An omega with a complicated past falls for an alpha who doesn’t believe in fate.
A virgin omega living in secret is outed when his first heat hits at work! Just when he thinks things can’t get much worse, he bumps right into his secret crush who just so happens to be a smokin’ hot alpha!
Hana—an omega frequently mistaken for an alpha—works at a local cafe, and at 26 years old, he’s somehow never gone into heat and still retains his virginity. When his first heat finally hits, it’s in front of arrogant alpha Renjaku, a regular at his cafe he has a secret crush on. Will a sought-after alpha such as Renjaku take his coffee and go, or will he take something much sweeter instead?
I legit read all the reviews that were like "ok wtf is with the incest," promptly forgot about those reviews, read this, and went ok wtf is with the incest
This mangaka's art is always incredible. I'm an huge fan of fated pair Omega/Alpha stories, and I found this one funny and cute. The Alpha was a bit of a jerk at start, but in the end he was a good guy and loved Hana. And what to say about our Omega? He was so cute and naive, but at the same time had a pretty dirty mind.
Whew this was a ride, as most omegaverse tends to be. Was not expecting the incest, but okay lol. (The incest is not a couple just a side affect of omega heat/alpha rut)
Picked this up because one of my bl friends said she really liked this one, plus omegaverse is a guilty pleasure of mine. There's a lot to unpack with this one. First of all our mc works at Starnyaks aka Starbucks and the drink recipes... I mean clearly the obnoxious drinks are supposed to be satire, but they don't make sense. I've just been thinking about making these drinks and how annoyed I would be about them if I got them at work lol. They don't make sense! Moving on... Going into this I got a way different vibe from the mc and did not expect him to be the needy, gremlin, weirdo that he is. He's so obsessed with Renjaku's underwear it's hilarious. Speaking of Renjaku.... What a man. He's so pretty and disrespectful. I love it. I mean all the art is gorgeous, but the way Renjaku is drawn especially is... very nice.
This was an absolute mess and I love it in the same way I love Finder. I already have the second volume preordered and I can't wait.
Okay, so I got this one because I've never seen omegaverse works out there outside of fanfic. The story is really simplistic which would have been fine, but there's also kinda incest, which I was not ready for. xD Like it could have just been an ex, why did it have to be the main guy's brother...
The art style is really nice, I like it.
Also it cracks me up that this was sent wrapped in plastic because of the adult content, but I feel like the sex scenes in Seaside Stranger are more explicit. :))))
I do want to read the sequel, but not sure I want to actually buy it? We'll see.
This was such a fast paced read! I really enjoyed it. I've not read a lot of omegaverse, but this one was a wild ride. We follow an Omega named Hana who works at a Starbucks esc cafe. One of his regulars is an Alpha named Renjaku and the two of them start a very hands on experience when Hana goes into heat. Suddenly, Hana's brother shows up to make things more complicated. They had a relationship when they were kids and now his brother wants to live with him. This story was very well drawn and the story was addicting. Normally, these kinds of stories don't interest me but the way it was written was like eating popcorn. I thoroughly enjoyed it, though your mileage may vary.
★★★½ ____ I read the first volume a while ago and remember *loving* it but never got to read the sequel. Now re-reading this since I got the second volume, I don't think it's fantastic, but I still like it. I just have to recognise it has some problems, I'm not 100% sure about the consent and the alpha. The art is gorgeous though.
I don’t want to give this a rating because it isn’t really for me. I’m finding when it comes to BL manga I’m not super interested in the more raunchy ones, I like the sweet/cute ones. So I don’t feel it’s fair to give this a rating when it wasn’t bad, i just didn’t enjoy it because it’s not meant for me
This book...was an experience. Talk about your literal distaste for someone then randomly allowing them to stay over? It was a bit too much with the inconsistencies and nothing really made sense for what was being said verses what they felt or acted like.
Oh gosh, I shouldn't have liked this one as much as I did. The relationship was kinda problematic and the alpha character was an asshole, and I kinda loved it. I kinda really loved it.
This was fast paced, with a good flow. I love me some BL and this one may or may not just make it into my favorites list. Lol I'm super curiouse for where itll go next.
It was alright. I enjoyed it. Caught me off guard with that incest though 😫 why am i suprised? The characters really aren't that deep. I know its an omegaverse yaoi but i still have standards, ya know?
TW: mention of sexual violence . . . . . No. No no no no no. Absolutely not. This took a horrendous turn and got extremely hard to read about halfway through, so I'll just get right to it. I've never read something set in the "Omegaverse" before and I'm all here for world building, but this was fucked. Hana, the blonde, is an omega, and his younger brother, Aoba, is an alpha. Apparently, ten years ago, Hana experienced his first "heat" as an omega, which causes him, among many other things, to exude an extremely potent scent of pheromones; strong enough to attract alphas, because an omega's purpose is to mate and reproduce. Well...his younger brother - WHO WAS 10-YEARS-OLD AT THE TIME - either did it with him or tried to do it with him. And Hana uses this story to try and seduce Renjaku, the dark-haired alpha on the front cover. And it works.....? Are you kidding? Do I even have to say it? That's disgusting. Hana literally says, "I'm the kind of nasty omega who'll seduce anyone." No. No no. We don't seduce our younger brother ten years ago when he was a minor, and then brag about it to use it as a turn-on tactic in order to try and seduce an alpha now ten years later. We don't do that. I feel like I shouldn't have to say that. And then, younger brother Aoba shows up, 20-years-old now, and sexually assaults his older brother, Hana. And THEN, Hana leaves his apartment where it happened after it happens, goes to find Renjaku, and in reference to the extremely strong smell of pheromones Hana is emitting, Renjaku says, "You'd have no one but yourself to blame if you'd gotten r***d on the way here."
Why was this published. The summary on the back of this book and the one written as its blurb on goodreads itself had no mention of the brother situation, of the assault, nothing, which felt very misleading, and honestly, I feel tricked. This should not turn anyone on. This is not sexy. It's disgusting. Di-sgust-ing.

Cute wanton-uke and his tsundere seme. Tons of sex, but the story is still engaging. Usually, I don't quite like wanton bottoms. In this case, I find that wanton-uke rather endearing. The seme is the cold and dominant type. Since the omega uke protagonist is such a pleaser, they match well.
I'll admit I got excited when I saw the shrinkwrapped section of Manga at Barnes and Noble but this first haul was definitely a lesson in do your basic research before buying. LoL. For this one, I knew of omegaverse, I just didn't know all the details... and MPREG ain't my jam. Didn't have to deal with it in Vol. 1 but that def puts me out for Vol. 2. Otherwise a good buy!
Other than being omegaverse, this was not at all what I expected it to be, on any level.
For those unfamiliar with the genre, it’s generally accepted across all different omegaverse... ’verses that a) omegas go into heat and the pheromones make them irresistible to all alphas, and b) the only way to fix this issue without using heat suppressants is for an omega to mate with an alpha. When the omega mates, their pheromones somehow change to only appeal to their mated alpha, thus allowing the omega to walk down the street without getting accosted by alphas who Just Can’t Help It. There are many different flavors of omegaverse out there, some kinder to the omegas than others. Scattering His Virgin Bloom is not one of the kind ones.
There is a lot to unpack here. I could write an entire essay examining and excoriating the representation of the reproductive gender as subhuman, especially when they are critical to the continuation of the species. But I’m not here to complain about that (much). I am here to say HOLY INCEST AND SLUT-SHAMIING, BATMAN.
Our intrepid omega, Hana, is Hana-in-Heat also turns into some irrational, animalistic version of himself, obsessed with nesting with a pair of his lover’s underwear. Having read shifter omegaverse, I don’t have an issue with the nesting so much as the fact Hana is presented as rational and mild-mannered when he isn’t in heat, and then when he is he becomes every bad stereotype in the book and everyone around him begins to doubt his value as a worker and person, and somehow he comes off as this kinky freak with no self-control even though Hana isn’t the one . How come no one in this ’verse is allowed to be horny and rational at the same time?
Pues no...
Mixed feelings about this one. On one hand, the incest makes me uncomfortable–like a "nervous haha is this really happening? Oh it is. Well then" uncomfortable. Granted, I like to be uncomfortable, but I don't know, dude, that's your brother!
On the other hand, I haven't read a lot of omegaverse manga, so I'm interested to see how different authors handle it. This was definitely one way to handle it!
The art is pretty, but I don't love the expressions the characters make during the sex scenes. The sex scenes themselves are fast-paced and not very cloying or erotic, in my opinion. I also found the characters to have shallow motivations with minimal substance. I struggled to relate to or care about any of them. While we got a tiny bit of insight to the ways in which omegas are treated with prejudice in society, the characters don't really engage with it at all. There's a sense of "this is just how it is" and hardly even a reaction to the societal status quo.
I probably won't continue this series, though I might flip through it if it were in front of me. Who can resist BL that's right in front of you with a title as incredible as "Scattering His Virgin Bloom"?! You may enjoy this book if you want mlm omegaverse manga and don't care if it's deep or not.
I'll rate this 2.5 that I'll bump to a 3 - didn't enjoy the substance of the book or its characters, but the art is pretty, the title is great, knotting occurs, more BLs please, and more queer omegaverse manga!

Przeczytałam dwie części w około dwie godziny i zapomniałam napisać "recenzję" wcześniej.
So, this was my first venture into the Omegaverse, and wow, that was something. I learned some new stuff lol! At any rate, this was a different version of BL than I was expecting, and I had to do some googling. I felt really bad for Hana getting publicly outed like he did, and Renjaku might be gorgeous, but what a jerk! A jerk with a soft center maybe, but still. And when the little brother shows up? Yikes. That cliffhanger tho! I enjoyed this, though some parts were a bit disturbing, and I definitely want to find out what happens next. The art is really pretty, especially Renjaku, that swoony bastard! If you, like me, are not familiar with the Omegaverse, I do recommend googling and reading up on it a bit so you can go into this prepared - there is a brief explanation in the book, but it'll be helpful to get a bit more info.
