I've chosen to give this book 5* because it has brought so much information together into one book. Most of the other books on this subject are a lot less comprehensive. You could probably find most of the info on the internet, but only if you knew what to look for. For all the articles I had read online I hadn't come across many that mention the possible interactions with other medications that his book details or some of the other possible side effects that were mentioned.

I'm not on a psychedelic journey, but if I ever did choose to go down that path I feel well prepared and informed about what to expect. I recommend this book to anyone who is thinking about going down that path or has maybe just started out.

There are better books available on this subject. Poor writing and editing severely undermine what this book is trying to do. Spotswood’s reliability takes hit after hit because of spelling errors and sentence redundancy that could’ve been caught by a simple copy edit.
