clear my brains thoughts lol
So Seducing Danger is book 2 of this series and jumps straight back into the angsty goodness that book 1 left us on.. Kat and Dom are being questioned after the kidnap of Kats bestfriend Layla... and if you think that book 1 would have all the drama then think again as this story is a blooming rollercoaster of dips bumps and angst!!!
Love these guys together but I especially love Kat... her fiestiness.. her sarcasm and just her in general is perfect.
Dom is his super protective alpha self throughout and you can't help but melt for him ..and although I'm not giving away any spoilers all I can say is Blake!!!!
I need more Blake.. like now lol
Absolutely jammed packed with so much information and shocks you can't help but be drawn right into this book and not want to put it down again until all words are devoured.... book 3 can't ce quick enough to see where this story goes next!

Huge downer
This should of stated it would lead to either a RH or an unfaithful brat. A cop who truly loves her risking his job for her. And she ends up with a bad guy who wreaked her chance at freedom. Wish it ended with book 2 as book 3 will be a waste of time. What you going to give her yet another man in that one to. She has 2 little girls waiting at home wanting a family and she turns into A whore. Hopefully she doesn't make it out of book 3. So unfair to the cop who has a crappy life. She made it better just to be unfaithful. Glad she owns up to not knowing what love it. So selfish

Seducing danger is the second book of the Star-crossed series.
And I couldn’t recommend it enough. This book is like a drug, once you start you will not be able to stop reading until you’re done. Not only did I fall in love with this book but also with one character in particular.

This was an ARC. First of all I'm just speechless 🙊, um yeah Mrs Alexandria Lee did me wrong with that cliffhanger. This was for sure an emotional roller coaster, even with that said I loved it and enjoyed every minute of it. I can't wait for the third book. I need answers

The best stories and the best romances are the ones that grab onto any emotion it can pull out of you and toys with it. That’s exactly what Seducing Danger did. I thought I knew where this story was going, and while I was right in some areas, I was deadly wrong in others. Because this is the second book in the series, I am not going into any plot details because it would majorly spoil future readers, but I will say that this book picks up directly after the ending of book one and if you’ve read book one then you know how insane that cliffhanger was. Speaking of cliffhangers, yep Seducing Danger wasn’t any kinder to us readers compared to book one. We are most definitely left hanging from a cliff, worried about the well being of all characters (ok maybe not all since Heather and a few choice others can all burn).
We get a taste here and there of happiness and warmth and like a true dark romance it’s ripped away again and again leaving us readers sick to our stomachs and spiking our anxiety.
I will say that while I have all the love and respect for Kat….that girl pulls some dumb shit that will make you so frustrated and angry. Like I understand her motives but that didn’t make what she did any less stupid. She is literally that dumb girl in the horror movies that hears a noise and decides to go check out the basement. But then again, if she hadn’t we wouldn’t have seen just how foul and dark and deep this shit goes and we also wouldn’t have met a new character who I hope comes into play later but I’m also so concerned for Kat and Dom’s relationship if it does because let’s face it I’m half way obsessed and in love with this new character.
Just like in book one, the writing hooked me and it flowed perfectly. I’d say the steam factor is high in the beginning but it lessens as the book goes on due to circumstances that our characters get themselves into. I will say that this second book compared to book one is definitely darker and deals with really heavy topics (check TWs).
TWs: kidnapping, sex trafficking, physical and sexual assault, attempted rape, drugs, drug overdose, death, PTSD, panic attacks, grieving, prostitution

Seducing Danger is not another book to read or add to your library, it is a book to own and cherish because it will touch your heart in ways unimaginable.
This second book will pull the rug from under your feet, keep you on your toes, definitely will steal gasps, tears and laughter straight from your heart. You would be taken completely by surprise no way to know what's hitting you next. I love the characters' development, the build up to the whole thing is phenomenal. Thank you Alexandria Lee for such a work of art, can't wait for book three😍.

As always an amazing book! The way Alexandria can share the characters feelings its mind blowing. I love the turn this story takes (even tho my heart breaks all over again) , sometimes I feel like the descriptions are a little bit too much, but nontheless a beautiful book. A must read romance!!
It’s rare that I say I enjoyed the 2nd book in the series more than the first but this was the case for this book! It is fully loaded with romance, so much more steam, so much drama and emotional turmoil.

Alexandria has done it again! Book two in the star-crossed series was absolutely amazing and even better than the first. It’s full of angst, suspense, romance, spice, and SO much more.
Dom and Kat are back as thunder and lightning and create the perfect storm together. Their relationship melds and as Kat puts it “Together, we were such a beautiful tragedy.”
Dom and his breathless love for Kat will warm your soul:
~~“I’ve fallen in love with you several times since I met you, Ms. Sanders.” ~~
~~ “And I love you…Deeply and wildly out of my control.”
The character development of Kat and Dom was fantastic but the growth of a few other side characters come into play in this book. In particular, a friend is made by Kat who I am fascinated with now – I can’t wait to get to the third book to find out more. (Sorry, you’ll have to read to find out who I’m talking about!)
Overall, this book gets 5/5 stars from me. Thank you, Alexandria, for yet another phenomenal novel. Book 3 won’t be here soon enough!

The character development of Kat and Dom was fantastic but the growth of a few other side characters come into play in this book. In particular, a friend is made by Kat who I am fascinated with now – I can’t wait to get to the third book to find out more. (Sorry, you’ll have to read to find out who I’m talking about!)
Overall, this book gets 5/5 stars from me. Thank you, Alexandria, for yet another phenomenal novel. Book 3 won’t be here soon enough!
*Fair warning – there is a HUGE cliff hanger and while I’m all for the thrill of waiting, my heart will be hurting until we discover what happens.

First of all I have to say how totally impressed I am with the writing in this trilogy! Alexandria Lee is fairly new to the book world yet she continues to write such emotional scenes, intense passion and incredible suspense. This book was impossible to put down as it continued to twist and turn sending my thoughts in every direction! I've read many books where the passion is rushed and under developed but I was totally drawn in as Ms. Lee took her time and brought forward scenes that I'll never forget, EVER! Gentle, passionate scenes with the right amount of commanding heat that kept me reeling for more!! Kat has a strong character, she does what she wants even when Dominic tells her otherwise. She keeps him on his toes and I love her feisty character!! Dominic is definitely every girl's dream come true BBF. Strong alpha hot with a heart of gold! I can't get enough of this couple together and enjoyed this incredible ride! So looking forward to book 3!!!!
