Still very cute and an easy read. Fewer jokes landed with me this time around though. Perfectly fine and fun for what it is though.

Oh, good. I re-read a middling book and now get to write my review on some new format of Goodreads that doesn't have the tag option built into the review editor and keeps annoyingly resizing the text box as I type. I guess that tracks.
So, why middling? Well, it's at least better than the first book, which was AWFUL; at least there's no "loopy juice" *drunken* escapades in this volume, but it's still a lot of the same joke:
- Kirby eats EVERYTHING
- Kirby cluelessly causes Dedede a lot of LITERAL pain
- Kirby and/or other childish characters act EXTREMELY immature (despite wanting to be mature)
- Kirby doesn't recognise anyone who has slightly changed their appearance (only twice in this but it's still often enough to not actually be that funny)
This volume at least is actually kid-friendly(-ish) vs. the aforementioned "loopy juice" incident, though there's a scene where the giant hamster has been peeing and his pee was frozen due to a curse.

I feel like I should take back the kid-friendly(-ish).
Luckily, this is a library book, so I at least didn't have to pay to re-read it, which I only ever did to support (however little) one of the translation artists. Thing is it's much more direct and efficient to just buy her original work, so... I'll do that! Still wanted to work toward my goal of reviewing every book I've ever read (within reason) at least.
On the whole, it's *fine* but I wouldn't as such recommend it, unless you REALLY like childish "humour" like what I've mentioned. It's also pretty readable even if you're not remotely familiar with Kirby, as long as you know the core game mechanic is "Kirby inhales other characters to get their abilities." (which they ran with as "Kirby inhales EVERYTHING")
The artist also muses in the bonus section that A.I. would make art and writing and everything easier to do (ugh!)... but then Kirby points out that it would put him out of a job (whoops!). So, back to work!
(I strongly remembered having a negative reaction to that, so it's strange that I *didn't* already have a review for this here?? Wonder what happened to the review I was certain I'd written??)

Another entertaining Kirby manga collection. The comedic routine of Kirby terrorizing Dedede hasn’t gotten old for me yet, and I love how creative the manga is with the various premises it sticks the cast into. A good amount of my enjoyment with these is also due to the sporadic author’s comments as a lot of serve as fun commentary from them revisiting their old art.

Nowhere near as good as the second one. The chapters just didn't have the same feel. Best one here was the sacred ice story.

Another week, another Kirby manga. This one spiced things up by adding in some human characters.

It was nice being reminded of the growing process artists and book creators go through. These stories were cute and funny. There was some good lessons too. Overall a joyful read.
