Another cliffhanger...
The story continues & has been outlined in the blurb & more extensively in previous reviews so I won't go into detail. It was well written but I have to concur with some judgements about the hero's character. Loathed his trashy friend with benefits & I'm hoping the next book will bring some reasons & understanding & less confusion. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.

Derrick and Sarah had loved each other until her past caught up with her. She was arrest on the night they were going to tell each other how they felt. Derrick didn't know what was in Sarah's past just assumed he knew from what the media had let out. While Sarah was gone Derrick tried to move on, he had a female named Ashley that he was having sex with but there was no commitment on his part and he made sure she knew this. Derrick broke things off with Ashley. Sarah showed back up after six months. Derrick found out and was beside himself with questions and anger. He knew he was not still in love with her because she lied to him and didn't tell him about her past. Derrick's boss died and Sarah went to the funeral. Sarah told Derrick the sorted details of what was in her past and that she was not arrested as he thought she was. Derrick fought hard to keep his feelings in check but that was to no avail. They ended up having sex in his office. When Sarah left he heard footsteps and thought it was her returning. It ended up being Ashley. She was mad and not in her right mind. She was hurt and wanted Derrick for herself always. She was talking some nonsense and had a crazy look on her face. Derrick tackled her and she made the comment that if she can't have him no one can. She left a fake note on Sarah's car for her find. As Derrick got up and ran to find Sarah he was shocked and just said Sarah. CLIFFHANGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What was on the note. Is Sarah ok? Will Ashley get Derrick? Hold on to your seat and let's see what happens next.

First off, this ends with a cliffhanger....Don't especially like those. This book brings us Sarah, Derrick and Ashley. Derrick and Ashley are in a "friends with benefits" kind of relationship, as Derrick is having a hard time getting over Sarah. Derrick believes that Sarah lied as she was in some trouble with the police. However, Derrick has never let her explain the situation. When Sarah comes back , Derrick tries to avoid her at all costs, but that doesn't work, especially because of Sarah's neighbor Mrs. Ausley. Once Sarah explains it to Derrick, they finally realize how much they still care for each other, however, Ashley is not happy with the whole situation, and it seems at the end of the book, Ashley goes off the rails. I'm giving this book 4 stars, as I'm not sure where this story is going. I guess we will find out soon. I did receive an arc for an honest review.

Sarah and Derrick's story pick up six months after Sarah was taken from her home by the cops. Derrick is running the ranch as on the outside appears that he has moved on, but his heart is still with Sarah. Sarah has returned hoping to stay on the down low, but in a small town that is more difficult that it seems. With a hand of Mrs. Ausley and her matchmake tries, she puts Sarah and Derrick in the same story, but Derrick fights his feeling and leaves without hearing what Sarah has to say. This put Derrick in a tough spot as women he had be with, Ashley, realized she never had Derrick.

This part of their story will have you on the edge of your set with so many question. Will he forgive her? Will they get back together? What will happen to the ranch? Is Ashley jealously? Just when you think things with Sara and Derrick are headed to a HEA things take a sharp turn to "Oh My"....

She’s Back!!! Part Two Sarah is back. Derrick is beside himself with anger, denial and hatred. He believes he has no feelings for Sarah because she is a liar and a thief two things he despises in a person. She’s been gone from his life for 6 months with no contact whatsoever. He is absolutely beside himself with Hurt. But in his heart of hearts he knows he still loves her. Just a snippet of a book enough to keep me begging for more, yes you guessed it. One Hell of a cliffhanger!! Oh My Word!!! Issues...Derrick, Sarah and the girl Derrick leaves behind. OR SO HE THINKS!! Can’t wait for the next. Part 3 “The Second Chance”. This is part two of Cowboy Ranch City and actually picks up right at the cliff-hanger that ended the first book "The Beginning"

Sarah has returned to the small town that Derrick lives in after been arrested and six months has passed Derrick wasn't sure what had happened or if he would ever see Sarah again and he has tried to move on and has started to date another woman Ashley Of course this small town wants Derrick and Sarah together and rally around to make that happen. When Sarah and Derrick talk they realise that there is far more to the story than Derrick wants to accept and they realise they still love one another but how will Ashley handle that You will have to read to see Now waiting for "The Second Chance" the next instalment in this read

This is the second book in the Cowboys Ranch City Series. This book picks up from Sarah being arrested in the first book. Sarah returns and Derrick is confused about his feelings for her. He hates a thief and it brings back bad memories from his past. This book is overflowing with drama and emotion. It is well written and has a good flow. Ella Cooper does a great job of developing the characters and weaving them into the story. Ashley the girl that he has been seeing while Sarah was away adds some extra tension. An engaging story that will keep your attention until the end where it ends in a cliffhanger. I received an advance review copy for free, and I voluntarily chose to review it.

After Sarah's arrest Derrick has tried to move on with Ashley the woman that was taking care of his boss, Mr. Garson at the ranch. Then one day out of the blue Sarah returns to town, Derrick refuses to have anything to do with her, because he hates thieves and gamblers. She tries to explain what happened, but he will not listen, even Mrs. Ausley's interference does not help the situation. We thought that Ashley understood that Derrick was not over Sarah and had nicely dropped out of the picture, but Derrick was not that lucky. Watch for part three as the mystery and intrigue continues to find out what Ashley did to Sarah. Another edge of your chair read.

Sarah and her past catch up to her, she was keeping her past under wraps. Derrick thinks she is arrested and tries to move on. Ashely is a friends with benefits as a distraction to get over Sarah. Sarah comes back and she explains what happened and what is in her past. Sarah and Derrick reconnect. Ashley is not happy about that and confronts Derrick. Ashley leaves a note on Sarah's car for her to find. Cliffhanger. UGH! Derrick and Sarah are wonderful characters and the attraction is strong, Ashely is the crazy addition, the story flows well. I cannot wait to see what happens next. I did preorder the book. Great series.

Derrick and Sarah were separated when cops showed up at the house and arrested her... six months ago. Now she is back and a kind neighbor plots to get the two back together again. Derrick and Sarah still have intense feelings about each other, but a third wheel in the mix, Ashley, plans on making a big mess of things. The characters are strong and the truth helps. Suspense builds in the last chapter to continue in the next part of the story. Loved the neighbor and the florist. Would love to punch Ashley in the face myself.

As book two starts Sarah returns to town after six months being away. Derrick has moved on to Ashley a girl that he’s seeing in a friends with benefits to get over Sarah. When he finds out Sarah is back he avoids her. But Sarah’s neighbor thinks they need to talk and sets them up. They talk and see tells him what happened. He feels bad but they both realize that they love each other and get back together. But Ashley doesn’t take it well as she’s being kicked to the curb! What will she do? What a return! First thing first. I hate Jarold. So. That’s done. As for Ashley, she’s only a wounded woman. In love with Derrick she doesn’t see a way out other than to turn to drastic things... things we do not know about yet thanks to this enormous cliffhanger! Thank you very much for that Ella. Who thought that the Beginning ended on one will learn... I am scared to call it the mother of all cliffhangers because.. yeah, there is more to come... and I am patiently impatiently waiting for The Second Chance to come along.

And we kicked off part 2 of the Cowboys Ranch City Series.
We pick up where part one ended in a cliffhanger when Sarah and Derrick were met by the police who came to arrest her. When she suddenly returns after 6 months, he does not know what to do with the feelings for her.
There is enough drama and even murder in the story, but forget Ashley who is haunted again.

Part 2 is also super built up and put down by Ms Cooper and you are completely sucked into this story again and yes this also ends in a cliffhanger where you eagerly wait for part 3 to continue reading how everyone is doing in the 3rd part .

This book is definitely recommended !!!

This book picks up where the 1st ended with Sarah being arrested. Now 6 months later she returns to pick up her life. Derrick has moved on with Ashley in a friends with benefits relationship. No commitment on his part but Ashley has other ideas. Derrick has never gotten over Sarah and she is finally able to tell him the truth of her past. They end up declaring their love for one another only Ashley throws in a big wrench and Derrick watches in horror as Sarah’s car crashes into a truck. Another cliffhanger ending. A quick read that keeps you turning page after page. Love this series.

This part is Book Two of the series and picks up where Book One left off. They MUST be read in order or you will have no idea about what is going on. Sarah has returned to town, hoping to pick up where she and Derrick left off. However, he has moved on trying to get Sarah out of his mind. Will they be able to get back together? Cannot wait for the next book.

wow this book was so good. Once again short but sweet and filled with suspense and maybe even angry towards Derrick.


It seems that Sarah and Derrick cannot catch a break. After Derrick finally let his guard down again and showed Sarah he was still in love with her. Another tragedy happened.

Can Sarah and Derrick’s love survive this time???
We will have to wait until the next book.

Before reading any of Ella’s book, I was into long chapter books but now I can say I enjoy short stories as much as long ones.

The Return is book 2 of the Cowboys Ranch City series by Ella Cooper. This book is a story of love that was lost but then returned. But how Ms. Cooper tells this story is amazing. The pages seem to turn themselves. I love all the characters in this book. They each have their part in making this story very interesting!!

I am so lost in this, as book 2 brings Sarah back after 6 months we catch up on Derrick and what's happening since that never to be forgotten night. Plain sailing is a terminology that cant be used here as it's a rollercoaster ride. Great read. I voluntarily reviewed this book.

A short, opposites attract romance. A little suspense, a lot of mystery and intrigue.

Derrick watched as the police escorted Sarah out of the house and out of his life. "Now she's back in town and I was scared at my curiosity to hear her side of things". But has he waited to long to make his move?

Sarah's back in town. She still loves Derrick, but wants him to persue her. But she knows if she wants him, that she has to go to him.

Sarah and Derrick prove that the truth will set you free you just may have to work for it. The drama and emotions in this book brings all the characters together just like a small town. Normally I don't like series with the same characters but this one has me on the edge waiting for the next one!

Well, Derrick has moved on with his life, when Sarah returns. It's not a warm and fuzzy moment, as Sarah has wished. As time goes on they keep running into each other with some firey meetings. Just as you think all will be well with their relationship - bam, another surprise!

Holy smokes since we left off with Sarah being hauled away by police poor Derrick was having a hard time until he ends up with Ashley and tries to forget about Sarah but can he ever get over his feelings for her? When Ashley ends up acting crazy will she do something to Derrick? This book will absolutely suck you in and keep you hooked but fair warning its another cliffhanger
