Melville was an American novelist, short story writer, and poet. He also worked as a schoolteacher, clerk, and sailor, and his writing was not well known at the time of his death; however, in years since Moby Dick has become known as one of the greatest novels of all time.
"The book is interesting because it is adventure story. it is about a young man Ishamel going with captain Abah to catch the great white whale. the great white whale ate the captain's leg so the captain wants to do revenge on him. They shoot him few times but the whale didn't give up. The whale had enough and went straight to the whaling ship. he cracked it into pieces and the crew was lost in the ocean. Ishamel luckily found a ship but he had no clue about the crew. It was surprising end for me I think this book is for people who like action stories and adventure." - Sunwoo K., 5A
