Great collection of short stories of the hard nosed judicial officer Dredd.
Well written and drawn across the board. I like the varied angles and perspectives, often humorous but also serious at times.
The interplay between the very strict, almost inhumane, rule of the judges and the sense that Dredd is still a good guy with morals is fascinating.
Wagner doesn't easily give into virtue signalling here, but instead let the roles play themselves out against each other. He does make fun of the strictness at times, but not overly obvious for the most part. Somehow the stories never seem formulaic.
Impressive work from Wagner and a fun read from start to finish

A great collection of varying stories by different artists about Judge Dredd, a lawman from the post-nuclear future in Mega City One, a giant megapolis taking the entire East Coast of what used to be United States. It’s an interesting and refreshing look at the post-apocalyptic genre and multiple stories are all about different topics and tackle the persona of Judge Dredd and the realities of the city a bit differently from each other: from hunt for wild mutated giant spiders, to stories of a child of a famous Judge trying to make his way through the training as a Judge himself or a story of an unfortunate criminals trying to pull breaking-and-entering on Judge Dredd himself. A perfect introduction to the character if there is one.
